Our one-bedroom cottage sits in the middle of over 25 acres of the beautiful Florida Nature Coast. Even though we are secluded, we have all the comforts of home, from indoor plumbing and hot water to AC and Wi-Fi. Our TV has a Firestick, so bring your Netflix or Disney+ account and stream away your nights after you retire from roasting Smores on the outdoor firepit. A self-Inflating bed takes this from a 2 person cottage to 4 in just minutes. Parking is not an issue, even if you have a trailer.

The cottage lies on the banks of Lake Rousseau. This is a very interesting lake. The lake is fed by the crystal clear waters of the Rainbow Springs system and the dark tannin stained waters of the Withlacoochee River. Back in the 1930's, the water shed was dammed up on its far western edge. The result was a creation of a 12 mile long lake with a river twisting through the center, all of which you will enjoy from your waters edge dock. Upon arrival read the local information guide I have written and start enjoying the “Nature Coast” of Florida. It is essential to read this to get the most from your trip. Use my kayaks and paddle over the manatees in Crystal River, fish the gulf for saltwater or freshwater fishing at Lake Rousseau, and take a leisurely paddle down the Rainbow River in Dunnellon. Kayaks are on a trailer that has a 1 7/8-inch ball.

The Otter House is absolutely beautiful and immaculately clean and organized. The view of the Suwanee River is breathtaking and can be seen beautifully from the house. We loved the fact that there is a wonderful restaurant called Treasure Camp close by, and even in within walking distance. The whole area is pristine and the most peaceful area that I have ever experienced. There is so much to do and it is close to several springs and to Cedar Key, and all of the people in the area are pleasant and kind. It is simply wonderful out there and I hope to be able to go often! Oh, and the beds are the most comfortable this side of heaven!!!

The house is beautiful and spacious. The decoration and distribution of the areas is very beautiful and you can tell that it is well thought out. It has all the utensils you may need in the kitchen. The check-in was easy and everything was very clean. The pool is large and the view of the lake gives it a plus. The lakeside area is excellent for relaxing. The grill was in excellent condition. If you are looking for tranquillity, connecting with nature and spending a good weekend with your family is the perfect place. Pinay was a very good hostess, we would definitely come back.

My friend and I stayed a couple nights at the Glass House so we could enjoy the nearby Rainbow Springs and Silver Springs. We felt right at home on the property and the home is cozy with a peaceful view. We sat each morning and evening on the back porch. Anabel is welcoming and responsive. Highly recommend for a nature getaway.

Nicole’s place is great for a little getaway from city life, it was very cool to walk around the property and check out the animals! Her space was very clean and she had everything you could need for a short stay. We ended up going to Devils Den and Ginnie Springs and the location of her Airbnb was prime. Overall will definitely be returning and would recommend to a couple like me and mine who enjoy all things outdoorsy!!
