Everything about The Nest was perfect! Little touches like salt and pepper, spices, toiletries, beach towels and milk etc made it so easy. It is so peaceful and relaxing and sitting on the terrace watching the sunset was the best part of the day! Having two bathrooms is a real plus! The beds are very comfortable and the linen is lush! The outside space is beautifully kept and there are plenty of spaces to sit and relax. Although it is on a working farm we were never disturbed except for the occasional noisy sheep 🐑 and the plentiful bird life 🐦‍⬛🦉 I would highly recommend staying here for the peace and quiet! We found that Modbury was a great location to venture out from and the stunning coastline was not too far away. We could not think of anything that Felicity hasn’t already thought of and we would be really happy to stay again. A wonderful five days at ‘The Nest’ Thank you Felicity

Cosy cottage well positioned for walking on Dartmoor. Easy walk to local pub for supper and a few games of pool. One bedroom up steep ladder and above central living space so worth bearing in mind - worked fine for us. Warm cottage and nice hot water

We enjoyed our glamping-like stay in this wonderfully quiet spot, so close to nature - a little oasis of its own. Janet is a very warm and welcoming host and we hope to visit again one day.

Honeysuckle hut just lovely. Set in a field, there was an other hut in other field next door , but unless you saw it on way in threw your own private gate you felt as if you on your own patch. Each hut had own gate and fences so completely private. It was surrounded by xmas trees and long grasses with butterflies. No TV, but we brought a magnetic dart board and hung it on trellis to play at night and have few beers watching the sun go down and just chilling. It was just nice to unwind. The only issue I had was some of the lanes away from the hut were narrow, I had forgotten how scarey at times they were, but that's Devon!! You get used to them after a while the pub only 20 min walk away the California inn , food good and big portions, just be careful walking down lane to the pub as cars close by. The hut had everything you needed , once you master the hob controls as to me they not clear to see, had to put the light on wall by bed on which lit up the kitchen area to use. shower good.

We absolutely loved our stay at Boundary cottage! It’s beautifully designed with gorgeous high quality interiors. It was just right for us - two adults and two children. Everything was provided for a child friendly stay (high chair, stair gate, travel cot, kids tableware). The cottage is compact but has made the most of all space for useful storage, it had everything we needed. Highlights for us were the beautiful bed linen, the gorgeous bathroom with uninterrupted views into the fields with the cows and the lovely walk straight out of the front door down the farm track. Our kids adored the cows and the little play area was a welcome occasional distraction!

A fabulous and immaculate place to stay, with top quality comfort and space, in a beautiful countryside setting on the edge of the village. The apartment is very well equipped. We loved the bathroom's luxurious rain forest shower and the heated towel rail, so handy for airing beach towels on! Extremely comfortable super king size bed. We enjoyed using the small private garden, to have breakfast outside on hot sunny mornings, with lovely views over neighbouring fields. It's an excellent base for exploring the beautiful beaches and villages in the South Hams, being near to Dartmouth, Salcombe, Totnes and Plymouth. Caution is advised if you're unfamiliar with Devon's narrow and windy country roads on the approach to the village, or anywhere in Devon, as the roads are significantly busy and there is alot of giving way necessary and a good amount of patience required! There are some sharp speed bumps within the village! Chris and his wife are excellent hosts, welcoming and friendly.

It's rare to find an accommodation that so perfectly matches the beauty of its surroundings, but the barn conversion Issy and Murray have created has achieved just that! The barn is an incredible place to stay - wonderfully designed, high quality finishes and lovely little touches. It's welcoming and incredibly peaceful. It was a brilliant base to explore the area by foot and car and we were able to do a number of circular walks straight from the front door, delighting in our return to the barn with its fabulous views, soothing shower and super comfy bed. We'd highly recommend the barn to any couple looking to immerse in the nature of Dartmoor.

We had such a lovely holiday at Diane’s barn conversion. It seemed even bigger than on the photos and was immaculately clean and tidy. Some really beautiful little touches like fresh flowers in a vase and purdy and fig cleaning spray that were much appreciated. Good internet connection (which pleased the teenager 😀). The surroundings are breath taking. Diane is an extremely helpful host, very approachable and gave some great recommendations of good local places. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a touch of luxury in Devon x
