Open plan getaway set in 25 acres of woodland

RuaniRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We stayed at Paul’s lovely property for the second time as we loved it so much the first time round. Our recent stay was made even better by the addition of a hot tub , the ping pong table and loads of board games and activities. The bedrooms were clean and comfy like before and we loved the living and dining space. Our 3 kids had an amazing time running around in the garden and going for little walks around the grounds. The welcome basket was a lovely surprise and we loved having freshly popped popcorn for our movie evenings at the house! The property is close to Millets Farm Centre which was great for the kids as there’s always a lot to do there!

The hosts were friendly, responsive, and made everything really easy. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches and clear instructions. We genuinely left feeling refreshed and would definitely love to come back. Highly recommend!

My stay at the Shooting Lodge was just what I needed for a peaceful, stress free getaway. Beautiful location, fantastic hosts and my pup Jessie loved her stay too. Would highly recommend for any of those career women out there who just need a weekend of peace and tranquility. The lodge was better than described, high quality and a home from home. The location is wonderful with lots of nice walks. I would definitely stay again alone or with friends. Thank you Anthony & Julia for a wonderful stay.

Olive Cottage by Group Retreats - Cosy Cotswold

We stayed for a long weekend as a group of friends and couples. This place was ideal for us to have time to relax, be together and enjoy day outs. We had the chef dine in experience and this was great. It meant we could all enjoy a meal together without worrying about the cooking or washing up. Overall, a great stay and ideal for our group.

Thank you Abi and family for sharing your wonderful farm with us for the weekend.

Idyllic thatched cottage on edge of the Cotswolds

SarahRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I don’t know that I’ve ever been happier at an Airbnb. My mother and I enjoyed every second at the cottage. Its idyllic location, cottage charm, and beautiful gardens were exactly what we were looking for. I will gladly trade the lack of a long hot shower for everything else the cottage brought to the table. Jane and William were gracious and helpful hosts with loads of information and recommendations which were all top notch. I hope I get to visit again sometime.

Cosy 2 bedroom cottage in West Hanney village

Had a great stay here and everything was perfect. We managed to try the only local pub and the food and beer was excellent and value for money. The Indian restaurant was better than and from my local area in Stockport. The location is great for Oxford and we did a day trip to the Diddly Squat Farm. Tracey is a great host and we would definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Cottage c1790, Superb central Witney, free parking

TrevorRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This cottage was perfect for our needs. It is situated in a quiet mews just off a road but we couldn't hear any traffic. It was only a five minute walk into the town centre, which had plenty of pubs and restaurants. There was a very large TV in the lounge although we barely used it. The kitchen looked fine, although we barely used that either. Witney is a lovely town to explore Oxford and the surrounding countryside.

Herrieffs Cottage

NicolaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
It was a lovely stay at a beautiful cottage. The cottage was everything we hoped for a little two day get away. We spent time on local walking footpaths and getting to know the local pubs. Our recommendations are; The Falcon, Ye Olde Reine Deer Inn and The Blinking Owl over the road. The owners of the Blinking Owl were lovely hosts, really traditional English pub and great food from Sylvia! We spent our New Years Eve there and it was a lovely evening. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. Mary was super helpful and responsive on the run up to the stay. We hope to visit again soon.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful cottage. Tracy was a fantastic host, with extremely helpful instructions, local recommendations and even left us a welcome hamper to make us feel even more at home. 3 good sized bedrooms for a group of 6, a very nice cottage in a beautiful location in the Cotswolds. Would definitely recommend and was great value for money! Very much enjoyed our stay!

Old English Cottage in Chipping Warden

JanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Granary is a lovely thatched cottage tucked away in a peaceful spot on a no through lane in the old part of the village. The property ticked all my boxes for a peaceful and comfortable stay when visiting family living close by. The gated driveway parking directly adjacent to the property makes easy work of unloading/loading on arrival/departure. There are lovely mature garden surrounds to the property offering a good degree of privacy, although not fully enclosed if you have young children or pets. With two dogs in tow it was an added bonus to have lovely countryside walks directly from the door over the adjacent Edgecote Estate. Michael the host’s communication and directions for accessing the property were excellent throughout. Thoroughly recommend.

Boutique Cotswold self-contained cottage

JeanRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My cousin & I loved the area & would come back. So many beautiful villages & close to Oxford, delightful scenery. We'd like to do more walks next time. There is a lovely meafow & brook walk just to the right behind the cottage. Luv, luv. Even all our wrong turns were an adventure, we didn't know what we'd see next. The cottage was just as described & perfect for us as we like our own time in the evenings & could retire to our separate rooms. If you have 2 couples who want to lounge together in front of the TV, maybe this won't suit, but there's plenty of room in the kitchen to share a drink or a meal & there is a small lounge. Make sure you've got sat nav :-).

Secluded Cotswold Hideaway

AmyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
A beautiful, peaceful spot! The cottage is next to the house but because of how it faces, it feels really private for both. A lot of thought has gone into this place and it shows. Paul was warm & welcoming, we couldn't resist buying some of his wonderful honey. The mezzanine is huge, the photos don't do it justice! The kitchen is tiny but well stocked. I've lit plenty of wood burners before but Paul's tips still taught me something new, & I got a strong fire going with just 1 match and no firelighters. The downstairs bedroom and ensuite were perfect for my partner's elderly mum who has reduced mobility, and though she could manage the low sofa, she was happy in the armchair. Visiting from Italy, this was her first experience of the English countryside and she absolutely loved it! The meadow was perfect for a wander in the sunshine, & the views from the big windows were gorgeous. The Cotswolds isn't cheap, but this place was worth it for such a special trip!

Cosy Cotswold Cottage

KittyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Our group came from Manchester and spent just one night here. The cottage was definitely a change of scenery comparing to the busy Manchester city living style. The cottage is situated in a secluded area where there are ample walking trails for people who love nature. Julie, our host’s mom, was very accommodating and she was very friendly in explaining and introducing the cottage to us. The cottage definitely meets our expectations as a place to spend a quiet night for our group cooking our own dinner and spent a night chit-chatting.
