Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Reading

The property was perfect for what we needed for visiting friends in the area. Plenty of room for families with children. Unfortunately through no fault of Lyam’s the combi boiler decided to not give us hot water after one shower but Lyam organised British Gas to come out and this was fixed within hours of letting Lyam know and it didn’t effect any of our 6 day stay. Excellent communication and speedy to resolve issues. The residential street was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed our stay.

I was here for a stag do with 7 friends and we had a great time. There was lots to do at the house to keep us entertained (pool, table tennis, football etc), and the location was perfect as it was only a short walk into Reading town centre. The host was also great at getting back to me. Every message received a reply within the hour - thank you! I would 100% recommend to friends.

The house is well appointed and spacious. We liked the open plan ground floor with large kitchen and sitting room. Unfortunately, it is located near a local hospital which resulted in frequent noise from sirens. It would also have been nice to have had access to some outdoor furniture.

Suited us so perfectly we ended up extending our stay. Christina has been an excellent host - helpful, always very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended.

We had a very enjoyable 6 week stay at Pauls house. As a family of four with two children we made good use of the garden. Clean and tidy throughout, 2 comfy double beds, plenty of space, work station, easy access to M4, driveway parking, fully equipped kitchen, good park and fish 'n chip shop nearby.

This was a truly fantastic stay. Freya is a responsive host. This place is absolutely perfect for us. It is equipped with everything you may need. This place is very quiet, which is very suitable for my daughter to study for the exam during the half-term break. Highly recommended to everyone!

Have stayed in several of Elliot's properties in Henley and all have been very satisfactory. A few minutes walk to the train station and beautiful surroundings. Fully kitchen and all amenities, house is quite and spotless, great stay every time.

Clean and well looked after flat in central Reading. Very comfortable beds and modern kitchen with all amenities.

Perfect location on the edge of town but within a 20 min walking distance. Lots of great walks from the doorstep. Local convenience store across the road as well as a decent pizza place and Chinese takeaway which did not disappoint.

Proactive host, location suited our needs and everything was as described. Would stay with Benedetta again.

We have spent a whole month in the apartment and it was amazing! The building is located very close to the city centre but far enough to be quiet and sweet. Apartment is well equipped and has a perfect city view. Steven was a very helpful host and even came to help when we had an issue with automatic blinders. Note - there is no actual dedicated working place, only the dining table.

This was a very late last minute booking and whilst the initial registering process (photo of driving licence) was unexpected, the process was quite smooth and very quick Shout out to Louise who actually called me up when I was having difficulty getting into the property (my own fault). She was very helpful and proactive I will certainly be staying here again.

Excellent communication from Mira and any queries were answered promptly. The apartment was in a beautiful location with the bedrooms overlooking the old university buildings and gardens. The main room was beautiful and spacious (we loved the large floor to ceiling sliding sash windows - with secondary glazing which completely obliterated the noise from the main road outside). The two bedrooms were spacious and had plenty of storage. The bathroom was very spacious and we appreciated the generous supply of toilet paper. We also appreciated having a free, allocated parking place and there were two Tesco Extra within easy walking distance. It was very clean and well equipped - the only things that could be improved would be providing two pillows per person, rather than just one each, and an extra two dining room chairs, as there were only four (for six people) and the table could easily accommodate six chairs! Would definitely recommend!

My friend and I stayed at Ruth’s apartment for a catch up weekend. We absolutely loved the location - close to the river, with a great selection of lovely pubs / cafes and restaurants and easy access to loads of local walks. The apartment itself is very nicely done and has everything you could want. There was one allocated parking space that my friend used, and I easily found parking very close by. I highly recommend this wonderful pad! :)

Excellent place for 2 nights nearby my English relatives. Lovely flat with everything we needed. Hosts are excellent with instructions and communication. Highly recommend!

Me and 3 others stayed here for two nights and used as a base for nirvana spa (5min drive away) was great location for that reason, Lucy was quick with responses and was kind to allow a later check out and also an extra car. The place is spotless and has everything you need. Would recommend

Susan is lovely and communicates very quickly, she met me on my first night and showed me around the apartment. She even left some snacks and some milk in the fridge for me which was a nice touch The apartment is immaculate, nicely furnished, very clean and well looked after, it felt very homely. Also something good to know is the entrance is completely separate to the rest of the house, which may not be obvious from the photos. The parking space on the drive is spacious, I was able to fit my van on there. I would happily stay here again.

Lieber Peter, vielen Dank für einen phantastischen Aufenthalt. Gern wären wir noch geblieben. Wir könnten den ganzen Tag in der Wohnung bleiben und den Wassersportlern und Wasservögeln zusehen. Nur hat auch die Umgebung soviel zu bieten, dass man gar nicht alles schaffen kann. Vieles ist dank eines sehr guten Netzes öffentlicher Verkehrsmittel sogar ohne Auto erreichbar. Die Bushaltestellen befinden sich direkt vor der Brücke zur Insel. Pubs und Restaurants erreicht man in 15 Minuten zu Fuß. Die FeWo enthält alles, was man für einen tollen Urlaub benötigt. Wir blieben eine komplette Woche und es hat uns nichts gefehlt. Bilder und Anzeige stimmen exakt mit dem Original überein. Peter ist sehr hilfsbereit und antwortet zügig auf alle Anfragen. Vor Ort stellt er viel Informationsmaterial zum Objekt und zur Umgebung zur Verfügung. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Loved my stay in this beautiful apartment on first floor of a secure building. Very central for exploring the town. Plenty of cafes and restaurants along with independent shops and beautiful scenery. Everything in the apartment was as described and better. Beds, bedding and towels were top quality. Bedrooms are spacious. Great to sit at the window overlooking the square. Left our car in allotted car parking space during our few days stay. So easy to walk everywhere. Sian was a great host and we knew we could contact her if need be. All instructions were very clear and local recommendations helpful. We would highly recommend Sian’s place. We would definitely return if in this area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the apartment that had everything you could possibly need for your stay. Excellent location for everything including Windsor Castle, shops, bars, restaurants, all within short walking distance. The long walk is literally at the end of the street. Jonathan was extremely helpful with recommendations and practical suggestions. If we were to visit again this apartment would definitely be the place we would book.
