The accommodation was perfect, great location, close to walks, activities, historic sites and shops. There is a lakeside bar a short walk away. Views from the house looking out to Lake Scanno and the mountains are spectacular! Great hosts, very responsive. Excellent experience. Giovanni and his mom are two exquisite people, they welcomed us with extreme kindness and immediately made themselves available. The house is a little gem in the old upper town of Castel di Sangro, a very quiet and well-maintained place. The center of the village is a 5-minute drive, but if you are a walker, nothing prevents you from getting there on foot in a maximum of 15 minutes. Recommended!

The house was very comfortable. Spacious and functional. Host available. Pease is lively and very nice, with interesting restaurants, pubs and hiking trails. Worth visiting because it deserves it.

Everything was fantastic. Such a beautiful and peaceful area and the hosts were very kind and welcoming! Homemade crostata waiting for us upon arrival and even dropped down a fresh homemade cake while we were there. Perfetto!

Our stay was lovely! How often do you stay in a medieval fortification/castle on top of a mountain? Cozy rooms, everything you need with breathtaking views! Our hosts were very attentive to our needs and helpful with getting us oriented and settled in. My wife and I highly recommend this property.

My partner and I came here as nature tourists after I visited and fell in love with Pettorano sul Gizio during a work trip in May 2023. The accommodation itself was clean and homely, and the views spectacular. We spent a lot of time sitting on the living room balcony watching the birds, and even a wild boar family on the last night! If we were at the accommodation we were probably on the balcony, and we got up at 5am some days to enjoy the dawn chorus. The beauty of this place and its abundance of wildlife cannot be overstated. The town itself is beautiful and we enjoyed the local food and drink on offer from the nearby shop and café. There are many walks to do in the area and local towns to explore. The place was a home away from home and we are sure to return!

We stayed for two nights at Federica's place in Colli a Volturno. House surrounded by nature, a few minutes' drive from the town center and from restaurants and services. Giacomo, who handled the check-in, was very kind to give us tips on what to see in the area and was available. The lake of Castel San Vincenzo is about 15 minutes by car from the house. You can park on the street a short walk from the house. For me it is a fantastic place to relax and to visit the surroundings, hiking or trekking and the hosts are keen to have a great stay by providing everything you need. We loved the terrace and the family of kittens that practically live in the building opposite. Good value for money in general.

We are still in awe! The place! The atmosphere there! The hosts! We would like to especially thank Gino & Teresa for being sooo welcoming and helpful and helping us have the real authentic Abruzzo experience! They gave us everything we needed for the baby. The place was totally private and only for us, could enjoy being by the pool and enjoy the view to the max. The house is also absolutely beautiful! So simplistic yet well equipped and spotlessly clean! Only felt that a console table of some sort was a bit missing from the entry (to put our keys and small bags and stuff), and also a small table by the pool would have been really handy 😄 Otherwise, really, everything was spot on perfect! It’s like a dream being there! And the outside kitchen area with real stone sink and barbecue area… fantastic! And ohh the donkeys! Our baby loved watching them ☺️ Definitely recommend the place & the hosts! Loved it!

Lea and Roland are fantastic hosts, very responsive and friendly. Quiet location, shared kitchen and garden with pool, great restaurants in the area. Very relaxing.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in Arpino at Wednesday! The cottage is so cozy and tastefully decorated, the view is priceless. We completely relaxed here and enjoyed it to the fullest! Arpino itself is also a nice charming village and everyone is friendly. Wednesday had good tips for the surroundings! We highly recommend it! :-)

The property is in the central area of Villetta Barrea. The mini apartments are very nice and typical....comfortable mattresses, large and clean bathroom. Manuela was very nice and professional.

Short stay in a beautiful and peaceful village in Abruzzo. The house contains everything you need and the garden with pool is very well laid out. The owners are lovely people who also own a restaurant in the center, which we recommend you try.

Nice accommodation with all necessary facilities, a big garden and a magnificent pool. Located in a quiet area with superb views on the surrounding mountains. We truly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it.

Vittorio's place was amazing. The area is even more beautiful than in the pictures, and it really does feel away from it all. The house was very comfortable—Vittorio thought of everything in equipping the house, way beyond the listed amenities. Also, he took care to clean the pool every single morning, and did that super early: we were waking up pretty early ourselves, and we still never saw him do it. As a host, Vittorio was an active communicator and went out of his way to make sure our stay was easy and comfortable. For example, he personally guided us to the house from town, which was not necessary (we found it pretty easy to get around Agnone) but still very helpful. Also, for our kids, this place was a real winner. They didn't want to leave! They had a pool to themselves, got to visit horses everyday, watched fireflies at night, and just had a fun time outside. It was wonderful!

It is a somewhat dated apartment in a very quiet vacation complex. The location is strategic because in a few minutes you can reach the center (with a very safe cycle pedestrian road) but also leave for various excursions or for skiing. The house is comfortable and very clean with everything you need. I was impressed by the kitchen very well stocked with all the utensils, which is not obvious. The bathroom is also clean and functional. The heating works perfectly and the hot water also gave us no problems despite having 7 showers in a row. Last is the spectacular view from the balcony. Highly recommended!

We had a great time! The nature is stunning and the apartment is great for good weather days and also for more cozy rainy days. We would definitely recommend a stay!

One of my best AirBNB experiences, I slept really well in this lovely apartment. The exterior of the building was quaint and had character but the insides were modern, recently renovated and tastefully decorated. Fontecchio is a small but really charming little village and a great base to explore this corner of Abruzzo. The only thing is that public transport is extremely limited in this kind of rural area so you will have to rent a car if you are thinking of staying in Fontecchio. But otherwise, I rarely give out such great reviews on AirBNB - this is definitely an excellent choice, I truly recommend this place based on my great experience. Every time we encountered a minor issue, Fabrizio and Todd looked into it and took care of it at once, you can't ask for more. Thanks so much for a great holiday.

It was a pleasure to stay here. The place is lovely, clean, well-stocked, and has thoughtful touches all around. The hosts too are very generous and kind. We would give Blue Owl more than 5 if that was possible.

Leila was very helpful and we enjoyed staying at her place. We had wet weather so the fireplace was wonderful for drying out and staying warm! The accommodation worked well for our family of two adults and one child; there was a bunk bed so it would also work for a larger family. Pesscaseroli was a convenient base for exploring the area. "Three fairy-tale days" Warm and cozy apartment, wood creates a lot of atmosphere. Spacious and comfortable rooms. The owner Lucilla was available to meet our every request. All amplified by the fact that it is just a few minutes from the ski fields. Highly recommended!!!

The reception was good, Carmine uses fine tools to communicate pleasantly if you do not speak the same language. The space and surroundings are beautiful.
