We historically been resort people in Mexico. Took a chance on an Airbnb and let me tell you - NO REGRETS. Do it now! Great value, amazing restaurants to walk to, safe and there is a great roof top pool with cash bar. You’ll have the resort experience with a much better value. Thank you to our host.

Our stay at Rudolph’s apartment was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, Rudolph and his team were incredibly attentive—checking in to make sure everything was just right and offering great local tips that made our trip even better. The apartment was immaculate and stayed that way throughout our stay, thanks to how well-maintained everything is. The location was ideal—close enough to the heart of Playa del Carmen but tucked in a peaceful, charming neighborhood just a 10-minute walk from a gorgeous beach with a small cenote. We felt completely safe and loved the area’s authentic local vibe. Inside, the bed was super comfortable, and the terrace was a dream for stargazing at night. The Wi-Fi was strong and reliable—great for both work and streaming. The building’s amenities were a huge plus: the gym, rooftop pool, patio, and coworking space were all fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the entire space was clean and well-equipped. We couldn’t have asked for

Highly recommended accommodation, clearly staying in Playacar is the best, since the center of Playa del Carmen is quite ugly at night. The apartment was fine in general, some details that should be taken care of are just due to wear and tear (the air sometimes dripped water) and that the bar chairs could only be used in the lowest position, making it impossible to eat at it. Everything else is ok. The complex is super comfortable, the pool is spectacular, and Andi takes you everywhere within Playacar with the golf cart when necessary. If you walk to the center, it's a 10/15 min walk. Thanks for hosting us, we look forward to returning for the 3rd time soon!

Your hospitality made our trip even more special. The villa was beautiful, and we had such a great time staying there. The people in the neighborhood near Calle 38 Ave were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Wow, BOOK it now! We loved our Spring Break retreat here. The sprawling house is amazing. It was perfect for our 2 families (9 ppl - 4 adults, 5 teen or preteens). We had enough room to spread out but all connect in the amazing spots throughout the property. The house setup gives lots of flexibility to accommodate variety of guests. The porch is awesome. The pool and waterfall are relaxing. The cenote is truly uniques. The support team (Ruth - housekeeper and Rafael - handyman, grounds) are a superb extra perk. We coordinated for a bfast and dinner by Ruth and perfecto. They treat the property and guests with real caring. The location is convenient for all types of activities. We couldn't have asked for more and highly recommend.

If you are looking for a comfortable and peaceful stay, this is a place for you! The house is located at the end of a quiet street in a beautiful neighborhood. It has easy access to the Playa Car beach which is usually less crowded than other beaches in Playa. The host provided chairs, umbrella and beach towels, making beach trips even more pleasent. Communication with the host was absolutely perfect, she even came to meet us, which we appreciated very much. The house has a great collection of books, from Mayan culture and wildlife to mystery novels to read when relaxing by the pool. Overall, this was a perfect vacation. Our stay at Casa Jaybird was amazing. We spent a month here and could have easily stayed longer. The location really can't be beat - a super quiet street right off 5th Avenue and walking distance to the beach. But for being so close to all the action, the home felt so private when you were inside. Elizabeth was always responsive and quick to answer our questions, and Samuel was always so kind and happy to help with anything around the house. We have young children so we had white noise machines in all the bedrooms, so we didn't have any concerns with the noise as some reviews mention. There was some construction nearby during the day but truly nothing that really bothered us. We'll be back!

We had an absolutely AMAZING stay! This was the perfect spot for a family vacation — we had 6 adults and one baby, and the house fit us all so comfortably. It was quiet, peaceful, and just steps from the beach. Honestly, it couldn’t have been better. Bruno, the property manager, went above and beyond for us — helping arrange airport transportation, grocery delivery, and making sure we had everything we needed. He made the whole trip so smooth and easy. The house itself is gorgeous. The kitchen was a dream to cook in, the bedrooms were spacious and thoughtfully laid out to give everyone privacy, and the common spaces were perfect for hanging out together. We were able to walk to most places, but getting in and out of the development can be a bit of a hike, so taxis definitely came in handy. This was one of our best Airbnb experiences ever. 100/10 — we will definitely be back! Couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Mariposa. The house was clean and well maintained, and the location was perfect, close to the beach and downtown Playa. What really stood out was the excellent service. Jasmin and Edson were responsive and accommodating prior to our arrival, and the concierge (Mauricio) was especially helpful during our stay—always available to assist with anything we needed. We would absolutely stay here again, and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Playa. Thanks again to Mauricio and the staff for making our trip truly enjoyable.

The house is large and each room with en suite bathroom. Well maintained property with everything working and in great condition. Very private pool/outdoor area that feels like you are in your own oasis. But then just 3 minutes walk on a private path and you are in a gorgeous beach with plenty of space to chill an enjoys the ocean. the house is great but Alma, the property manager, made the trip. She kept the house spotless, made us breakfast every day ( and real Mexican style breakfast and cut fruit for us). We just had to go to the grocery store to bring supplies and she prepared everything fresh every morning. Everything was setup for us to enjoy every day. She makes it feel like you are staying at a 5 star resort having everything tended to. Playa Car it’s own own separate area with great security… everyone inside has to have a bracelet to get in it be a guest. Cuts on the number of people and crowds… but the house ilia just a short walk to the shops and restaurants. SAFE

It was a very pleasant and satisfying experience, the level of attention and service was very pleasant, just as a suggestion to change the pans and pillows that are more rigid and evaluate the possibility of allowing check-out at 12 noon to be able to take more advantage of the afternoon. We thank everyone who provided us with the attention and service

I absolutely loved this condo and the location! The gym and rooftop pool are an amazing feature. It’s steps away from the quiet end of 5th ave and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The grocery store is nearby. Starbucks is a 2 minute walk for morning coffee. The condo is beautiful and I liked the extras (such as shampoo and conditioner provided). I loved it so much…. I stayed an extra day which Ronn facilitated promptly. He was kind and offered assistance but his instructions were so clear that we didn’t even need to ask him anything. Thanks for a wonderful stay in your beautiful condo! I will absolutely book with you again!!

The apartment was great. Had everything you need for the stay. Wifi was great also. Had no problems. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need. Great location, so close to the beach and private beach entrance. They even had all the things you need for the beach like chairs and umbrellas. Would go back 100%

Would definitely come back!!! Fantastic host - kind, informative & wonderfully hospitality. We loved this beautiful place & options on site for private cenote, Mayan ruins, and short walk to the beach. Perfect in case we didn't get out to explore. I chose Playa del Carmen because it's half way between Cancun & Tulum yet fairly easy to get to the airport. We went to Edin cenote which was fun, refreshing & close by, in Tulum we enjoyed a completely different vibe, and ran out of time to snorkel in Akumal. The 3 seperate bedrooms are each spaced well for privacy. There was a very nice oven/stove to cook meals on which we did 50% of the time and we really enjoyed the variety of restaurants with great service nearby. Our favorite breakfast was at Lara & Luca. Unexpected: The Mall in walking distance, super friendly people, and how much we loved seeing wildlife by the pool: spider monkeys, caoti, and iguanas in the trees with turtles and agouti on land. Maria is a wonderful host and her condo is very comfortable and clean. The bakery across the street was delicious and we also enjoyed the Italian restaurant. Otherwise we walked about 15 min to the tourist area which had so many choices for food! We also walked to Sams Club (taxi back) for food cooked at the Air bnb. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The pool was very nice and lying in a hammock in the pool heavenly! Highly recommend!

Great place! Wasn't sure what i was getting into when we first pulled up as we'd never been to PDC before. Turns out we were 5 easy blocks from the beach and 5th Avenue which is where all the action is for tourist food and festivities. The place is also surrounded by 'local' food and fare as well - El Fogon is 2 blocks away, Walmart is 2 blocks away, many local tiendas from right downstairs to blocks away. Very clean - A/C's were working - had an issue with a drawer (at 7am) and Allen had it fixed within an hour. The balcony got great AM sun - i spent most of my time while there on the balcony just because we came from the North and i desired heat. But ... this place is not for those seeking solitude and silence, though. It's very loud with street noise. The tour busses start coming by at 7am and don't stop until about 9pm. All day. Everyday. But if you stayed closer to 5th Avenue you'd have to deal with the club music so it's a toss up. We had a blast and loved all of it!
