Beach house vacation rentals in Oak Island

Nice place, accommodated everything that we wanted. Very nice and quiet location. Declan was very helpful, responded to everything in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

We loved the house!! The pool was great for relaxing and all of the rooms were spacious and had fresh sheets. The location is amazing right next to the grocery store and block from the beach! One thing to note, two of the rooms are not separated by a door. But overall we loved our stay so much and had a great time!!

If you're looking for a place that checks all the boxes and still gives you vacation bragging rights, this is it. We stayed here with a whole crew (kids included), and honestly, it was a vibe. The house was super clean, spacious enough that no one was fighting over bathrooms or elbow room, and kid-friendly, which is code for "we didn’t have to yell 'don’t touch that' every 5 minutes." The beach? Literally across the street. We rolled out of bed and into the sand. The pool was clean, refreshing, and perfect for the whole family. Also, location-wise—10/10. Grocery store, restaurants, mini golf, and souvenir shops were all nearby. Bottom line: great house, great location, great memories. If you’re on the fence about booking—I highly recommend you do!

It was great! Only improvement would have been close enough to hear ocean and a hammock on front porch! We are hoping we can reserve again for next year.

This place was perfect for my husband , myself , and our 2 pups ! The fenced in yard was a game changer !! Not to mention , the pool and beach are steps away! We will deff be back!

This home has everything you need for a relaxing coastal stay. The beautiful deck with Adirondack chairs is perfect for watching the waves and enjoying a cocktail. The kitchen was well-stocked with essentials (like a peeler and bottle opener), which made it easy to cook meals for our family of five. The TV setup worked great for a cozy family movie night. We brought our own beach toys and chairs, but it would be a nice touch if the property offered some for guest use. The outdoor shower, easy parking and laundry downstairs completed the package! We only stayed one night but definitely would come back for longer. The beach here is gorgeous!

We come to Oak Island every year and this house was by far our favorite we have ever stayed at and plan to come back here next year! The mattresses are so comfortable, the house was so clean, comfortable and cozy that it was a joy to come back to every day and it truly felt like a luxurious vacation. Every amenity was top notch, and we truly wanted for nothing while staying here. Having direct access to the beach, with an outdoor shower with hot water, and all of the beach chairs and sunshades you need was just incredible. We had the best time- thanks again!!

stayed June 7th-14th 2025 and we had a great vacation. house was on the beach and walkable to the resturants and boardwalk. would recommend and stay again.

We loved the hammock house! It was so peaceful and beautiful. It was also very convenient to be able to walk to the beach easily and there were amazing restaurants and plenty to do nearby. We will be back!

Dune Daddy was such a wonderful, memorable experience. The cottage is decorated beautifully and being right on the beach with an outside shower and lovely porch to sit on in the mornings and evenings was such a joy. I highly recommend this rental and hope to return there again in the future!

Loved our stay here! The walking distance to the beach was perfect for our family. The kitchen is also well stocked with pots/pans/etc which made family meals easy in the house. Lindsey was great with communication pre and post visit

Couldn’t ask for a better location. Gorgeous views of the ocean, easy access to the beach, walk to grocery stores and restaurants. The bottom of the house is basically a big sandbox that our 4 year old and dog could play in all day. Peaceful and relaxing vacation. We’d stay here again!

The place was lovely, great family vacation home, made it feel as if we had a home of our own at the beach ! The hosts were good at communicating and attentive!

Firstly, Louise is a phenomenal host. She’s kind, very helpful and made our vacation process a breeze. Steps away from the beach is exactly what her home was. We enjoyed not only a comfortable space but also a place of convenience. We loved it here and hope to book again with Louise next year!

It was a great place to stay!!

Joe and Lisa’s place met every expectation that we had! This was our first long trip with our two dogs, and the fenced backyard was perfect to let them run and the neighborhood was perfect for leashed walks. Their home is modern, clean and spacious, and close to everything. Quick walk to the ocean, close to Barefoot Landing, and tons of restaurants. Importantly, we can’t speak highly enough of their expeditious responses when we reached out. Five stars all the way around! Thank you for a special first long vacation with our fur babies!

I would give more than 5 stars if that was an option. The house was the most well-stocked beach house! They thought of everything from beach gear to toiletries to kitchen supplies to make our stay as comfortable as possible. This was the first Airbnb to provide shampoo, soap, shaving kits, Q-Tips - the list goes on! Matt was also extremely communicative and shared a house guide prior to and during our stay so we knew what to expect, local activities, and places to eat. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for being exceptional hosts!

Feels like a home! Family of 4 and had plenty of space. Loved sitting on upstairs balcony and grilling out back. Wagon helped us tote our littles to beach and back! Outdoor showers have warm water and first floor laundry were super convenient!
