The host has a cat that lives in the hostel. All other amenities in the common area are shared. Hiker, skier, college and graduate students, international, and conversationalist love this place.

The Acorn is part of the 60 acre, 137 year old Oakland House property that has been operated as a summer vacation destination since it was opened to guests on July 4th, 1889. Once an ice house and even a casino, the Acorn is a quaintly rustic piece of history we hope you enjoy! Romp of Otters is a private room with one queen bed and is tastefully decorated with antique furnishings. Room is accessed from an exterior staircase off the porch.
