This apartment is in a very central and safe location in Old Fishmarket by St Giles. 5 mins walk to top attractions such as the National Museum of Scotland, Festival Theatre, the Castle. Waverley Station is 10 minutes walk. The Meadows and to George Street and the Newtown beyond are easy to reach. Very suitable for sightseers, old and young. Not a party flat but my second home when working in Edinburgh and so it is not a hotel style offering but I am sure you will love it. New kitchen for 2025.

Our beautiful, sun filled, cosy apartment dates from the late 18th Century, and is situated on the historic Royal Mile which stretches from Edinburgh Castle to The Palace of Holyrood. It is in an ideal location to explore our wonderful city. It is situated on the third floor and on one side has superb views of the Edinburgh landscape such as Calton Hill with its eclectic collection of monuments, on the other the Royal Mile itself - a great place to watch the pageantry at Festival time.

With generously sized rooms, the apartment is warm and comfortable and is a wonderful base to enjoy the city or visit the University.

The Peacock house is a comfortable studio apartment designed for a single person or two adults. It's a self contained extension attached to the owner's house with its own main door in a quiet residential area over looking Arthur Seat. It’s a short walking distance to the lovely Prestonfield Hotel, a unique hotel with highland cows and peacocks , which you will hear in summer. It’s walking distance to the centre and Arthur seat.
