Late Gothic house from 1519

The late Gothic residential building from 1519 is the oldest, preserved residential building in the Untermhaus district & has been very elaborately restored & renovated in 4 years. The former building ruin has become a small gem. Particular emphasis was placed on the expansion with ecological building materials, such as clay & lime, clay paints. Many old historical components were reinstalled. During the dismantling work, another, hand-painted, approx. 500-year-old plank ceiling was discovered on the 2nd floor.

Our cozy 25 m² holiday home with garden and barbecue area is surrounded by nature, directly on the Saale and on the Saale bike path in the vineyards of the spa town of Bad Kösen in the Burgenland district. From here you can quickly reach interesting excursion destinations such as Naumburg Cathedral, our numerous castles or Pforta Monastery, as well as historical places and larger cities such as Jena, Leipzig or Weimar. Private access to the canal with a small jetty is available. Garden sauna and kayak/SuP are available upon request.
