Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mosfellsbær

The renovated water tower is a lovely and clean home. There are large sliding doors on each floor that open up to give access to the outdoors or cool off the home. The main bathroom with a shower is located on the ground floor and comes with shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. There is also a hair dryer and many towels available. The bathroom on the second level was small and could be accessed through the main bedroom. The kitchen was bright and open. There was plenty of seating for the 4 of us, although the bench seat by the kitchen table could be thoroughly washed. Plenty of dishes and kitchen essentials. Washer and drying rack were a pleasant addition to the home and made traveling light easier. The rooms were cozy and the beds are comfortable. The stairs are steep but easy to navigate for our children (ages 7 and 9). The views from inside and from the deck are beautiful. The two birds nesting outside are quite friendly. Earlier guests named them Chuck and Larry.

A beautiful, peaceful setting, with stunning views. Kathrin and her husband let us know when the northern lights appeared one evening and helped us with the settings on our i-phone so we could take the best pictures. Very appreciative or their help. We highly recommend their quiet cottage.

What an amazing place. The cottage is located in a beautigful fjord with an uncredibld view towards the sea and mountains partly covered in snow. We enjoyed our stay to the fullest. Highly recommend staying in this beautiful cottage as it is a great spot to chill, relax and have a great time with family and friends. We will be back. Thank you so much guys! The apartment was great: clean, close to shops and restaurants, and in a quiet neighborhood. It was peaceful and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and at night, it was quiet. We were able to make coffee in the morning with no issue. We loved our stay and were able to get an earlier check in, which was so kind. So appreciate it!

Himri was the perfect place for our stay in Iceland. It had all the amenities we needed—a hot tub, sauna, large deck, and plenty of items for house use. Himri is surrounded by beautiful scenery and a short drive to town for any needed supplies. Berglind was always responsive and had good information to share. We would definitely stay at Himri again.

Oppholdet har vært veldig bra! Utrolig koselig og sjarmerende hus. Vi brukte kveldene i huset, lagde mat og nøt sjarmen til huset. Ved adkomst ble vi mor av Òlavdur som fortalte oss om husets historie og ga tidlige instruksjoner for bruk av huset og tips om området. Hjertelig takk for oss! Jeg håper jeg kommer tilbake en gang. Great location in Reykjavik. Walkable to most attractions near central Reykjavik. Parking garage around corner but is closed from Midnight to 7am. Only had an issue with those times once. They pull down steel doors so you can’t enter or exit. You could hear the neighbors but they offered ear plugs for you to pick u on 4th floor. Also had bags of ice for your use ( this was a great luxury in Iceland)! We also used the guest washer and dryer (nice perk). Would stay again!

Sigrun’s apartment is on the outskirts of city centre and the perfect base to travel and see the sights of Iceland. Apartment is new, modern, clean and spacious. Whilst there is construction still continuing on site, it’s not disruptive and view from apartment is stunning. Very quiet and peaceful area. Lots of useful items provided and little touches left throughout the apartment which was much appreciated. Supermarket 20 mins walk and cinema/bowling complex nearby too. Sigrún was a great communicator and made the check-in very easy. Highly recommend. Thanks again Sigrun! 😁

Zeer fijn verblijf op een mooie centrale locatie bij Reykjavik, 10 minuten zit je in het centrum, en 10 minuten zit je ook op de ringweg. Vanaf luchthalen zeer goed bereikbaar en eenvoudig te vinden. Accomodatie is simpelweg perfect, zeer luxe, knus en super netjes. Keuken is van alle gemakken voorzien, badkamer is compleet, slapen is heerlijk en rustig, weinig tot eigenlijk geen geluid. Woongedeelte is echt heel leuk ingericht en de televisie (alhoewel weinig tot niet gebruikt), is ook perfect. Zeer, zeer tevreden ik zou iedereen aanbevelen om hier te verblijven. De host Sara is bereikbaar en behulpzaam. 5/5, de volgende keer zal ik zeker weer hier verblijven.

We've stayed here twice now and again it's absolutely amazing, the scenery, the apartment, the host all amazing and nothing to complain about. one of the best places I've ever stayed at.

Home in Reykjavík was perfect - great location with parking , great kitchen, bathroom, and super comfortable bed - I loved it. Espaço muito agradável, numa zona muito calma e com uma vista para a montanha muito bonita. O apartamento tem tudo o que é necessário, não sentimos falta de nada. Estava impecável quando chegámos, desde a limpeza à arrumação. Recomendamos.

We enjoyed staying at Ragnar's place. It was exactly as pictured and was great for getting around to all the sites. Ragnar is very kind and helped us when we had something go wrong. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had what we needed and the bathroom was very big and clean.

Arni provided great instructions and photos for finding and entering the apartment - it was a seamless experience. I found the place impeccable and with an inviting charm. It's spacious and the bathroom is big. The mattress was very comfortable. Light sleepers should pack earplugs for the road noise. I didn't explore the area around but it's convenient for driving out of town to see the sites, and there's a gas station nearby. I didn't try the local bus but there's a stop for it very close to the building.

Welcoming and cosy place, as soon as we arrived we found everything very clean and tidy, kitchen equipped with everything you need to prepare something to eat, very clean bathroom, room equipped with Smart TV and vacuum cleaner. The owner of the house is always available for any eventuality. If I were to return to Iceland I would gladly book another stay with him.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der Wohnung. sie ist sauber und modern. Da wir schlechtes Wetter hatten, haben wir uns auch viel dort aufgehalten, was mit der Ausstattung und den Räumlichkeiten gut geht. Die Kommunikation mit Sara lief super. Sie hat sehr schnell und freundlich geantwortet. Tatsächlich sind wir sogar sehr kurzfristig einen Tag früher angereist. Dies könnten wir innerhalb weniger Minuten mit ihr besprechen.

Stayed in Iceland for a week and was a great place to stay! Host was very responsive, and helpful when needed. He provided very helpful instructions and recommendations for the stay. The place was clean and as described! The location was close to the city and many destinations while still being in a peaceful quieter part of town. Would stay here again if I was to travel here again!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist einfach ein Traum, schick und modern eingerichtet, alles was man braucht ist da. Es war sauber und wir haben uns gleich wohl gefühlt. Die Aussicht ist natürlich ein Highlight, welches wir jeden Morgen beim Frühstücken genossen haben. Wir würden wieder kommen :)

The place is maintained very well, has very nice warm vibes and good interiors. The location of the place is excellent, one can just spend days looking outside from the balcony.

The Airbnb was easily accessible and well equipped with washing machine, dryer and fully equipped kitchen. There was also a designated parking spot for your vehicle. Magnus was responsive and extremely helpful in answering any queries. Would recommend this place

Beautiful apartment at a new development, easily reachable by car. We found everything we needed here as a couple visiting Iceland for the first time. The place is very clean and modern, and is a cosy and comfortable base while exploring the stunning country.

My family and I stayed here for Christmas and New Years! The location was perfect for going in and out of town to look for the northern lights and still close to the city center for shopping! Hradnildur also gave us a list of recommendations which helped us find the hidden gems!
