Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Saint-Denis-d'Oléron

Ideally located close to the port, beaches and the daily market in the city center, travel does not require a car. The rooms are spacious with large closets, the kitchen well-equipped as well as the living room. The exteriors allow you to eat outside. Finally, parking is available in front of the house. I would recommend this rental.

A few little glitches which were resolved in amusing fashion involving my french, Fiona's English, Google translate and cameraphone.Importantly the house was very comfy and well appointed and close to wonderful beaches.On our last night we experienced the most wonderful burnt orange, white and blue sunset. Plenty to explore on the island and if you like fish and shellfish you won't be disappointed! Thanks to Fiona and her parents, who checked us out, for a very memorable 2 weeks. We had a great holiday: from check-in to departure. Especially great for us were the bikes, so we could explore the area & make excursions. the living room is bigger than in the pictures. Accommodation not far from the Chassiron lighthouse and the beach. Too bad there's no barbecue, even though we understand the reasons.

The advantage of renting is that we don't need a car, we walk to nearby shops, market every morning fresh and local produce. We had a pleasant stay in the charming studio, ideally located! Close to the beach, shops and market square. Although very close to the heart of the village, the accommodation is extremely quiet! Cécile and Eric's hosting was perfect. They care about your well-being throughout the entire stay. We'll be happy to go back to this rental :-) We highly recommend this listing!

A very nice apartment overlooking the harbor entrance - located between the Ketten and Laternenturm. The property is located in a beautiful old house made of white limestone. The apartment was well ventilated by many skylights and the slopes make the apartment very charming. There are a variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, a beach is 5 minutes away and downtown La Rochelle is also a few minutes away. We arrived by train and did a lot on foot or by rental bike. The property is also within walking distance of the train station.

A gem , close to the port , shabby chic interior with gorgeous touches . Patricia was a most helpful host and made our arrival very special . Small but perfectly formed studio with everything one needs . Highly recommended

Super Host, large and bright apartment with a very nice decor and lots of facilities. View from the window of the pretty building of the Marché des Marennes with its Baltard-style architecture and the three restaurants less than a minute away. 10 min by bike to the beach (thank you for the bike:)). The large parking lot of Place Carnot is 100 m away. Special mention for the layout of the apartment (there must be about twenty light points and sockets and the kitchen is used with much more than the essentials). Thank you for everything, we'll be back with pleasure.

Excellent location: The accommodation is very clean and functional. Dominique is welcoming and accommodating. Special mention to the bedding, which is very comfortable. Ideally located, the residence is very nice, Saint Martin en Ré is a charming village. I would highly recommend it.

Corinne is such an amazing and responsive host, and her place was exactly what we needed. Would 100% recommend. A bit about the apartment: it looked exactly as described, comfortable and clean. Its location probably can’t be better since it was right by the pier of Saint-Martin, a very charming and calm village. Now, the real stars were the hosts. Corinne herself was very responsive and proactive and even though she wasn’t there at check-in, she arranged for a family member to not only be there and greet us, but also drive us from the La Rochelle train station to the island. She also called the bus company to confirm our bus time upon departure and was kind enough to allow a later check in so we had a place to leave our belongings while waiting for our train. Overall, amazing hosts. Thank you!

Very quiet for the studio. For those who love walking, I've been spoiled. Xavier is responsive and helped me a lot. Good restaurants.

Maryse is a very nice and available host and she is also very accommodating for check-in and check-out when possible! The apartment is ideally located. We rented for our 3-day weekend and we did everything on foot! The parking space is a big plus. We highly recommend Maryse and her property! You can go there without so much as a second thought, you won't be disappointed! Very eager to return to La Rochelle in this very beautiful property, tastefully decorated and so well located in La Rochelle!

2nd stay in this residence, but changing apartments this time, even arriving late no worries to find, and being able to park right in front is clearly a plus with luggage!! The apartment is great, well decorated, the bed super comfortable We had a problem with the pool and the problem was solved within hours, we will come back without problem for a future stay!!!
