Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sail Bay

Alain’s house is incredible! It’s perfectly located near the center of Pacific Beach but far enough out you don’t get any of the night life/noise around the Airbnb. Kitchen, BBQ, rooftop lounge with hot tub were all in great condition and very clean. Alain was very friendly and gave great recommendations for local bars, coffee shops, and restaurants in the nearby area. They even left doughnuts and a thank you card for us when we arrived. 10/10 would book this Airbnb again!

Simon was a great host and provided more amenities than we thought! The decorations made the place feel warm and inviting. The walk to the beach was literally only a few minutes and we were able to walk to some restaurants and markets down the street easily. Overall I would highly recommend this place!

We enjoyed our stay with our 2 kiddos. Easily walkable to the beach and restaurants (Azucar is a MUST for coffee/pastries) and it was awesome having the wagon and beach chairs. Hot tub was great.

I had a great time staying at Thelma De La Paz’s place! The space was cozy, very clean, and exactly what I needed for a comfortable stay. Thelma was a wonderful host - polite, welcoming, and super responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend!

Our stay in Bird Rock was amazing. This rental was exactly what we were looking for. Super accessible to everything we needed. Short drive to beaches and restaurants (if you want to go further into La Jolla). Plentiful coffee, pastries, açaí bowls all around. It was great spending mornings on the roof top patio drinking our coffee and planning the day. 10/10 would stay again. Thanks Matt!

I wanted to move in and stay forever. When I saw the giant bird sculptures in the photos, I was a little unsure, but they make for a great atmosphere. The murals and personal touches are fantastic for a great vacation spot. Sandra was an amazing host and even picked up a graduation decoration package for us and put those up, so it was one less thing to do during busy, busy graduation time. The rooftop deck and the third floor make it a great place for family and teenagers. The beds are very comfortable, the master shower is perfect, and everything was sparkling clean. We loved the quiet neighborhood, and parking both in the garage and on the street was easy. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this stay.

Answered all of my questions, quiet neighborhood, view from the water that was better than the description, walkable to ocean beach and area. The private entrance was very nice. It was a beautiful location !

This air bnb was the best place we could have stayed in San Diego. It had everything we needed and there were so many thoughtful touches. All I wanted was a Southern California beach vacation and Kristen had all of the gear we needed for that. We went to several beaches during our stay and it was about a 30 minute drive to every beach we went after waiting out morning rush hour traffic. Her backyard was my favorite part of our trip as we love watching sunrises and sunsets and it was so peaceful with great views. There is a lot of natural light in the air bnb as I didn’t understand initially there are solar tube lights throughout the unit which I thought were really cool. The air bnb is in a safe and quiet neighborhood and is a convenient location. The bed itself was very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to cook meals with a full kitchen and be able to do laundry. I would definitely will return when back in San Diego.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Airbnb! The location was stunning, with ocean views and the soothing sound of the waves—it was the perfect place to relax after a day out. There were several great restaurants within walking distance, and we loved being able to grab snacks from the nearby Oxxo, just a short 5-minute walk away. The host was very accommodating, allowing us an early check-in, which we really appreciated. Security at the front was helpful and friendly—they assigned us a parking space and made it easy to find the building. We did experience a couple of minor issues: the shower wasn’t draining properly, and on the third day, the door wouldn't lock. The host responded quickly to our messages, but unfortunately, no one showed up after we waited about an hour. However, the issue was resolved while we were out, so everything was fine when we returned. Despite those small hiccups, we had a lovely time and would definitely consider staying here again. Perfect beach bungalow for a weekend getaway! The bungalow is exactly as described, super charming, and just a great space to relax. Lots of natural light and the perfect cross-breeze. Even our dog enjoyed his stay! :)

Sue was very friendly and quick to respond to questions. Great recommendations from both her and her husband, Ryan! They both including Teeco (their dog) made us feel very welcomed! I would recommend their place to my friends and my husband will come here for a quick get away!

We are so grateful to have been able to stay at Gwynn's place, it is so peaceful and lovely. Like a secret garden getaway. We loved all the small touches, and beauty of the space. Gwynn made us feel very welcome and comfortable! The pool is amazing and the outdoor spaces are delightful. Can't wait to stay here again.

I was looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to relax and recharge and this fit perfectly. Anita and Brian are great hosts, friendly and helpful but still respected my privacy. The setting is also beautifully landscaped and the deck was great to have for relaxing and enjoying the water view. I can highly recommend.

A perfect place for our family during our short stay in San Diego. Clean, comfortable, conveniently located and excellent value. Teri also went above and beyond and we really appreciated her proactive help.

Anthony’s apartment was just what I needed for my adult son and me. 2 twin beds in the living room worked well as another bedroom without the cost of a 2 bedroom. The kitchen is small but had all we needed to make bfast in the mornings. Helpful to have a parking spot in back and washer dryer in unit. I really enjoyed the location next to an urban park, pretty neighborhood for walks, and short walk to restaurants and coffee shop. Anthony was super helpful when we arrived.

The apartment is, well appointed, spacious & complete with everything you could want. The gardens are beyond beautiful, with lots of interesting trees and shrubbery and even a walking trail around the whole property. The pool is lovely and child safe. We felt very safe, there was an entry code for the front gate and another for our unit. The whole house is located in a beautiful, upscale area.

The apartment was so close to all the restaurants and easy to get to anywhere within around 15 minutes drive. Tina was an amazing host and on hand to answer any questions.
