Creekside Green Cabin

VartikaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
It was a great find for a quick getaway into the woods without having to drive too far out from San Jose. The cabin is exactly as described in the pics, my Toddler’s favorite part was climbing upto the bed upstairs. The layout so thoughtfully designed with all the basic amenities available including the Hammock outside! It was our day out in the wilderness, and short hike down the creek behind, was perfect for getting my toddler excited. The playground abt 10 mins walk away was perfect for tiring him out of residual energy before we retire to the cabin. The winding road down to the cabin adds to the adventure and thanks to Laurel on how descriptive she was in the instructions, they were truly helpful. Santa Cruz and Los Gatos have plenty of great restaurants for the day trip! Highly recommend the place.

Coastal Redwood Cabin | Hot tub | Private Creek

LaurenRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Beautiful location, you feel like you’re in a magical realm. The cabin is cute, but it is in the mountains and in the woods so is chilly, make sure to bring sweaters. The hot tub is great, but note that it isn’t a standard hot tub, you sit on the floor of it. Great for us but may be hard for others! I’d highly recommend this spot and we’re thinking about coming again.

Kristy’s place was perfect! Very good for privacy as each bedroom was on the opposite ends of the house. Our dogs absolutely loved the yard, and the fenced in wrap around deck. Kristy was very responsive and even contacted us letting us know that we could check in early. We will definitely be back!

Contemporary open floor plan home near Santana Row

EddyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We enjoyed our 4 nights at the house. The host made us feel at home right away with his friendly messages. The house was clean, well-appointed and there was great attention to details. Bottled water, coffee pods and some candies were thoughtfully laid out. Walk-in wardrobe with lots of pull-out drawers and space for hanging clothes. New washer and dryer with laundry detergent pods provided. Pretty well-manicured garden and backyard. Well-equipped kitchen - it would have been a pleasure to cook some meals, but we didn’t have the opportunity. We also liked the neighbourhood which was quiet, safe and pretty. If we ever came back to Santa Clara, we’d definitely come here again!

High end home in Silicon Valley, Non-Smokers only

AlanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
It is a beautiful and well maintained unit., clean and functional. The host is very thoughtful. Everything is properly labeled and easy to find. The internet access is perfect for games and work. We found the same conveniences as we were home. The bed was very comfortable. We liked neighborhood a lot. It is quite, but everything is near by. Local coffee is excellent, much better than Starbucks. It is close to the major roads. We were very surprised as we got to SFO in 45 minutes in the morning during the morning rush hours. A great place to stay!

We booked Tracy's place for a family memorial, and it was the perfect fit. The kitchen was excellent for entertaining. The beds were comfortable, and we were in walking distance to groceries, cafes, and nearby parks. The neighborhood was quiet and an easy drive to excellent restaurants. Our host checked in with us several times to make sure everything was fine. We really appreciated that personal touch. Thank you, Tracy.

MichaelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We were almost sorry to stay for only two nights. The place is just about perfect, with an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen and any amenity you might need (possible exception is a/c, but it wasn’t very warm during our stay). The traffic died down at night , making it a quiet place to sleep. Particularly nice is the immediate proximity of the bay tail: perfect for a morning run or an evening stroll. Oriel was very proactive communicating, and we never had any uncertainty about anything. Highly recommended: we would stay there again anytime!

Bicycle Shack @ La Honda Pottery

AnkorRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I had the absolute pleasure of staying in a beautiful cabin in La Honda, CA last weekend, and it was truly a fantastic experience from start to finish. The cabin itself was cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by the stunning natural beauty of the redwoods — the perfect escape from the city. What made the stay even more special were the incredible hosts. Devora and her husband who own the property were warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Their hospitality was genuine and heartfelt, and it really made all the difference. Whether you’re looking for a quiet retreat in nature or just a memorable weekend getaway, I can’t recommend this place highly enough. I left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already looking forward to coming back!

King-Size Luxury Near Stanford in a Modern 1-BR

TimRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Michelle and Ming are lovely, polite, and professional hosts. We stayed for just a few days, but it was a truly wonderful experience in their charming home, located in the heart of Silicon Valley. You can really see the care they’ve put into the aesthetic interior! It’s beautifully designed and welcoming. At the same time, the house is well-equipped with everything we needed (coffee machine, a variety of spices, pots and pans, etc.), which made our short stay very comfortable. Plus, the bed was one of the most comfortable and cleanest we’ve experienced even compared to many hotels and other Airbnbs! It was an enjoyable stay, and we’d love to visit again!

🌟Cheerful 2B2B in prime location 🌲Redwood Pl Apt 3

AvinashRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We stayed at this place for 3 days while organising an event in Santa Clara. The place turned out to be perfect for us as it was quite spacious, both inside and out. It’s also located in a very peaceful and walkable neighborhood. Also, I rented a 4Runner and was afraid of the parking situation but to my pleasant surprise I was able to easily park inside the compound. More than the place, I’m impressed with Rainee and Steven, who were amazing hosts! They went out of their way to help us out with some power tools that we needed during our stay. I’m really grateful for that

Your guide to Mountain View

Welcome to Mountain View

Just a little over twelve square miles, Mountain View is a small city with enormous impact. A former agricultural hub, it’s now known as the birthplace of Silicon Valley. Heavyweight tech companies have sprawling, glossy campuses here alongside scientific outposts such as the NASA Ames Research Center — home to the world’s largest wind tunnel — and the SETI Institute, whose scientists have been searching for life beyond Earth since 1984. Despite all the money zooming around, the glitz is mostly contained to the lavish tech campuses.

Mountain View itself is a cluster of residential neighborhoods such as Monta Loma, which one particular icon of personal computing once called home, and where the streets are lined with classic mid-century ranches. Mountain View’s pedestrian-friendly downtown centered on Castro Street is the city’s dining hub, with options from burgers and beer to award-winning French cuisine packed within its boundaries. Visitors and locals alike can get plenty of exercise at Shoreline at Mountain View, a 750-acre park with a golf course, sailing lake, and a kite lot where enthusiasts get tricky with stunt kites.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Mountain View

Mountain View enjoys a mild climate year-round. Summer and late fall are the warmest months, and you may have to compete for sidewalk seating downtown on balmy nights. In September, Castro Street comes alive with the Mountain View Art & Wine Festival, which features more than 500 artists, as well as live music, and fine wine and food vendors. Things cool down considerably in the winter, and January and February are the wettest months.

Top things to do in Mountain View

Computer History Museum

Geek out at this museum that celebrates the history of all things tech. The centerpiece collection on the first 2,000 years of computing includes such fascinating artifacts as analog computers made of wood and wire and a Commodore 64, the pioneering desktop cube first sold in 1982. Drop by the learning lab to see a demonstration of orchestrions — mechanical musical instruments similar to an organ.

Rengstorff House

Located in Shoreline at Mountain View Park, this circa-1867 Victorian Italianate building is the oldest house in the city. Once slated for demolition, this historic house has been lovingly restored. Inside you’ll find grand marble fireplaces, period wallpaper, and 10-foot ceilings hung with brass chandeliers. Free tours are offered throughout the week.

Castle Rock State Park

Mountain View is surrounded by many of Northern California’s most scenic driving routes, from the cinematic coastal Highway 1 (the seaside town of Half Moon Bay is just 30 miles to the northwest of the city) to the rural Highway 9 in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where a number of picturesque state parks reside. Castle Rock is a gem among these parks, offering trails that take visitors from lush forests to sweeping vistas from the surfaces of sculpted sandstone. It’s a popular destination for hikers as well as climbers who scale the namesake rock. Note that cell reception here is very spotty, so map your route before you arrive.
