Vacation rentals with beach access in Saint-Denis-d'Oléron

We spent a very enjoyable week in Valerie's apartment. She and her husband welcomed us at the door even though our flight was delayed. A gift of brioche , orange juice and a locally produced aperitif was a nice touch. The apartment is spotlessly clean and has everything one could possibly need. it was really quiet in spite of being on the Quai which is a hive of activity. She replied to any communication within minutes. Highly recommended.

Perfectly located appartment, and the garage is a huge advantage. Very nice place to stay at, close to everything, and easy to get in/out. I would not recommended it if you have small kids. There is some safety issues like the stairs, windows, plugs, and furniture that can fall.

A very nice apartment overlooking the harbor entrance - located between the Ketten and Laternenturm. The property is located in a beautiful old house made of white limestone. The apartment was well ventilated by many skylights and the slopes make the apartment very charming. There are a variety of restaurants in the immediate vicinity, a beach is 5 minutes away and downtown La Rochelle is also a few minutes away. We arrived by train and did a lot on foot or by rental bike. The property is also within walking distance of the train station.

Super Host, large and bright apartment with a very nice decor and lots of facilities. View from the window of the pretty building of the Marché des Marennes with its Baltard-style architecture and the three restaurants less than a minute away. 10 min by bike to the beach (thank you for the bike:)). The large parking lot of Place Carnot is 100 m away. Special mention for the layout of the apartment (there must be about twenty light points and sockets and the kitchen is used with much more than the essentials). Thank you for everything, we'll be back with pleasure.

Martine's cozy attached cottage is a perfect place to stay in St. Georges. The apartment is great for two people and Martine has supplied just about any convenience you can think of. The bed was very comfortable, parking was right in front, patios in front and in back. We loved the wall of jasmine in front. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach (shorter if you have a bike - which many people do). Also, there is a couple great restaurants close by. Martine is lovely and was very flexible with our check in time. She always got back to us very quickly. I would highly recommend this cute little beach abode.

Very nice house, very well decorated and very well-equipped. It has a holiday and relaxation atmosphere. Some inconveniences nonetheless: we hear the noise from the road which is very busy or even dangerous when you want to cross it. The wifi is only accessible in the bedrooms while it is in the living room that we use it the most. It would also be nice to offer an all-inclusive option (cleaning and bed linen) widely spread on airbnb. It is inconvenient to have to contact the concierge to order cleaning and sheets. It's still a great place!

A few little glitches which were resolved in amusing fashion involving my french, Fiona's English, Google translate and cameraphone.Importantly the house was very comfy and well appointed and close to wonderful beaches.On our last night we experienced the most wonderful burnt orange, white and blue sunset. Plenty to explore on the island and if you like fish and shellfish you won't be disappointed! Thanks to Fiona and her parents, who checked us out, for a very memorable 2 weeks. the living room is bigger than in the pictures. Accommodation not far from the Chassiron lighthouse and the beach. Too bad there's no barbecue, even though we understand the reasons.

Celine’s house was lovely and extremely well located. The lovely restaurants of La Flotte and the local market were a short walk, and we loved biking around the island. The house itself is gorgeous. We will definitely return!

Beautiful accommodation ideally located in La Cotinière where you can do the main things on foot. Very well equipped and very well decorated with its beautiful terrace and courtyard to park the car. Laurent's restaurant tips were well appreciated and the place is great for discovering Oléron. A big congratulations to Sébastien and Laurent, we can only recommend this beautiful accommodation!

Warning: you'll love it! It is with great nostalgia that we left this rental... We had a wonderful week (very exotic for us who come from Haute-Savoie!) in a privileged location just a short walk from the ocean. The house is lovely, you immediately feel at home! Everything was perfect, as shown in the photos, nothing was missing. Tania is a perfect host. We only have one desire now… to come back next year. Corinne is such an amazing and responsive host, and her place was exactly what we needed. Would 100% recommend. A bit about the apartment: it looked exactly as described, comfortable and clean. Its location probably can’t be better since it was right by the pier of Saint-Martin, a very charming and calm village. Now, the real stars were the hosts. Corinne herself was very responsive and proactive and even though she wasn’t there at check-in, she arranged for a family member to not only be there and greet us, but also drive us from the La Rochelle train station to the island. She also called the bus company to confirm our bus time upon departure and was kind enough to allow a later check in so we had a place to leave our belongings while waiting for our train. Overall, amazing hosts. Thank you!

Beautiful apartment, fabulous views (even from the shower!), and delightful little private beach - where our kids enjoyed playing while we played boules on the lawn above. Lovely walk into the old port, either along the beach path, or inland along the beautiful grassy avenue. Great restaurants in the town, although we enjoyed most meals at home so we could make the most of the fantastic views. A wonderful stay!

We had a lovely stay at Valerie's apartment. Tastefully decorated, we were pleasantly surprised by all the little touches and equipment. Great location, we were able to do anything on foot. Living during the day but quiet at night. Not insignificant little more: private parking in a city where all spaces are paid. I recommend it. Looking forward to coming back to this little cocoon.

We had a lovely stay at Ingrid's apartment. It is located close to the port. Facing to the west, it is sunny at the end of the day . It has a parking space and bike storage in a secure residence (a big plus for a stay on Île de Ré where the interest is to get around by bike). It is well equipped and very clean. Bedding is good. Ingrid is friendly and available. Good location!
