Mettlenhof, also known as Mettlen Farm, is a restored farmhouse in Mettlen, Schopfheim, Baden-Württemberg. Built with traditional craftsmanship and natural materials, it provides a bright, welcoming space for up to 10 guests. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of rolling hills, Icelandic horses, and Scottish Blackface sheep. Schwalbennest Laufenburg

Our apartment "Schwalbennest" is a charming two-room apartment with entrance area, living/dining room, well equipped kitchen and bathroom with shower on about 40 square meters of living space. A spiral staircase leads to the sleeping area in the gallery with double bed and sofa bed. The apartment is located in a quiet residential area on a hillside, a few hundred meters next to the Hochrheinradweg and about a 12-minute walk from the train station and the picturesque old town of Laufenburg.

You will feel comfortable in this cozy place to stay. A spacious patio by the pond invites you to relax. 5-minute walk to the train station or to the banks of the Rhine 10-minute walk to the supermarket / bakery 15-minute walk to the outdoor pool Quietly located and close to the border with Switzerland and France. By car, you can reach Bad Säckingen, Wehr or Rheinfelden (Germany & Switzerland) in 10 minutes and Schopfheim in 15 minutes. Basel is within approx. 25 minutes by car.

Approx. 85 m² apartment, completely refurnished and renovated in 2020. The second bed is a folding bed that can be placed in the bedroom or living room. Directly in front of the living room there is a terrace, in addition a large garden can also be used. Directly on the hiking trail "Albsteig". Schluchsee, Titisee and Feldberg about 30-40 km away, border crossing to Switzerland about 7 km. Own car required, as there is no shopping facility in the village (about 4 km away).

Close to nature & stylish living in the old farmhouse

The apartment is in the small district of Karsau, which belongs to Rheinfelden (Baden). In an almost 200-year-old farmhouse overlooking our farm animals (horses/sheep/cat/dog/chickens) you can relax wonderfully. Basel can be reached in 20 minutes by car/train. Beuggen train station is within walking distance (1.5 km). Right next door is a children's playground and the forest with beautiful walking and cycling trails is a few minutes' walk away.
