Family-friendly vacation rentals in Santa Croce, Florence

Everything was great about the stay! We were really starving the day of ur arrival and Francesca was able to bring us some food for her that was all needed to kick start our day!

We had an absolute perfect stay in Salverio and Lorenzo's flat. It was incredibly spacious - very unusual to have a 3 bedroom/3 bath flat to rent in such a highly sought after part of Firenze. The decor was a perfect blend of antiques and art mixed with contemporary furnishings. Having a washer/dryer was a fantastic addition. Our favorite part of the flat was the rooftop terrace at sunset. You feel like you are on top of all of Firenze looking across the buildings. The duomo view was breathtaking. It was magical and truly stunning. The location could not be more suitable for proximity to all of the sights and indulge in luxury shopping. Salverio and Lorenzo were so helpful and accommodating. We will most assuredly be back! Thank you to you both!

I can not say enough about Alessandra and her amazing land! It was the most magical place we have ever been to. We are taking a 3 month trip, hitting up 21 cities in Europe and this is BY far the best! She was so kind and took us shopping and back to our train! She was always there when we needed her.thank you Alessandra we will see you next year!

Max was a thoughtful, responsive, kind and helpful host! We appreciated the care he took to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, the maps with suggestions for where to eat and what to do were a great bonus. We loved learning about his family history and staying in his family home - that was beautifully preserved and updated for our convenience! We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to come back again!

We loved our time at Luciano’s place and can’t wait to go back. His beautiful space was spotless and well located and coffee and cocktails on the terrace were spectacular! He was so warm on arrival and responsive during our visit—we were so sad to leave!

What can I say. The most beautiful place I’ve ever stayed. It’s not just an Airbnb property, it’s an experience. If you don’t love Giovanni and his obvious passion for what he does, there’s something wrong with you. The pictures look great, but they don’t do it justice. Such an incredible business in the most incredible location looked after with incredible attention to detail. Book it, you won’t find better.

I was in Florence for work for 2 weeks and this apartment was perfect. Very comfortable and well equipped with a beautiful back garden. Less than a 10 minute walk to grocery stores and restaurants. It is also an easy 30-40 minute walk into the historic centre but also easily connected with busses or the tram. The hosts were very welcoming and responsive. I would definitely recommend!

I think Maurizio's home is a true gem! fantastic layout, pictures don't do it justice, comfortable and classical. ten feet away from the best restaurants, coffee, and many other attractions. I can't wait until I can return.

We stayed here in 2016 and it was even better than we remembered. A beautiful apartment, quiet and private, with amazing original features. The area is residential and round the corner is San Ambrogio food market. Lovely local restaurants all use fresh ingredients from the market. Wonderful evening in a street filled with locals enjoying food and drink. We could have spent the whole time exploring the locality.

Antonio is a great host and his place is so unique! Everything was clean (in fact he was finishing tidying up when we arrived), the decoration is funny and adorable, the bathroom is unexpected but it all works together beautifully! Location is priceless. Antonio was always available and made our stay extra pleasant. The stairs to the apartment are a challenge after a day walking around, but the reward to arrive at Antonio's place makes up for it! Definitely recommend, I just wish we could stay longer!

Giannas place is the best in Florence because of her warm welcomes and top notch service! She gave us awesome recommendations for food and gelato. The place is spacious and private. Loved every second of it. 5 ⭐️

Asso's Place was the perfect home for our family in Florence!  The most luxurious Air BnB we've found to date - with original paintings, a generous supply of records, DVDs, and books galore.  The Duomo felt so close that we could reach out the window and touch it. The location was walking distance from all the major attractions and excellent restaurants. Piero and Raffaela were perfect hosts, reaching out to us with information about restaurants, shopping, and sites to visit, and answering every question quickly. Raffaella greeted us in person and pointed out important features of the apartment.  All of our needs were met to perfection.

We had such a lovely stay at Lola’s place. The garden was lovely to relax in during the evenings and the location was perfect - walkable to the main attractions in Florence but quieter and less hectic than being right in the centre which was perfect for us! Lola was so friendly and helpful - she gave us loads of recommendations for local restaurants and helped us with queries during our stay. She also gave us lots of cute thoughtful gifts for our baby!

I really loved this apartment. It was beautiful and with real atmosphere and character. I loved all the books, and listening to some of the CDs added to the experience of being in such a lovely space. It was beautifully decorated throughout and with a very well equipped kitchen. It was a pleasure to be in! All communication with Sofia ahead of and during the visit was great and she was a very helpful and welcoming host. We usually walked to and from the tourist area of town and used the buses a few times. Both ways were fine and easy. The neighbourhood itself is lovely and peaceful. I would recommend this apartment for sure. One thing to be aware of is that it can be a little noisy for sleeping. If, like me, you are a light sleeper you will need to use ear plugs. This is in no way o critiism of the space or the host, it is just a feature of an older building ( pre double glazing etc!) where the bedroom faces the street. Thank you for a lovely stay Sofia.

Anna Rita's place was even more beautiful than the pictures and in a great location. Anna Rita's sister, Lucia met us when we arrived. She gave us a tour, explaining how everything works. The space was large and welcoming. The outside terrace was especially beautiful and a peaceful place to unwind. The upstairs master suite was extraordinary. It was comfortable, quiet, spacious and had a balcony overlooking the terrace. The only downside was that the downstairs bedroom could get quite loud due to the adjacent restaurant on the other side of the wall. Our host was always very responsive. We will definitely return!

We had a beautiful stay at Barbara’s house - we actually even cancelled some of our day trips just to relax there because of the beautiful views, birdsong and relaxed atmosphere! You need a car to access the house, but it’s only 10 mins drive to the nearest train station directly into Florence. Wonderful hiking trails directly from the house with stunning sights across the Tuscan hills. Such a wonderful stay. Thanks Barbara!

We had a truly wonderful stay – for all five of us! The house and the outdoor area were absolutely beautiful, even better than in the pictures. Everything was spotless, charming, well maintained, and well equipped. The garden was stunning, and the whole place felt peaceful and private. Ilaria and Francesco were the kindest hosts – helpful, responsive, and incredibly welcoming. We’re already thinking about coming back for a summer holiday (the pool and AC are perfect!). Great location for day trips to Pisa and Florence, and there are lovely restaurants nearby. It was an amazing birthday trip and really good value. Anna was a fantastic host, who treated us with the upmost respect and kindness. While her place is a bit difficult to find at first, once you're there, you're in one of the most beautiful scenes we've seen during our time in Italy. Also, it was close enough that we were still early able to travel into Florence each day we were there. Anna was so nice in providing us with breakfast each morning, which included apricot jam from her fruit trees and homemade bread. We would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a quiet place to stay outside of the busy city.

We loved our stay at Michaela’s house. The views were beautiful and it was a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Great location, very short walk to the town or easy bus ride into the center of Florence. We will definitely be back!

Cristina is a lovely host and the place is beautiful. I’d highly recommend the breakfast that Cristina makes completely fresh!! The swimming pool is immaculate and the whole atmosphere of the place is just lovely. We spent 5 nights here with 2 children (17 and 13) and will definitely return if we ever stay in Tuscany again. We will definitely be back! The location is about 30-40 minutes from the main city in Florence. Federico recommended we rent a car but we didn’t want to drive in an area we were unfamiliar with. We were provided with the bus schedule which was very easy to take to the city. We planned ahead and bought some groceries in Florence before heading back to the property. We got lucky with getting taxis at the property to eat at a nearby restaurant (Ristorante San Martino) but it wasn’t as convenient as getting one in Florence (had to wait a bit). The place was just as described, very relaxing and just what we wanted! All in all a great experience. We were so sad to leave!

We had an exceptional time during our stay! The venue was gorgeous, and the villa had such exceptional views from the garden and the pool. Highly recommend partaking in the cooking class in the original kitchen.

It was in an incredibly beautiful location but it was kind of far from town and you would definitely need a car to get there. The distance and the means of getting there were extremely worth it as you got to be in the countryside and admire the natural beauty. Giovanni and Michela were very good at communicating all instructions and even gave us tips for what to do in the area. The apartment was very nice and clean. The upstairs patio and its views were breathtaking.
