House vacation rentals in Oban

Lovely peaceful location, stunning views. Enclosed garden, perfect for the doggies. Calmac ferry close by for a trip to Mull. We did a a trip to Sanna Beach, with amazing view of the small isles. Nice walks around the estate, friendly and welcoming staff in the farm and gift shop. Keepers cottage is a wonderful, comfortable, well equipped place to stay. 100% would love to stay here again.

We can't say enough about Mel, our host. He is a SUPER, Super host. He met us at the house, explained all the nuances of running the appliances, coffee maker, etc. I have stayed in many AirBnb's, and this was the most well stocked home yet; bread, coffee, snacks,OJ, Milk, lots of spices, and just about everything to get you started. The view from the porch is stunning. The house was immaculate in cleanliness and decorating. An added bonus; the hotter. Just can't say enough. I highly recommend this property. Janice

Visiting to take part in the Isle of Mull Sportive, the Cabin was perfectly located and provided everything we needed for our stay - tranquil setting, good warm and cosy space, well-equipped kitchen, space for our bikes, bathroom that gave us the option of a long soak in the bath if needed after our ride (we didn't but the water was really nice and hot for our showers). Eugenie sent a very informative and helpful welcome pack ahead of our stay providing clear directions and lots of great recommendations - we couldn't get in to eat at Croft 3 but we did drop in for coffee and cake and would thoroughly recommend. Thanks to Tomo, Eugenie's partner, for the encouragement to eat at Am Birlinn on our last evening - lovely space and staff and the food was delicious! More thanks to Tomo - for equipping us with hose, bucket, joinery advice and his patience! :D

We stayed for a week for my partners birthday and had the most incredible time. The views were stunning and you could just sit all day and watch the wildlife on the lake! Beds were comfy and had all the amenities you needed. We didn’t want to leave!

Home Farm Oban actually feels like a home away from home. As soon as you enter the cosy house it feels like a warm hug - it‘s the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, recharge your batteries and spend quality time with family and friends. Paul is a fantastic host, always there when you need him, but never intrusive - everyone enjoyed chatting with him. The house is spotless, it has high quality amenities and we loved all the personal touches. It‘s the best AirBnB we‘ve ever stayed at and we‘ll definitely be back!

We had an absolutely amazing time here! The house is so modern and spacious yet retains a real hunting lodge feel. It’s in the middle of nowhere and the scenery is amazing. Rebecca was super helpful getting us sorted too! If you are looking for something in the area I can throughly recommend this!

Our stay was fantastic, especially given that we booked last minute after another place fell through. The host was incredibly responsive, making sure everything was ready for us. The real highlight was the breathtaking view overlooking the water, with mountains in the distance – truly picturesque! The house itself was spacious and ideal for our group, nestled in a private, peaceful spot that felt like a true retreat. The kids had a great time with the nearby beach just a few minutes’ walk away, and they loved exploring the vast open land surrounding the property. Another great part was the location – it’s about a 15 minute drive to Oban, a lovely town with plenty to do. It gave us the perfect balance of seclusion and easy access to town activities. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy both tranquillity and the option of nearby excursions!

Well equipped, well maintained and spotlessly clean! I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Traveling with a large family (7 of us) is always a challenge and this property had plenty of room for all of us. Located close enough to town to be convenient to everything but very quiet. Our stay was perfect!

Andy’s house is fantastic for a celebration weekend. Twelve of us stayed there comfortably and there is so much public space that it’s easy to do different things yet assemble for meals. The view from the conservatory and garden is stunning. We had one person in a wheelchair and the house worked well for him too. Andy and Joan were welcoming and helpful.

Recently visited Pleasant Hill for Hen Weekend. We had previously been let down by another house and Chris was extremely helpful and reassuring. 17 of us stayed for the weekend and the house was perfect for what we needed it for. Chris was in constant contact with me, gave plenty of recommendations for local amenities and attractions and was flexible on check in and check out times. For such a large party, buying food was a concern of mines but he suggested we do an online shop beforehand and offered to collect it and put it away for us before we arrived. This really was a massive help and greatly appreciated, it was one less worry and concern I had in the run up to the weekend. Our bride and all guests had a fantastic weekend. Thank you!

We had a lovely long weekend at Tarken House. The views are beautiful. The house is spacious, well stocked and easily accommodated the 10 of us, all adults. House was lovely and warm and very clean. Beds are very comfortable and good size en-suites. Jonathon was very quick to respond to any queries we had. Would highly recommend Tarken House and definitely be back again.

Amazing homely cottage in a nice private location. This was our last night of rest post-NC500. A shame we only stayed a night, could easily have done a few more and really explored the amenities in the village. Nonetheless a fantastic stay, very comfortable and friendly hosts.

We used the house as a base for our motorcycle touring holiday and it was fantastic. We had everything we needed and absolutely no issues or concerns throughout our stay. Definitely worth the money and the location and parking couldn't have been better.

The park itself is a 1 way system and the caravan was quite high up. However we stopped to speak to groundsmen on site who straight away said follow me I’ll take you to the caravan. All staff were lovely. The caravan was as described. Very homely and modern. The outdoor space is amazing with lovely rattan furniture and hot tub. We used the hot tub everyday and it’s big enough for 6 people. The weather unfortunately wasn’t on our side all week so we didn’t dine outside. However I would definitely return. We had a slight issue with heating the first night. Lisa was back and forth messaging and said she would contact staff at reception to rectify the next day. However this was sorted over text in the end. An amazing stay, great views across the water. It was beautiful x

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, Douglas is an attentive host who was available when needed. The bungalow was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and resting which was much appreciated as our stay was over Christmas! Douglas very kindly gifted some wine and chocolates and he was there for our arrival to show us around the house, giving some useful information on nearby shops, places to eat and things to do. We were unfortunate with the weather; however, the bungalow was very cosy and thoughtfully decorated for Christmas and time spent inside looking out at the fabulous views made up for it!

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage 2 nights were not enough to fully appreciate the internal and external space. Very homely feeling.

As an extremely picky traveler, I HIGHLY recommend The Cheese Loft. The pictures simply do not do it justice. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the area, it’s clean & quiet, Ewan and Leslie could not be more friendly and accommodating, and their 2 dogs and cat are the sweetest pets ever. To top it all off, Dunnad Fort is literally next door, offering stunning 360 views of the landscape. I felt at home and didn’t want to leave. Fresh eggs from their chickens was an added bonus!

Melanie’s place was a beautiful place to stay! My family and I felt right at home. The place was very clean, organized and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

Nice place. It was clean and as described. A bit tricky for us to find because it is on the next block from the nearest sequential house number. Location was a very quick walk down a residential alley to the train station.

My husband and I have stayed at Airbnb's all over the world and Linda's family crofting cottage is easily either the best or second best one we've ever had the pleasure to stay in. The cottage is adequately sized for two people, extremely clean (even to my detail-oriented and occasionally picky eyes), and all provided amenities (bathroom supplies, kitchenware) are thoughtfully placed. Scotland has such rich and interesting history and the highlands are breathtaking - it was so nice having such a direct view of the loch from just the living room. Bonus: there are some sheep in the back field (I believe belongs to the owners?)

This was a great holiday for us. The house was everything we expected. The views and the weather wonderful. It is remote as described. We didn't have a car as holiday makers can't take a car to the island but used bikes (one brought with us, one hired on Eigg) to get about and collect extra shopping. It was a haven for walkers. Peaceful, quiet, spectacular scenery, wonderful wild flowers and birds including eagles.

I cannot recommend this lovely home enough! It’s beyond spacious, beautiful and clean! We had the most amazing time staying here and would love to come back again! The host was extremely helpful and we loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to visit Oban again!

The accommodation has everything you need and a lot more besides. It’s incredibly comfortable in every aspect. Views from the decking of the loch are stunning. We had a most enjoyable stay and highly recommend to anyone wanting a luxury accommodation in a beautiful and tranquil location.
