Lake house vacation rentals in Michigan

This home is incredibly lovely. It was better than what we expected. We will be coming back! Amy was flexible with our check out and let us 5 extra hours to hang out on our last day. Very accommodating!!

We enjoyed a lovely stay on Roger’s Pond. Zachary was very responsive and made us feel at home! We wanted a relaxing weekend and that’s exactly what we got! The view of the river did not disappoint and the view of the sunsets were spectacular. We loved that we had access to kayaks to explore the river.

This was our first experience renting an air bnb and we are sold. we are already planning our next get away. The only issue is that my fiance is currently looking for a lake house of our own now thanks to Renee and Paul's beautiful home and the great overall experience. (Not a bad problem to have at all, just being funny). Thank you so much to the Dudleys for the great introduction, I don't see myself getting another hotel unless absolutely necessary.

What a beautiful cabin! Sometimes the pictures look nice and you get there and it is not like that, NOT HERE! So wonderful and very clean! I give this a 20 out of ten. The host is very nice and Accommodating. I would definitely stay here again, to be honest I didn’t want to leave because it was so peaceful and comfortable there.

The Haven Cottage was an amazing experience for our family of four. It went above and beyond our expectations! It was beautiful, cozy, clean, and safe for our young kids. Wendy & Al were amazing hosts and thoughtful down to every little detail. We realized we needed a pack and play and Wendy was generous enough to bring one over very quickly (and she also gave my girls some bubbles while stopping by). 🤗 They had a welcome book with everything we needed to know about the cottage, places to visit, and a scavenger hunt that my four year old LOVED! They went above and beyond and made us feel right at home and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you Wendy & Al for sharing your beautiful home!

Great Beach House! My family and I stayed here for 4 nights. The surroundings are beautiful. We watched the sunrise over the lake every morning and enjoyed the patio and fire pit each evening. We enjoyed the early morning wildlife-bald eagle, deer in the lake, a multitude of different birds, and enjoyed watching and looking up thw freighters as they passed. The lake was supeisingly warm even when thw temperature outside was only in the 60's. Definitely bring water shoes! Port Austin was a short drive North where they hold an amazing Farmer's market on Saturday.

The view was phenomenal, we couldn’t have asked for a better location. Super private and excluded but still close enough drive to town to grab dinner. We loved the outdoor shower for when you got back from the beach to rinse off. A super peaceful and relaxing location. We used the complimentary kayaks but it was a bit windy that day but it was fun to try. We loved the different seating areas overlooking the lake. The only thing missing is a hot tub but overall the home exceeded our expectations. Everything was clean and in order. We would definitely book here again and we hope to bring our family back in the future !! Thank you. 😊

We had a wonderful stay! This was our first vacation with our 10 month old. The bed rooms were a bit tight for a pack n play but that’s my only negative about James’ beautiful place. It was clean, decorated well and we could walk EVERYWHERE! I’d recommend this place to anyone interested in staying in New Buffalo.

Wow! this is such a fun little getaway. great location on a beautiful lake. Kids had a great time. If we're ever in the area again we will come back and stay longer.

A beautiful property with wonderful and generous hosts! Denise and Rog left no stone unturned to make you feel at home; every snack option available and plenty toiletries if you forgot any. They are incredibly responsive to requests and questions. If we ever need a place to stay in the area again, I don't need to look any further then the Lodge!

Host was super quick to responds and sent a ton of info of things to do in the area. A very nice, peaceful time on the lake.

We loved our little getaway to Scott and Jennifer’s beautiful property! It has everything you need to have a fun, comfortable and peaceful weekend - we felt right at home and loved the pool and hot tub with beautiful views. We also brought our pup who was a big fan of the fenced yard and exploring every nook. Thank you for sharing your beautiful space with us!

We had an amazing stay to celebrate a milestone birthday with my extended family! The house comfortably fit 4 families and a labradoodle and was excellent for the 5 kiddos. The heated pool and hot tub were fantastic for cooler than expected temperatures Memorial Day weekend and kept the kids entertained. We opted to cook and grill at the house and had everything we needed. The house is also super close to the beautiful New Buffalo beach. We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jennifer’s house! It was clean, great location & cozy! We especially loved the automatic pool cover so we could actually relax on vacation with our little ones running around. I also loved the three separate areas outside (pool, fire pit, grassy area). The separate areas offered a nice change of scenery to break up the day without leaving the house. I also loved that it’s a spacious ranch style house, so was easy to keep eyes on the kids. Jennifer was a wonderful & accommodating host & can’t wait to get back to her house soon! Thanks for having us!

We loved our family vacation at Strawberry Haus! It was our second stay here! The weather was perfect for swimming, fishing, kayaking, peddle boating and campfires! Everyone loved all of the activities! There is so much space in the house! We bring our food for the weekend and the kitchen is perfect for getting meals ready. Everyone loves the hot tub and the PacMan machine! The loons on the lake are a bonus and a nice neighbor next door who took a family photo for us:) We will be back again!!!

This house was nothing short of excellent for our family vacation! SUPER clean house with everything we needed to feel right at home. Amazing views of the lake from the second level deck and about a 40ft walk from the house to the beach! The beach was soft and sandy as far out as I clould wade. Great for the kids, zero rocks, algae, or sea weed. Spacious rooms, bathrooms, living areas, everything was very grandeur. All kinds of games, kitchen fully stocked with all the utensils needed for all the meals we cooked, plenty of bathroom linens along with ample beach towels for everyone. The house is within sn hour drive of pictured rocks, 15 minutes to kitchiti kipi. Plenty of restraunts in the area and a GREAT grocery store 4 minutes away. Cant say enough good things about this house, probably our favorite airbnb we’ve ever booked! This was our first trip to the Upper Peninsula and we will definitely return!

This cozy unique little gem on the lake was a great stay. Frederick met us at check-in and showed us the place. He was very friendly and helpful. We loved the views and access to the lake, as well as hearing the water at night. The place is very intimate, so make sure if you are staying with someone else that you are close!

My family absolutely loved our stay! Carrie thought of everything! I truly felt at home during my stay. My absolute favorite part of my stay was the screened in porch. I sat there each morning with my coffee enjoying the peace and quiet. My kids loved all the games and entertainment. I literally did not see them the first night. We were able to walk down to the beach and enjoy Lake Michigan. Carrie is a wonderful host and truly cares about her guests and their experiences. I recommend this property to everyone.

This place lived up to the hype! It was tucked in a serene wooded area with the beach a short distance away. The stay was clean, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities needed for our five day stay, including super comfortable beach chairs. We spent many hours reading and playing chess in the three season room. It was nice the place was equidistant from Saugatuck and Holland, making exploring both towns easy. One disclaimer for anyone with mobility issues—Laketown Beach can be extremely challenging to access (particularly on the way back) since it is a large hill and a super sandy trail. Something to keep in mind when booking.

My husband and I couldn’t have been more pleased with this B&B!! It was exactly fit what we envisioned for our private little getaway following our wedding! It was so peaceful and relaxing, especially having the warm hot tub while we admired the gorgeous lakefront view!! Extremely kind hosts as well!! Couldn’t have been more pleased all around!! We cannot wait to come back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed Ryan's property. We were visiting the area to see the Nascar Race which was an easy country drive to the event. This lake house cottage is adorable. The family room was sooo comfortable to watch movies on a big screen TV. We especially enjoyed sitting outside by the firepit. The lake is on the smaller side but it was so peaceful and private! We didn't do any fishing but looks like a perfect place to fish! The house was well equipped and very clean. Do not hesitate to stay at this property.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous location - perfect for our family getaway!

We had such a great stay! The yard and beach were spectacular! We paddled and watched the sunset and walked on the beach. We played yard games and board games, soaked in the hot tub and grilled out. Our hosts were so kind and welcoming and gave us great local tips. They went out of their way to help us. The home is beautiful and had everything we needed with lots of nice little touches to make us comfortable. This is the place you want to stay, don't look any further. We hope to come back again sometime.
