The nearest station, Keihaka Otani Station, is a 7-minute walk, and JR Otsu Station is a 5-minute drive. There are two delicious and famous long-established eel shops near the nearest Otani Station. It is less than a 10-minute walk from Keihan Otani Station to the inn, but it is a bit of an uphill walk, so if you have a lot of luggage at check-in or don't like walking, we recommend taking a taxi from JR Otsu Station or coming by car. Free parking is available right in front of the inn.Parking is available for 2 vehicles, so it is convenient for 2 groups.

I am an Artist / Photographer born in Kyoto I started hosting because I love meeting people from all over the world and making new friends. This place used to be one big guesthouse, but during Covid19, I have stopped running the guesthouse and I moved in with my wife and 2 kids. Still I didn't want to give up so I left the good parts. Private cypress bath and renovated rooms and made another entrance for the Guests. So now it is 2 separate house Please check the house rules before you book.

YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.
