Vacation rentals with lake access in Oxford

We had a very enjoyable stay with the family for a major birthday celebration. The accommodation and location are really lovely. The kayaks with life jackets were available. We had a few minor cleanliness issues which couldn't be resolved during our stay but we did receive modest compensation. One observation; the ladder style steps up to the mezzanine are very steep and not suitable for young children on their own and the beds up there are too small for fully grown adults or tall teenagers!. This is not addressed in the spec of the accommodation. We ate at a local restaurant, The Crown at Ampney Brook. Food and service exemplary.

We were hosted by Rebecca from 20th-23 June. The house was beautiful, well equipped and spotless. Really nice outside area to sit in the sun and admire the picturesque views of the lake. The dogs enjoyed walks around the lakes twice a day and it was a much needed break for us. My husband caught some colourful carp and tench. We would love to stay again and would recommend to others. Excellent stay! Beautiful property with a cute garden. We felt right at home, and it had plenty of space for our family of five. The snug served as a bedroom to my oldest, but, with a sizable kitchen and dining space plus the garden, we didn’t need it for anything else. The kitchen was well-stocked, and Sarah had some treats waiting for us. She was warm, welcoming, very responsive, and always on-hand to assist in a multitude of ways. She allowed my three kids to play in her garden as well as our own, as they were full of energy after the drive into town. The location can’t be beat. There is a large Co-op grocery store across the street, and the river and restaurants are just down the road.

Lovely light house in a great lakeside location. There is a good sized gas BBQ on the terrace which was perfect for feeding our large family gathering. There was one minor issue which the owners resolved rapidly. We would definitely stay again.

A really lovely stay in South Cerney - the place was perfect, clean and comfy, with everything we needed/wanted including a BBQ and games, and in a beautiful setting and with lots to do on the doorstep. Highly recommend.

A well appointed and clean house. Lots to do; board games, tennis, kayaking, jacuzzii, barbecue, music, tv,… we were a family of 5 adults and had a lovely time.

Mark is a very kind and attentive host, great communication. I would love to go back again. Highly recommend to any one wants to have a chill holiday by the lake. Lots to do !! :)

A very nice flat located on the main road (Abingdon) toward Oxford city center. About a 25-30 walk. The flat itself is good for one or two people. Upstairs sitting area/living room gets terrific sunlight and a great breeze. Pretty convenient Tesco Expresses just north and just south of the flat. Quiet neighborhood. Pretty park right next door.

A cosy contained flat sitting about an absolutely stunning valley, overlooking a wood beyond. Holly's flat was absolutely perfect for what I wanted - an away from it all, peaceful location where I could study and write. I love nature and I was surrounded by deer, incredible birdsong, red kites, pheasants and so much more. I was lucky to be here for the bluebells and also the golden fields of rapeseed. Ideal location for anyone who likes hill walking, hiking and / or is doing the Cotswold Way. It takes less than 10 mins to drive into Cheltenham, but this place is truly an oasis of calm and serenity. A 6-min drive to the nearest large supermarket, so that was handy. The furniture etc might be a tad dated but, honestly, the price reflects that fact and, frankly, I loved that this wasn't a show home, but rather a well-loved country place. Holly was wonderful to interact with. I recommend this flat in the heart of the Cotswolds. The bed is super comfy too!

Really cosy, comfortable lovely barn, set amongst picturesque lakes and commutable to lots of gorgeous towns.

We stayed at Frank’s place for the Henley Women’s Regatta which was within a 20 minute drive. Easy access to London too. Frank was very friendly and welcoming, would stay here again!, and recommend it to anyone!

Lovely stay at Willow Warbler. The estate is beautiful & maintained to a high standard. Very peaceful. The apartment had everything we needed including extra touches like milk, travel cot, washing machine & dishwasher tablets, plenty of cooking equipment, tea bags, oil for cooking etc. There is a nice restaurant & pool on site. We didn’t use the gym as the opening hours weren’t early enough (10-5 so we were out for the day). We travelled with a 9 month old but there looked to be lots of things for older children such as soft play, water sports & play ground. Lots of bird watching to be done. Jane was very good at communicating with us & checking everything was ok. We used the apartment as a base to go out for the day such as to Oxford & Bourton but the apartment is very comfortable if you prefer chilling. Would recommend if you are looking for a quiet relaxed break.

I have absolutely loved my staying here, it was just a perfect weekend. In the middle of peaceful nature, a super clean, charming and cozy mansion which made us love our time in the Cotswolds. It has everything you need to spend both short and long stays here. Perfect instructions to reach the place too. Excellent value for money too. Definitely recommended to families or two couples of friends.

We had a wonderful stay in the cottage- it’s beautiful, homely and well catered and stocked. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and really try to ensure you have a great time there. The surroundings are brilliant and really worked for our multigenerational weekend get away- there was something for everyone. We will definitely come back. Unfortunately I was unable personally to stay at Rita's accommodation because of a sudden medical problem, but she was more than accommodating in letting me bless some friends at the last minute with a few days vacation. They really enjoyed their stay and said the welcome was amazing. So once again thank you to the host for her understanding.

Jane always responded immediately and was so friendly and helpful. I cannot stress how beautiful the grounds are here and with freedom to explore them. The cottage is really well laid out with a fully equipped kitchen, and a large airy bedroom lounge area with desk. Perfect for a countryside getaway. Can’t wait to go back.

5 Stars – A Magical Cotswolds Getaway Our family had the absolute best time at Catherine’s beautiful property! From swimming in the pool to watching the friendly farm animals, every moment was unforgettable. The setting is peaceful, the accommodations were spotless and charming, and the entire experience felt like a dream. One of the highlights was chatting with Catherine and her husband about life, travel, and everything in between — they are warm, thoughtful, and genuinely lovely hosts. We left feeling refreshed, connected, and so grateful. Highly recommend this special spot to anyone looking for a magical escape in the Cotswolds.

Thank you for a wonderful Stay Linda. 13 of us has a reunion and enjoyed eating in the garden whilst the BBQ was going, absolutely delightful. That sunset view from the kitchen is epic. 100% recommend to anyone thinking of staying. Decent size kitchen to prep dinner and the rooms were beautiful. Thanks again Linda :)

The cottage was tastefully decorated and in a very peaceful area. Soft fluffy bath towels and luxurious bed linen. Ducklington is a very pretty village and it was easy to park right outside the cottage. Thank you Barry for all your help and communication. Would love to visit again.

Fantastic stay- idylic views perfect for a peaceful getaway. The house was well stocked with family friendly equipment, and features like the bbq were perfect for sunset evenings. We would definitely recommend our stay to any small group wanting quiet evenings and busy watersports days

Wish we could go back on a regular basis, as this was an amazing stay for our first time to the UK. Absolutely would recommend! Thank you for a lovely week!
