Peters Cove Studio Cabin

MillicentRating, 5 stars6 days ago
We had the most peaceful & gorgeous stay here—the cabin is cozy and beautifully decorated, right on the edge of the burbling Peters Brook (which has a great trail to follow to a little waterfall in the woods!). The beach is just across the street with a great view of the harbor, but the house is tucked in off the road and felt very private. Only a couple minutes from town and not far from Acadia if you're hoping to see the sights. It was chilly during our stay, but there's a wood stove and space heaters which kept us cozy; be warned that it's a cabin in rural Maine if you're not used to creepy crawlies etc. Lucie was a wonderful host, super friendly and lovely to chat with!
A serene sunset over Schoodic Lake is captured through the silhouettes of trees. The sky displays warm hues of orange and pink, reflecting on the calm water surface, creating a peaceful scene. The horizon fades into a darker shade, enhancing the tranquility of the lake.

A Little Piece of Heaven

RachelRating, 5 stars8 months ago
I absolutely loved this place! Very easy to find, great location on the lake and very peaceful! Leon has boats, kayaks and canoes to rent, firewood to purchase on site and was so helpful with everything. The home has everything I needed for my week stay, and was grateful to be able to bring my dog. I will definitely be returning to this little piece of heaven!!

The Shackteau

GwendolynRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This is a perfect little rustic gem, and actually quite spacious, and the little back deck facing the lupine field wonderful. Minimal traffic on the road, and the walk to the bathroom is an easy 100 feet. Casual and not precious. Perfect for us Mainers on a work trip up to nearby Acadia. Highly suggested.
A charming boathouse is shown alongside a serene body of water, framed by lush greenery. The side yard offers easy kayak or canoe access, while a front porch provides a view of the tranquil surroundings.

This is truly a gem of an Airbnb. John is an excellent host, being communicative and very helpful throughout the stay. The property is private, serene and well maintained both inside and out. He even helped me acquire some fresh lobsters to cook while we were there! A really special stay, I will definitely be back.

Main Cabin at Coveside on Islesboro

KathleenRating, 5 stars9 months ago
This is the perfect Maine cottage experience. Easy to enter cove water for a swim. Cannot beat the view/sunsets. Sitting on front porch is the best. Very well stocked kitchen. Would stay again! Be aware there is no WiFi connectivity if you need that and one of us needed that for a work emergency so found public access. Us old folks found the lock box remote entry confusing. There was a small boat house close by and although visually blocked by trees could hear people talking on porch one night. Very little toilet paper supplied which based on how well everything else was likely an oversight but forced a quick trip to the Island market before it closed.

Hands down one of the best places I have ever been. Linda and Jay were so warm and welcoming. Homemade cookies, breakfast items, tea, coffee and snacks. Everything we could ever need. The home is beautifully decorated and immaculate! Linda and Jay were very proactive and thoughtful! They even left information books about the area, gave us some recommendations and answered all our questions. I wish we could have stayed longer! It was truly magical!

Modern forest getaway with patio and grill

KevinRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Chris’s place was beautiful and spotless. Had everything you could possibly need while being away from home. Anything I needed was right already provided, along with snacks for hikes and pancake mix that we used for breakfast on our final day before leaving. From the beautiful bathroom with the shower AND the tub, to the high ceilings in the kitchen/living room, the art that is all around the home, games, entertainment, etc. this place is absolutely perfect and we can’t wait to make our next trip to Maine to stay here again! Thank you so much for hosting us, Chris!

The house is perfect for a short stay near Acadia; it was immaculate and the view from bed in the morning is beautiful. The vintage-looking mini fridge is one of several nice touches. There is no stove, but there’s a microwave and an air fryer. Carla is an extremely gracious and accommodating host. I’d stay again in a heartbeat!

Bright & sunny studio near Camden, Belfast

AlexusRating, 5 stars7 months ago
Extremely nice BnB for staying in the area with a relatively cheap budget for lodging. Only an hour and a half away from Bar Harbor/Acadia, 30 minutes from Camden, and multiple other cuter small towns around the area with plenty to do, hike, bike, etc. I loved that they gave recommendations of their own favorite places around the area! Very detailed check-in, check-out, and directions which were greatly appreciated! Overall, our stay here was a 10/10 (except when we accidentally broke something - but they were super understanding❤️) and we would love to stay here again!

This is a little slice of paradise. I came here to do nothing, essentially--read & swim for a few days in beautiful, quiet surroundings. Diane was immediately welcoming with a warm greeting and quick tour. You have privacy here, but if you need anything, she is right next door. I couldn't recommend staying here more highly! Thanks, Diane! Andrew

Cozy Little Carriage House *Spectacular Sunsets*

CollinRating, 5 stars8 months ago
My wife and I stayed here with our 5-month-old (not walking/crawling yet) for our first family road trip (which can be stressful) and Tara & Wallace made it a wonderful stay. It's a perfect spot on the peninsula to explore all the great restaurants, hikes, shops, etc between Blue Hill, Brooksville (Tinderhearth) Stonington, and Brooklin, which is exactly what we came for. The place was super comfortable, the sunsets were as described and the stars were fantastic. The host's responsiveness was especially helpful when I accidentally locked us out of the unit with a crying baby in the car! Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay at Bria’s place. It was the perfect size for 2 people, and had all sorts of extra toiletries available in case we forgot anything. We appreciated having a washer and dryer with detergent available. The bed and linens were very comfortable, and the room darkening shades were great. Parking and accessing the unit was simple and easy.

Aimee and David's place is new and beautifully done. We enjoyed meeting them both. Loved the place: The view, ease of access (once you find it the first time!), cleanliness, and the general layout. The kitchen has everything you need and there's plenty of storage available in the rooms and bathrooms. The bedrooms and bathrooms are identical so there was no discussion as to who gets the better view, etc.! Everything from the layout to the conveniences is well thought out. I loved having my morning coffee on the deck overlooking the Taunton bay. Thank you Aimee and David. I hope to go there again.

Cozy Bungalow

MichaelRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This place is awesome! Great access and views of the lake, dock, trail. Perfect for 2. Room for 6. We grilled out all but one night. No stove or oven in kitchen other than a microwave, but we found that to be no problem whatsoever. Did breakfast on the convection burners made available. Great fire pit, with wood available. Not knowing, we brought some along. Easy access to groceries as well, as Hannaford is close by. We would DEFINITELY stay here again! Our hosts were delightful. We day tripped to Monroe Falls, Fort Knox, Observatory on Penobscot Bridge, Belfast and several Breweries…… Orono, Bryant’s, Gordon’s Grog, Two Feet, Sea Dog. We even tried FRESH PICKED “Fiddle Heads” for the first time! I just wrapped them in aluminum foil with a little butter and threw them on the grill with our chicken and they were perfectly done and to me, tasted a little bit like asparagus. All in all, I feel most anyone would enjoy time spent at the “Hawes” AIRBNB here on Lake Sebasticook! 😁
