Architect Designed Rural Retreat

ClaireRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Bett’s home was a true reflection of what the ethos of Airbnb should be—a thoughtful and authentic experience. Though I never met her in person, I felt like we were friends through our communication and interests. It was endearing to get to know her through her space from the books she read, her petrified wood collection, post cards on the fridge of places she’s been, personal artwork and photography on the walls. It was clear that Bett loves her home and is deeply connected to her community, landscape and the culture. I enjoyed staying in someone’s home and getting the glimpse into their life where I was visiting. Too often, Airbnb properties feel like hollow, investor-driven spaces, full of cheap staging furniture and no heart, but Bett’s home was a genuine reflection of her passions & who she was as a person. If you're looking for an authentic New Mexico experience in a beautiful, private space to connect with yourself, the community, or friends, this is your spot! It's magical
The interior of the trailer features a well-equipped kitchenette with a wooden countertop and a stove, alongside a metal kettle. A cozy seating area includes two brown sofa-like benches and a mounted television. Large windows offer views of the outdoor landscape.

Thelma - Hotel Luna Mystica

CatRating, 5 stars87 months ago
This place is something magical. Hotel Luna Mystica is just far enough from downtown that you’ll feel like you are staying on the edge of the middle of nowhere, with a clear view of the mountains as your front yard and a local brewery in your backyard with amazing food, beers, and live music! The airstream hotel is perfect for solo travelers or families, has a nice neighborly vibe, and is dog friendly. I took a road trip all over New Mexico, and this is the most breathtaking views I’d seen from an airbnb location. The airstream I stayed was comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully decorated. Nothing beats making fresh coffee from a french press and drinking it on your front porch while you watch the sun rise from behind the mountains. The staff was friendly and also made great recommendations for what to check out for my day in Taos. I WILL be returning.

Ravensnest, Grizzly Rose Guest Cottage

JonathanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Michelle's Grizzly Rose Cottage accommodated the four of us, and although storage may be a little on the tight side we were able to locate our stuff conveniently. Although we arrived late at night, Michelle was available provided clear instructions where to park and access our unit. The rooms in her cottage are an art lover's delight with each room having a theme. My wife and I stayed in the hummingbird room while our kids hung out in the southwestern/Indian themed room that befits southern Colorado. Our host attended to all our needs and then some. One morning she brought us a tray of freshly baked cinnamon rolls that were the softest and sweetest I've ever tasted it rivals that of Cinnabon! Needless to say that went excellent with coffee. We were headed to Pagosa Springs on Friday to experience the hot springs and she provided much needed towels and advice that saved us a bundle. We loved our stay with her so much I can't say enough to thank her for making our vacation great.
The exterior of a shiny Airstream reflects the morning light, with colorful hot air balloons floating in the blue sky above. Lush green trees frame the scene, providing a vibrant contrast to the metallic surface of the trailer.

Airstream near Balloon Fiesta

We had a great time in this vintage cleaned up large airstream. The beds were comfortable and we could see the Mass Ascension of hot air balloons right over our head every morning. Felicia and Marcus were kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make our stay fun and comfortable.

Tewa Glamping Tipi, farm animals, hot tub, saunas

CharlieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Fantastic, huge property with lots to do. Only saw 2 small bugs the entire time in my teepee. The bed was one of the comfiest of my life. The hosts were around and available. One small thing is I wish the restrooms were lit up a little better so that when arriving late at night I could’ve located them. I was worried about trying doors that might be someone’s cabin. In the morning I showered in an open-air shower under the mountains (they also have indoor showers) and enjoyed the hot tubs too. They’ve thought of everything guests might want and have tons of comfy seating & hammocks all around the property. I also appreciated the very detailed map sent with campsite instructions.
A mountain looms in the background, partially shrouded by clouds, while a vibrant rainbow arcs across the sky. Silhouetted trees in the foreground create a natural frame, emphasizing the lush greenery of the landscape and the dramatic atmosphere of the scene.

Wild B&B - Tent Site 3 (per person)

MelaniRating, 5 stars36 months ago
William has a beautiful location to walk a short distance into for the tipi or tent camping ( which I chose). The stars were super bright and beautiful at his remote feeling location, though it’s only some 20 miles from Pagosa on a well maintained 11 miles of 2 lane gravel road. The sounds of the Blanco River lulled me throughout my stay. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the amenities— there is a full outdoor kitchen with a wash stand, covered seating and table, a charcoal grill, and a Coleman grill, replete with dining and cookware. Cold Potable water was also present. As well as A shower and toilet facilities. Most surprising to me was the elevated shower with HOT WATER ( rain water I believe). It felt like taking an outdoor shower when I left the door open— amazing experience. William also served breakfast and 420 happy hour— with a variety of items. I loved the homemade granola and cookies he provided. Williams place was wonderfully unique and I will be back in the future— with thoughtful amenities and beautiful setting. It was a one of a kind camping trip and I highly recommend it, except for those with limited mobility.
An open interior features a convertible dinette surrounded by cozy, upholstered seating. Light green curtains filter natural light, complementing the teal walls. Decorative plants add a touch of nature, while wall art enhances the creative ambiance.

Creekside Glamping 22' Tipi

James ThomasRating, 5 stars10 months ago
I spent a weekend with my dog, relaxing, cooking on the grill, and hiking local Carson National Forest trails. The owners, Debbie and Giil are my kind of people. Gil was there to greet me and show me how things worked and when I messaged them needing more firewood and coffee, Debbie was right there with it. They are nearby in their farm home but totally respectful of your privacy. They own the only restaurant in town and invited me to go hear live music on Saturday night. I'm glad I went for the food and the local talent. If you want a getaway in the lush green Tusas Valley with horses running g through the grass on the other side of the river, cows lowing, roosters crowing, lawns of Canadian geese and coyotes calling, stay in this beautiful valley with these welcoming people. For me, it was perfect. Will. be returning.

The Land of Englampment, Golden Mountain Sanctuary

ChristinaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was such a lucky last-minute find!! Extremely peaceful!! After flying in for a camping trip, the weather was much colder and rainier than expected. Within an hour of requesting to book, Gerald sent the needed information to access his super unique and well-thought-out property! We still had enough daylight to enjoy the peaceful drive in and get settled before dark. If you're looking for peace and quiet, enjoy outdoor spaces, and more of a self-reliant traveler, I absolutely recommend staying here. Because it had rained all night before, it was a little slippery getting back out, but I had no problem with a 2WD SUV. The clearance helped us not get stuck but probably most of the time a car is able to access the property just fine as some others have stated in reviews.

Staying in the RV, surrounded by trees, was a unique experience. Waking up to the view of nature right outside the window was magical. The RV itself is charming, with cute décor and convenient amenities, including a kitchen. The shared bathroom is spacious, clean, and has all the essentials. The entire place feels like a hidden gem, almost like staying in a sculpture garden, filled with beautiful artworks. Plus, you’ll get to spend time with their adorable pets: Archie, Lucy, and the cat Charlie. Barbara is an amazing host. Highly recommend!

The Eagles Nest

JohnRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Our stay at Amanda's camper was really great. The space was clean, had everything we needed, and there were plenty of toys and books for our two year old! The tree house out back was his favorite and was a lot of fun too use. Amanda responded to questions quickly and communicated clearly with things we needed to know. Overall, it was a great place to spend some family time in the mountains and we are happy we chose Amanda's.

Sunrise* 30 AMP: Small RV site by Mesa Verde!

DavidRating, 5 stars20 months ago
We had a great time watching the eclipse at the campsite! Nice views and very quiet. We had some farm raised eggs that were supplied and cooked them in the well stocked kitchen. The Sunrise camp spot is in a nice location, bring extra padding for the tent site as it’s a little rough. All in all a good experience!

Country Comfort Too

ShawnaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was my third time staying at one of Bruce's places...my first time in this particular RV. I was there with my dogs for 3 nights and it was great for us - I loved the little dog yards that have been added on to both RVs. Bruce and his wife are always so welcoming and kind to us...it's become more like staying with friends than renting an AirBNB. The actual RV was spacious and very comfortable - overall a perfect stay!

Stayed at Danny’s for a week as we were fly fishing the San Juan. Everything was great and Danny is a super nice host. Always made sure we had what we needed. I would not hesitate to stay there again. It’s in town but down a dead end road that gets zero traffic. Thank you Danny, we will be back!
