My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.

The enclosed front porch displays a view through large, multi-pane windows, allowing natural light to illuminate the space. A small decorative birdcage sits on a white ledge, while greenery and neighboring houses can be seen outside, contributing to the inviting atmosphere.

This bright and quaint historical little house is one block from the downtown district. This 2nd retreat has a charming enclosed front porch for sitting, a quiet serene space to enjoy your morning coffee or glass of wine, to read a book or just to sit and relax. It had been 30 years since I've been to Hubbard lake. And the area is the same Beautiful wonderful place. I check out most of the Restaurants. And they were all great to. Unfortunately I found out that the Stone Bar, Smokies and Cedar Grove all had caught on fire and had to be rebuilt. There was a lot of history in those original establishments. I felt right at home in the cottage. It was very clean and had everything you needed, plus. Also being on the northwest side of lake is great. Very good location. I will be coming back. Thank you Bob. B

Long Lake Cottage

This is my group's second time staying at Beth's place. Every other year me, my dad, and a couple friends drive up to Michigan to fish. The house is situated perfect for us. The dock makes it easy for us to keep the boats right there at the back door so we don't have to worry about anyone messing with our stuff. They've installed outlets out back, making it easy on us to charge the batteries. They even have a spot across the road to keep our trailers. Beth is always quick to respond. She and her husband and great hosts, and we never have to worry about anything. Everything is exactly as described which is why we knew booking this place would suit all of our needs. If you're wanting a great place to stay on long lake, this is it.

Irishman's Retreat - Year round escape

The entire experience was great from the pre-stay communication. Todd was very responsive, checking in to see if the driveway needed plowed, offered to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a winter storm and he graciously was able to allow us another night with a later check out so we could leave at a safe time. Plan to return. Home was a great place to stay, and had comfortable sleeping as well as good appliances, etc. Highly recommend.

super clean place to stay. pet friendly but you wouldn’t be able to tell that other animals had been in the place. let me check in 3 hours earlier. would recommend staying here.

All I can say is AMAZING!!! The house was spotless!! There was everything you could think of already there, from extra bedding, toiletries, fans, kitchen supplies!! The setting was beautiful! Very quiet and very comfortable. Hosts were very friendly and responsive to answer any questions! Would definitely recommend for a family stay!
