Cabin vacation rentals in Monte Rio

Came into town to celebrate our friend’s upcoming nuptials and this place did not disappoint. It is as inviting and beautiful as the photos suggest and the glorious Redwoods that surround the deck take you into instant ease and relaxation. So close to downtown bars and restaurants and Johnson’s Beach. We’ll be staying here again!

This was one of my favorite Airbnb stays—peaceful and serene, nestled among the redwoods. It felt like living in a treehouse.

We loved our stay at Chad‘s place. I have been to the Russian River area many times and this was one of the most comfortable Airbnb’s I stayed in. The deck has everything and on a comfortable evening serves as the main living space. Inside is great too! We did a lot of cooking in the kitchen and played games in the living room. The downstairs unit is perfectly equipped and there’s even a washer/dryer! Chad was a great host and the house was clean and had everything we needed to feel welcome and comfortable. We will be back!!!

I don’t have a lot of experience with Airbnb, this is only the second time I’ve ever had to use this service and I’m so thankful that I found this gem! It was so nice to have a private area and not have to worry about our kids being too loud for people. We’re very thankful that Austin lent us this beautiful space and of course for his amazing neighbor Carl as well!

Wow, what a great stay. We were in town for a wedding that was within walking distance from the house. The house was as described in the listing, and Jennifer was great with responding to my questions before we checked in. The back patio was well worth the stay, and the hot tub was a great spot to wind down after the wedding. We will book here again.

It was an adorable cabin with spectacular views! Lindsay was very quick to respond both before arriving and during our stay. Their place had everything that we needed. I loved their custom stickers of their home. The dog looked just like ours. Every day through out the day was a new picturesque view. The hot tub and fire pit made our cabin in the woods dreams come true.

Heaven on Earth!!! This home nestled among the beautiful Redwood forest could not be more perfect. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to prepare a gourmet dinner. The master bedroom is beautiful and the king bed is possibly the most comfortable we have ever slept in. Genevieve has thought of everything...each side of the bed has an iphone/apple watch charger and bed heater which made the already amazing bed even more cozy. We loved the heated toilet seat...might have to get one for our house now! The hot tub and infared sauna were perfect after a day exploring wine country. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area. Thank you for sharing your magical home with us. We will certainly be back!

We had a very peaceful stay at Alexandra's. The cabin is bright and cheery, thoughtfully and tastefully appointed. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable, with the exception of one unseasonably hot day (in the 90s), when the fans were not enough to keep us cool. It cooled off at night though, and I imagine temperatures are cooler most of the time. Overall, a great place to stay while exploring Sonoma.

A bit tricky to find, but overall loved my stay here. The place was amazing and the location even better. Loved the private deck. Definitely would come back on my next visit.

This cottage was exactly what I was looking for for a quick, quiet getaway. I sat for hours on the deck just looking at the hill and the river, drinking coffee, and listening to the birds (Merlin ID'd 12 bird species by sound in just 5 minutes!). The town of Duncan Mills is only a few minutes away and is an absolute gem. I can't believe I've never spent time there before. The cabin is cozy, clean, and perfect. A great stay!

This is the perfect getaway spot! The photos don't do it justice, the place is surrounded by nature and has almost a treehouse feel to it. We loved the decor and felt the place had all the amenities we needed. We will definitely be back here!

This was our first time staying at Johnson’s Beach Resort so I wasn’t sure what to expect. My husband and I stayed in one of the canvas cabanas since we liked the idea of glamping. We go tent camping often so this was right up our alley. The cabana has the perfect accommodations such as a cooler, fan, lamps and wonderful heating pads which kept us warm all night! The only thing that I would say is that if you are weary of bugs to bring a zapper because they can easily get into the tent and they were definitely in there. Overall we had a great time and the close river access is perfect. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

We had a wonderful stay! We were struck by how peaceful and serene the location was from the moment we arrived. Nestled in nature and far from the bustle of everyday life, it offered exactly the kind of calm we were looking for. The home was spotless, cozy, and fully equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing week. Our experience was smooth and stress-free from start to finish. We left feeling refreshed and already dreaming of our next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking to truly unwind!

We had a really lovely stay here! The hosts are very nice and responsive. The house is decorated and set up thoughtfully, and we were very comfortable (even with a toddler). The deck was a wonderful space to hang out on. The area isn't super walkable, but it's close to downtown/not far from hikes. I would definitely stay again!

Easily one of the most peaceful places I have ever stayed, Ana’s cabin is a true gem of a retreat: nestled back in the woods, steps from the creek. For the three days we were there, we didn’t see or hear another person. The garden is like something out of a fairytale, a little wild and incredibly beautiful and lush, with a new little nook or sitting area around every corner, and the sounds of running water in the background. After exploring the garden and creek all day, it was so cozy to curl up by the fire in the evening. Ana also made everything incredibly easy with proactive communication and clear instructions. We left feeling relaxed and refreshed.

This was our third time staying at the Tree Top Cabin. We go to Guernville at least twice a year as we are looking to move up there. The tree top cabin is great for relaxing times with friends and family. Love having dinner on the deck after grilling. Even though you have a house right next to you it seems like they are far away due to magical redwoods surrounding. Highly recommend this place if you want to get away for relaxation but also be close to wineries and plenty to do outdoors.

Rio Nido was great getaway for couple of days located in the heart of Russian River Valley. Hosts were superb and proactive. We enjoyed the room, the Rio Nido Lodge as well as the shared hot tub. It felt like private hot tub as there was nobody except us. Their cedar wood sauna was the best. We also went to see Korbel Winery right next to Rio Nido. It was peaceful and relaxing experience. Thank you Cherrie and Theo for hosting us.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Chad's place. It exceeded our expectations! Chad is very responsive and welcoming. The house is very comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. The hot tub was perfect - so relaxing! The view - beautiful! We brought our dogs with us on this trip, and they loved it too! The place is very dog friendly. The yard is fully enclosed so they could explore without us having to worry. Such a cool house with plenty to do, and very peaceful. The surrounding area is so much fun to explore too. There's a market close by, and the river is super close! I just can't say enough about how much we enjoyed staying here. We cannot wait to book another trip to Chad's place!

It was a nice place to get away for a weekend. The ambiance of the cottage was perfect for being out in the woods. It’s close by to a lot of good food places for breakfast, and the river which was great to hit in the afternoon.

Fabulous home with an incredible view! The rooms and beds were comfortable and we were made to feel right at home! You cannot beat the view of the trees and river!

Russ's attic cabin was exactly as advertised: charming, beautiful, cozy and idyllic. It truly is a treehouse, an attic haven surrounded by redwood and deciduous trees framed in every window. And yet it's surprisingly roomy and bright. It's also close to the river, all the restaurants and cafes in Guernenville and Forestville and the endless vineyards and wineries along Westside Rd. My partner and I spent a wonderful romantic weekend here and it was the perfect venue.

We had the most wonderful stay at Peter’s cabin. The location was serene and surrounded by breathtaking views, making it the perfect getaway. The cabin itself was spotless, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was how dog-friendly the property was! Our dogs absolutely loved exploring the outdoor space. It’s not always easy to find places that welcome pets, and this cabin truly went above and beyond. Thank you for providing such a peaceful and welcoming retreat. We can’t wait to come back!

The forest is breathtaking, and the place was immaculate, comfortable, with everything you need.
