She is a Very kinda lady. Was very helpful of knowledge of places to eat and things to do in the area. Also baked us some amazing cookies :)

This was a quaint, quiet, clean, and cozy upstairs apartment that had everything we needed for a weekend getaway!

Our air bnb stay was great! The house was clean and in order, the beds were comfy, and for how cold it was outside during our stay (10 degrees) the 1800’s house managed to stay warm during our stay!!! Would highly recommend booking very much worth it!! Thank you David for allowing us to stay in your lovely home!!!

If in Ft Madison, Ia. You’d like a place to stay do not overlook this property. Barbara’s has forgot nothing in the Amenity Dept. We arrived late. Walked in. Looked at each other and said this should have been a 2 night stay instead of - night. Beauty, spotless, inviting and convenient to find. Yes, it is worth every penny! Thanks, Barbara!

Great, clean space!

The loft was absolutely perfect and a great location in Fort Madison. Kumar was a great host and very proactive. Would absolutely stay there again and recommended it to many others at the wedding I attended for their friends and family.

Jessica is very helpful and a great host. The home is like the town a little older, but it worked great for us. There is a train near by but it really didn't bother us at all. It was a great stay for our bigger family.

We loved our stay at Hart house. We were surprised to arrive and see it really was right across the street from the temple. It was an amazing view, not to mention the view of the mississippi river down the hill. The home is appointed in antique and arts & craft period pieces. There was lots of room for our family of 6 too. It was beautiful and just fantastic. The weather got cold and very windy and we enjoyed staying indoors that evening and enjoying the beautiful home and view. This is not a comment on the house but Nauvoo in general for April. There is very little to eat in town. There is no grocery store in town and Keokuk 20+min away is the closest city with grocery stores. We decided we’d just eat out. Well, Casey’s gas station is the only place open for breakfast before 10am, and gratefully, their breakfast pizza and breakfast wraps are ok. For dinner, the nauvoo inn is open on the weekend but on a weekday night, the Red Front is all that’s open. Just a heads up!

Twila and Jeff have a wonderful place with thoughtful amenities and wonderful attention to detail. They have everything organized and instructions are clear. The house is clean with updated finishings, comfortable furniture, and plush carpet. We rented this Airbnb to visit Nauvoo and we felt it was a perfect, private getaway within driving distance of everything. Highly recommend. I especially recommend it for bigger families. I was not traveling with my family but the space could have easily accommodated my family of six.

The Grand Victorian is unique, lovely and spacious - and the perfect setting for our family gathering. Lovely to be across from a park and within view of the Mississippi. We could walk to have coffee downtown (Swed & Co), as well as to a few restaurants and a bookstore. The beds were comfortable. The train sounds didn’t bother us much. (Bring earplugs if you’re worried). One thing - if you come in at night as we did, be aware there are two sets of internal stairs - the narrow back stairs off the kitchen, which we imagine were for servants’ use - and the grand staircase toward the front of the house will be much better for carrying suitcases upstairs. This is a special place. We’d be delighted to return.

Great place to stay at to visit Nauvoo with family. Nice and quiet/peaceful, surrounded by corn fields but also just a 5 minute (or less) drive to town and all the sites. Nothing fancy (house is on the older side) but enough space for our family of 8.

Great little place! Got together with a few co-workers, we all work together but remotely. Was just an overnight but it was more than we needed and a wonderful view! Great communication with the host and easy to check in and check out. We have already discussed returning in the future!

Tina’s home was a joy to stay in. It suited our needs for the area. The historic charm of the house is really quite special and something to look forward to. I would recommend for anyone wanting to visit. Tina was kind and informative of what to expect. It was a wonderful visit.
