Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located basement apartment. The Central States Fairground, The Monument Civic Center, downtown Rapid City, and Rushmore Crossing are all within a 10 minute drive. We do have full-time tenants on the property with dogs. Some noise should be expected. The pets have their own dedicated space and contact with the pets should be minimal, if at all. We have one security camera located outside the entrance to the apartment.

We had a great stay at The Roots on Evergreen. Everything was perfect! The location was ideal for us as we visited both national and state parks in the area. After spending the days sightseeing, it was so nice to return to the apartment and relax. It more than met our needs. It was beautifully decorated and super clean. If ever in the area again, we would not hesitate to stay!

This house felt like a home…many thoughtful extras! Most appreciated was the large garage big enough for our Jeep Wagoneer rental car…Location was as advertised-40 minutes to Mt Rushmore! Well stocked kitchen, extremely comfy furniture and beds…mattress in our room had remote control to raise top of bed for reading and adjustable foot of mattress as well…So nice! Linens, especially towels, were 5-star quality! Plenty of fresh clean towels … a stark contrast to other places we’ve stayed! Wifi and TVs were fantastic and provided access to apps. Bathrooms were very clean and having a full bath on each floor was perfect for us. Marnie provided accurate information and first class hospitality…Highly recommend for a wonderful stay 😀

The house was gorgeous. It had amazing views and is a beautifully designed mountain guesthouse chalet. The hot tub was phenomenal and completely private, with a hill and trees surrounding it - we really enjoyed using it every night! The bed was extraordinarily comfortable- so much so, that my husband and I looked at the mattress tag to see what brand it was so we could consider getting it when we buy our next mattress Lol! Looks like a Denver mattress, possibly a Doctors Choice variety. The kitchen was large and the living room was spacious and comfortable. The hosts were responsive and super friendly when we communicated with them. The views of the city and surrounding areas from the house were pretty spectacular. Highly recommend this house! We felt like we had the best place to stay in Rapid City.

Kaitlyn’s place was very clean and such a cute space. I hear there tends to be crime in Rapid City and this is on a safe spot of town free from foot traffic which was assuring. Of course it’s a basement apartment but most times I couldn’t even tell. It felt very reasonably priced. She had a binder for local recommendations that helped narrow our options. She was responsive when I needed another towel. Overall great stay.
