The House in the Woods - Fiesole

Beautiful location with a panoramic view of Florence below. The host was extremely proactive and responsive in their communications throughout our stay and provided great local recommendations on cafes, parking, etc. The drive up can be a bit tricky with mountain switchback roads that get very narrow so I would recommend you only book this if you have a rental car and are comfortable driving manual transmission, and try to arrive when it is still light out the first night. Gloria, the co-host, drove down to meet us at the last intersection before the private road and escorted us up the first evening, which was really helpful!

The Limonaia della Torretta

A quiet, impeccably furnished heaven. Every need provided for, slept tremendously in the quiet, loved the tiny village two shops and the backyard an oasis from a busy life. Thank you Leonardo. We cannot wait to return.

renovated country house

If you are looking for a slice of paradise, this is the place for you. The house is conveniently located just a few minutes by bus from Florence and about one hour and a half from Pisa, other places of interest (Montepulciano etc) and the southwest part of Tuscany. After spending the day sightseeing, our favorite thing was to come back home and enjoy a glass of wine sitting outside and looking at the uliveto. The rolling hills, the valley, the flowers, nothing can beat the views from this house. Paola and Lapo are the kindest people and were so helpful with everything. We will back for sure.

Podere Tignano, 4-bedroom villa in the Chianti!

MeganRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
How can we even put into words what an incredible experience this was! Antonella was kind and helpful, and her home is just stunning. She made us feel so at home even with our limited Italian. She prepared us a home cooked, four-course meal one night and it was absolutely delicious. She even gave us the leftovers so we could have them for breakfast the next day. The villa was breathtaking and in a perfect location to visit beautiful towns in Tuscany like Pienza, Montepulciano and San Gimignano. We especially loved the pool and visiting with the animals. This was a bucket list stay for us and worth every penny!

Peaceful oasis near the heart of the city. Lover coming home and waking up to see the swallows circling the sky, visible from the gorgeous rooftop kitchen and hang out space. Loved capping our evenings on the terrace after a long day exploring the city. Can’t wait to return !

Zagara Toscana: Earthy design home in Fiesole

YannickRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
What a beautiful and unique place! It looks even better in real life than it does in the pictures. Very peaceful and well appointed. A bit tricky with a car since the roads and driveway are quite narrow, but we managed! Quite a few stairs, but it’s well worth the effort and adds to the beauty and incredible views. Kiran is very helpful and pleasure to communicate with.
