Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Saint Matthews

This apartment was a great find and a great deal for the weekend! I used to live in the area and periodically return to visit friends, go to events, etc. and I would definitely stay here again. There are plenty of things to do within walking distance and/or within a very short drive. The location was easy to get to and easy to enter with the instructions provided by our host. The area is safe and vibrant, and a huge plus is a parking lot right at the location of the stay. The apartment was clean, home-y, and there were plenty of amenities like towels, dishes and cutlery, and coffee pods (!!) provided. The biggest issue that we had was the smell of marijuana at one point from the building, but that is not the host's fault and it was a very brief nuisance that did not last the entire stay. Our host was very communicative and friendly, and I'm sure if we had needed anything they would have been on the ball. I will be back for sure!

This was our 2nd stay, perfect for my husband and me and our two fur boys. Very comfortable accommodations and we appreciate the fenced back yard.

This was our third time now staying at Courtney’s and we will be back next year for two more stays. I think my wife said it best as we were leaving this morning……she said “I just love this place. Courtney thinks of everything.”

Lil Blue was exactly what we needed for our trip to Louisville. It was beautifully decorated, very clean, with lots of space. Amy was quick to communicate and super friendly. I have already been recommending her place to others.

This Airbnb was perfect for a night away with our toddler. The selling point was the pack-n'play, high chair and kids toys so we didn't have to bring anything extra. We slept great, shower and amenities were great. We went to the Louisville Zoo the next morning, about a 20 minute drive from the AirBnb. Would definitely stay again!

Brandon was very accommodating and let us check out late. House was clean and was great for our stay. Always appreciate an Air BnB that allows dogs.

Loved this cute house for my family and I. Willie and Sue left a very detailed message about everything before we got there and gave their numbers incase we needed anything which I appreciated. The house was very clean and comfortable. The location is great. It’s minutes away from shopping, food, and coffee shops! We were sad to leave. We hope to be back!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was great, and the TV was huge! It was clean and the backyard spaces were really great. The owners communicated really well. They offered a lot of recommendations! I don’t know if we’ll ever go back to Louisville, but we’ll stay with them if we do!

Cozy cottage is exactly as you would expect something to be cozy as it is very small. But it was absolutely lovely for two people for two days. Probably the cleanest Airbnb we’ve been in! The host Tyler was super responsive answer questions quickly and even brought over some hangers when I asked about a hanger. I would definitely book here again for a weekend.

Melody’s place is calm, peaceful and a comfortable setting. She has thought of every detail and is proactive with instructions and sights that are around the area. Worked out perfectly for my visit!

Would stay here again! Great location close to Bardstown road. Wonderful to be able to bring the dogs. Stairs were very steep so a little difficult for an older dog but we just carried him. Apple Maps instructions take you to the back of the house.

This was one of the best stays I’ve had . The bed was so comfortable, the staff were really nice and the view was perfect by the water . It was worth every penny .

My boyfriend and I had a great stay at Libor’s place. We were in town for a weekend wedding, and the location was perfect—close to restaurants, coffee shops, and some really cute thrift and regular stores. The house itself was super cute and spacious. The only thing we really missed was a full-length mirror, especially since we had to get dressed up often. It would’ve been very helpful to have one. Overall we recommend Libor’s place!

The host was great at communicating with us before, during and after our stay. They not only provided so much useful information about the home and area but gave customized information, worked with us for an early check-in and checked on us after we arrived. She's super friendly and the home is great. With the 2 rules being take off shoes and have fun... it was a great place and somewhere we would certainly stay again if we're in the area.

Loved staying here. More than large enough for one person, cozy bed, clean bathroom, suitable work space. Another nice touch was the record player with a nice selection of records to play! Grateful to Lisa for being so communicative throughout. Recommended!

We enjoyed our stay at Jessica's place! The studio is neat, clean, with fun character. The location is walkable to Nulu area where there is plenty to do - amazing restaurants, stores, and places to get a drink. We also wallked to downtown Louisville as well. Instructions on entering and leaving were all clear to follow. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

James‘s place is absolutely beautiful!! I stayed here for a little getaway from all the stress at home and my stay was nothing but amazing. I truly felt at home and everything I could’ve possibly needed was there. Also bonus points for how easy check-in was!

We had an amazing stay at Matt's condo—it was cozy, well-stocked, and instantly felt like home. The guidebook provided was incredibly detailed and helpful, offering clear instructions and great local recommendations. The location is ideal, within walking distance to restaurants, bars, and breweries, and just a short drive to downtown or Churchill Downs. The condo itself is super comfortable with plenty of in-house entertainment options including video and board games, streaming services, disco lights, and fast Wi-Fi. Matt was an exceptional host—attentive, communicative from the start, and very accommodating. This place truly deserves five stars, and I’d happily stay here again on my next visit!

Nice safe place for the value. Wasn’t a fan of the parking with a large SUV and current remodeling but it was safe and clean. The living area was spacious and comfortable. Rooms were clean.

I came out to Louisville to visit my sister who was having a baby. This place was super convenient for us since it was so close to the hospital. It was easy to get in and all the rooms were super clean. I definitely would come back to stay again!

Check involved a few steps, but clear instructions are provided and we were able to get in easily. Great place to stay and would return!

We stayed in the pent and it was beautiful. Loved the private balcony. Walking distance to lots of eateries and distilleries. Only negative is the bright EXIT sign when trying to sleep. It is very bright and lights up the entire room. This is a regulated fire code so there isn’t anything that can be done about it. Overall loved it still.

Absolutely wonderful stay at this charming boutique apartment! Will definitely keep this in our short list of places to stay. Very affordable and within walking distance of a lot of fun restaurants and bars!
