This holiday home was perfect for our family to come together & enjoy an immaculate, peaceful, fully equipped beautiful holiday home. The communication was excellent between the owners & ourselves always coming back with answers right away when we sent a message. I would higly recommend this home to anyone looking for an unforgettable lake get away with the perfect holiday home experience.

We had a lovely stay at Bob’s place. The house is right by the lake with beautiful views — a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature. The location is also super convenient for getting around. Inside, the home feels warm and welcoming, with a light green and white color scheme that adds a peaceful vibe. Bob was incredibly approachable and always quick and kind in his communication. We felt well taken care of. Highly recommend this stay!

The place is quite spacious and very cozy. Our group really enjoyed staying at the house. The place have everything you might need, a lot of utensils in the kitchen, nice backyard area, 2 bathrooms and 1 additional toilet so it was handy with 11 people. Place is quite clean and has a lot of things that you might need, e.g. laundry and dryer in the garage. We also used bbq to grill some dinner and nice oven in case you want to cook something else rather than bbq. Another very useful thing, there are 2 dishwashers in the kitchen that is also quite useful for a big group like ours. Thank you for our comfortable stay, Norman!

Had a lovely stay here. House was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable, nice sheets and towels. Great to be able to bring our dog with us, fully fenced garden was perfect. Lots of board games, books and things to keep us busy on the rainy days. Tanya was lovely and met us at the door, we were given a tour and all the info we needed, including a quick rundown on the local restaurants and shops. Location was very good, close to everything but far enough away to be quiet. We appreciated being able to put the car in the garage as well. Would definitely recommend staying here 😊

Great place for a family especially toddlers, we found the place perfect for older children as well. Definitely would book again!

We had an amazing time at Gary's and Jude's place. The house was private, spacious, and well-equipped including Kayaks. It was pet and family friendly with a fully fenced deck and a breath-taking view over Lake Tarawera. The swimming and fishing was great! We loved every minute of our stay.

The house was great and had everything we needed. Adam was very responsive and took care of our needs. Would highly recommend this stay!

Perfect location to enjoy all that Rotorua has to offer. We rode our mountain bikes right from the house into the spectacular Whakarewarewa forest. Having access to the garage was very helpful to store and care for our bikes. The house is large and spacious with every amenity we needed. Many great restaurants and shops were a short drive into the center of town. Kate was a great host, we enjoyed our stay very much!

Dan's place is just a piece of paradise! Right in front of the lake, with private jetty and private ramp, away from the main road, totally safe for children. Highly recommend! Dan is very responsive and welcoming, makes you feel like home. Looking forward to return again!

The views are spectacular, old school batch, not fancy but functional

If you're looking for the ideal location to experience all that Rotorua has to offer, look no further! This beautiful house, with its lovely lake views, is conveniently situated within a short drive of the Redwood Forest, the town center, geothermal walks, and relaxing spa experiences. Marlene and Jason were very responsive and super helpful. Plus, having a dog-friendly space with a great hill for exploring (and amazing views!) was a huge bonus. We highly recommend this property!

Gorgeous place. We met the friendly neighbour who filled us in about the history of area. Location was lovely. In true form my daughter left behind her iPad and the host was kind enough to arrange for this to be posted to us.

Lynden and his family were great hosts, they were very accomodating to our needs and were very responsive. The place was very nice and clean, good location as well, the lakes and other parks were in walkable distance. Highly recommend.

Tamson’s place was perfect for our family (parents, with adult children, their partners, plus dogs). Beautiful big home with space and privacy for everyone. Areas to swim, walk, run or bike around different lakes, private spa to relax in afterwards. Close enough to Rotorua for shopping, but out in beautiful nature and so peaceful. Highly recommend Tamson’s place!

The most caring host I’ve ever dealt with on Airbnb, very understanding and kind, this will be the only place I’ll come back to stay at when I’m back with my family in Rotorua, next time my wife will do all the booking ;) lol

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

This might sound like a bad review but it is not meant as such. It's so future guests aren't surprised. We enjoyed our stay here immensely. The chalet was perfect for a couple. Nice comfy firm bed, good kitchenette and ensuite. The chalet is on the grounds of a Christian camp facility for horse riding. The grounds are expansive. There's a small lake with kayaks for use. There's a pool with cool water and a very warm open air spa. The grounds themselves are lovely but the pool area needs some aesthetic tidying. The pools are clean and good - they just need their floors painted. They're also amongst what seems to be a semi abandoned construction area. But get past that superficial stuff, the pools are fine for purpose. A dawn spa was delightful. The grounds themselves seem to have 500 unfinished DIY projects on the go. The roads around the facility seem to have been through an artillery barrage so if you have a very low profile car, be wary. Despite the above we LOVED staying here. It was hot weather when we stayed and the room was very warm. In fact it could use a plug-in fan to circulate the air a bit. I totally recommend staying here and when I come back to Rotorua I'd definitely stay here again.
