Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Outer Banks

We didn’t want to leave! The Albermarle Sound views don’t get any better than this! With the home’s back deck facing due North, both the sun rises and sunsets were completely visible and amazing! We loved opening the back door and listening to the lapping waves as we relaxed in the cozy chaise lounge and big leather couch. The open floor plan allows for water views throughout the entire main living space. The furniture is super comfy, and the decor is wonderfully eclectic! The kitchen was well stocked with every cooking utensil you need. The friendly neighborhood is very walkable. One word of caution: the front door opens to the master bathroom and bedroom. If vacationing here with anyone other than your significant other, you would want to make arrangements/have an understanding that the individuals staying in the 2nd bedroom would enter through the back door. We would definitely stay here again!

Home matched the description and photos. Just a brief walk to the beach. Nice around to walk our dog around as well. Coffee shop close by. The hot tub was a nice plus for our stay. Host provided clear/helpful directions.

We had a great stay at Michelle‘s house! It is even more beautiful than the pictures. She truly thought of everything. The neighborhood is peaceful and it is convenient to the beach and all that Kitty Hawk and Kill Devil Hill have to offer. The house was spotless, the beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, and the restaurant recommendations were spot on. The house is beautiful beautifully decorated, bright, and uncluttered, making for a peaceful stay. We will be back and hopefully next time we will be able to stay for more than two nights!

It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay in this great location steps from the beach and pier. Having access to bikes, hammock, beach chairs and beach towels was a great bonus. The outdoor shower was fun! Definitely hope to return. Tami was great, always quick to respond and everything was well detailed in the description and instructions.

Russ was a wonderful host and it was a pleasure staying at his place! The bed was comfortable, instructions and support were clean and quick. The area while drivers were crazy had some nice spots to check out and the beach wasn't far off either! If you are looking for a nice place to stay for the summer I highly recommend this Airbnb for you and your partner!

Great quiet space and ideal location right next to Jockey’s Ridge that’s walkable to the Sound, would definitely stay here again!

Maria's place was beautiful! Everything was so clean and neat. The kitchen has everything you need to enjoy a home cooked meal, if you feel like a change from eating out. The place is located very close to so many different fun activities like golf, hike, water parks, plenty of restaurants etc I would highly recommend Maria's place to anyone planning a trip to Nags Head, NC.

We cannot say enough great things about our stay! Believe all of the amazing reviews— there is definitely a reason Pat and Chuck have so many! Pat was extremely welcoming and began communicating prior to our stay. She was prompt and was waiting for us when we pulled in. Chuck was just as friendly and so easy to sit and have conversations with. They welcomed you in with open arms. The place was so clean and smelled wonderful! It may not be the biggest of spaces, but it was perfect for two and Pat literally thought of EVERYTHING you could need during your stay. Forgot your toothpaste? She’s got it. Forgot your sunscreen? She’s got it. Need a beach chair or extra towel? She’s got those too! Need a snack? There’s plenty and a couple drinks also! Looking for recommendations of things to do, places to eat, etc? She’s got folders with everything for you to look through. We cannot wait to visit again! Hands down the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. Thanks again Pat & Chuck!!

We had a great time at this place! Very accurate description and faithful to the pictures. Kitchen and bathroom in pristine conditions, clean linens and lots of gadgets to bring to the beach. Those bikes and the V shaped scooter was plus! I highly recommend it!

We had a great stay at Casa de Luz! It was a terrific home-base for our first OBX visit. We loved all of the thoughtful touches throughout the apartment. Lots of beach gear was provided, so we didn't have to buy our rent anything. Our kids loved the toys and games that Heather provided as well as the lovely park & playground across the street.

We enjoyed our stay and loved the area. The weather was not good, lots of clouds and rain which was unusual for this time of year, but we could still find plenty to do. Would love a couple of comfortable chairs added as we had to spend more time than planned inside watching tv. We would definitely stay here again.

A hidden gem! Very comfortable couch and bed, well equipped kitchenette, and perfect location! Earl was a very responsive host, we are definitely going to keep this place in our favorites list for future trips to the OBX!

We enjoyed our peaceful getaway at Gypsea’s! Wonderful location offering privacy in the home. The water quality was fantastic which is a nice surprise to find when traveling! The place was extremely clean, & the use of safe cleaning products sets it aside from the rest. The bathroom & bedroom were nicely cleaned. The location is phenomenal! Right in the hub of OBX. Great distance from the beach- walking or driving. Surrounded by great local restaurants which we thoroughly enjoyed exploring. The house has character & great vibes. Would recommend!

Dave's place is amazing! The listing is exactly as described, and was perfect for our family of 4. Communication with Dave was thorough and timely. The location is excellent, with a view of the ocean from the front porch. We loved the sliding door in the master bedroom that allowed us to walk right out onto the porch. It's so close to the beach! Less than a 1 min walk and you're on the sand! I've never stayed in a more well stocked Airbnb! Everything from extra linens to toiletries is provided! Beach supplies and all! We walked to dinner, or drove less than 10 mins to some great places. We already decided we want to book a longer trip next summer! It was fantastic!

Took a few days on my own to unwind and the condo fit the bill perfectly. Quiet and pretty surroundings just a short drive into town. It was nice coming back every afternoon after visiting the beaches and Manteo to this quiet spot.

Beautiful condo that is right on the water. The view from the balcony is worth staying at this condo. There is easy beach access and the condo is clean. It is the perfect size and location for a beach getaway. Gene is extremely friendly and responsive as well.

The place was exactly what we were looking for. We were in town for the Jazz Fest which was across the street, so it was perfect. The beach was a little bit of a walk, but wasn't the primary reason for our visit so it was fine. The place is really cute and comfortable.

Absolutely wonderful condo in Manteo! The space was clean, super comfortable and the location was perfect. Looks exactly as the pictures show, but with an even better view of the water from the patio. The hosts are lovely and very responsive. We went to see The Lost Colony at Fort Raleigh and was able to walk via an easy walking path right outside of the condo. We will 100% stay again and recommend to anyone visiting the area.
