Excellent place to stay! The Ashigara House is ideally located in the Oi-Matsuda area with easy access to the E1A interstate. There are many restaurants within walking distance as well as two supermarkets. The house has covered parking and is large enough for a Toyota Crossover. Plus there is an additional parking space for guests about a block away which is assigned to the house. Check-in was easy and Toshie provided some traditional snacks as a welcoming gift. The Ashigara House is two stories with three bedrooms upstairs. We had plenty of space for our extended stay. The kitchen had all the essentials for cooking. The separate dining room with a large table was great for hosting family dinners. The sofa in the living room was especially welcomed for watching movies and the washer/dryer combination was convenient. Toshie is a great host. She showed us how to operate the appliances and checked in with us regularly. I highly recommend the Ashigara House!

i came here for our 3rd anniversary trip with my boyfriend and we absolutely loved this place!! we highly recommend it for its awesome location right next to a 7/11 for late night munchies and lots of other good bakeries and restaurants. it’s also a super short walk to the train station and it’s a quick trip to central tokyo via the express train. the place was spotless and beautiful. one of my favorite spots is in that little nook above the entrance that i’ll miss so much along with the massive windows. the hosts are super sweet and kind and made our stay till the very end extremely easy and enjoyable. my most memorable stay so far!

Mayumi’s was so lovely to stay in for our short time in Odawara. We were travelling with our 8 month old baby and her place was so accommodating for him, especially all the toys.

Old Japanese Guest house IORI 菴

SophieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay in Kamakura at this beautiful property. It felt like our own Japanese home. The living areas were spacious and very functional. We were really impressed by the modern and large (for Japanese standards) kitchen and the clean and functional bathroom spaces. It was really lovely sleeping upstairs as the room is surrounded with rice paper window coverings, and we had the glow of moonlight as we fell asleep and a sunlight glow in the morning. We could have easily stayed here for a number of weeks, and will definitely be back if we revisit Kamakura. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property! The location is incredibly convenient—just steps away from the train station, which made it super easy to get around. The place itself is spotless, modern, and very well-maintained, with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. What really made the experience special was Natori—she is extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Her hospitality truly made us feel at home. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you, Natori!

Natural hot spring with cascade, Japanese-style villa with autumn leaves, Juwada stone sauna, newly renovated Sumitomo Forestry, dinner available, BBQ welcome, free parking

SukiRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The location was nice and very secluded, we were originally worried that the parking spot was too narrow, but the parking spot for a medium-sized car was just right. The house has two floors, it is a little troublesome to carry luggage (probably too many luggage), the double bed on the first floor is very comfortable, the underground is a tatami bed, we are not very used to it, so there was a bunk bed (the owner packed it up).The inside of the house is very clean and elegant, there are also two floors, there is plenty of space in the hot spring room, and we also enjoy the hot spring every day. There are also many attractions along the way, it is a very perfect place to stay ~ We will come again next time, many attractions have not been visited yet! Thank you ~
