Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Mendocino County

Kara's place is cozy and welcoming! We loved the rustic but elegant decor. The house was super clean. The beds are comfortable and the view of the woods from the living room is peaceful. The location is perfect to visit downtown Mendocino and the Anderson Valley wineries. Lots of great hikes close by! We would love to stay again in our next visit to the area.

We recommend this airbnb! I have been traveling pretty regularly for the past 12 years for my job... hotel after hotel. This time I decided to book my own lodging as my husband and baby were tagging along...and this airbnb could have been any more of a perfect match for what I was looking for! The views are beautiful as is the airbnb itself. Tons of windows and skylights create beautiful natural light. The interior has a beautiful wooden cabin feel. The choice of decor is nautical, very interesting provides the warmth of being at a familar home. There is Cooks Beach just a 3 minute drive (great coffee shop in that area) and the center of town is also a 3 minutes drive the opposite direction. Mike has included a variety of board games to be used. Internet was strong and we both had phone service the entire time (AT&T and Verizon). This property was so perfect that my husband and I began to discuss buying something similar down the road. 5 out of 5 stars! Thanks Mike!

Joanna’s house was a wonderful place to stay with our family. The view is amazing, even better than the pictures, we were content to just sit and relax looking out at the ocean for most of the time. The yard was great for our dog to run around in, and the nearby beach was really fun to explore as well. We hope to return soon!

Man, where to start! David's place was a dream. We've been visiting the Fort Bragg/Mendocino area for years and we never dreamed we'd find a place like David's. It isn't in the downtown area and that's a positive. You're free of the traffic and the noise. The land is peaceful, secluded, and FENCED IN!!! Our family dog, who always travels with us, was able to run and play freely without concern. There's a massive rosemary and basil bush outside and the whole front yard is a garden. :) The house is a perfect open floor plan and we were able to cook in the kitchen and have conversations with family in the living room. With a kiddo and a dog with us, having a washer and dryer was a life saver. The house gets warm quick and with the windows having screens, it gets cool quick too. The loudest noise we heard were the sounds of nature and they were welcomed. We will definitely be returning to the Northern California Coast and when we do, we'll be staying at David's place! We really enjoyed our stay in Mendocino at Tracy's! The ocean view from the living room, kitchen, and the primary bedroom made for a wonderful experience. The house was really clean and comfortable. Great kitchen to cook together with our family. Would recommend staying if you're looking for a beautiful Airbnb along the coast to relax with your family. We didn't have much cell service along the coast / the 1 so recommend pre-loading your check-in instructions!

This was our first visit to Mendocino and we will likely return again. We loved it here. The location of this rental is quiet and beautiful. While we did have to drive to get into any town - Mendocino ~10 mins, Caspar ~5 mins, For Bragg ~20 mins, and all of the parks, Russian Gulch, Jughandle (Caspar), Cabrillo Lighthouse, Van Dam and others in For Bragg are all close by. So many beautiful hikes and walks wit incredible views. And the food, great eating here. Plus a wonderful grocer in Mendocino. We loved Lauren’s place. In affront to its quiet location, and comfortably clean, there is a nice backyard, comfortable beds, games and reading material, books and magazines. And then there is the host, Lauren. She is a gem. Lauren was always in the read no matter what our question was. And then she went above and beyond when after we left and we were on our next leg of trip in SF and I could not find my passport. She was so very communicative and helpful. 5 stars!

It was a perfect place for a girls’ weekend with my long distance friend. The view was absolutely stunning and the place was clean and comfortable.

Wow, what a gorgeous space. We loved waking up to the towering redwoods and morning sun and stargazing at night. Six of us + a dog slept comfortably and Kira was nice enough to provide some extra bedding for us. The location is A+ with all of Philo/Boonville and the coast to explore. We will be back!

Our stay was great, Shannon was very responsive and let us check in a bit early which was much appreciated. The place was clean and restaurants are easy to walk to. The only drawback for us was that the kitchen did not have a Keurig coffee maker for that must have first cup of coffee in the morning. We did not use the french press coffeemaker which was provided, we chose to walk around the corner to Black Oak Coffee Roasters which has great coffee and pastries. We had a wonderful stay.

What a fantastic stay! We’ve been visiting Mendocino for years and can’t believe it took us so long to find Mary’s place. Superb location…super spacious and well equipped. Views couldn’t be any better and so convenient to the local shops and restaurants. Hope to stay there again.

The spotless and comfortable apartment and large deck were even better than the pictures in Deborah's listing. The mini split A/Cs were so welcome in summer in Ukiah. We've stayed in lots of AirBnBs, and Deborah's very thoughtful amenities in the kitchen and bathroom were among the best we've experienced. The peaceful and serene apartment and grounds provided exactly what these weary travelers needed after a long drive.

What an incredibly charming house. You get the entire spacious upper floor, which is well-appointed. A great location with ocean views, and Carolina has a stunning garden to top it all off.

A magical Mendocino stay. My family and I always enjoy our time in this cute seaside village. Delightful views and great location to explore the area and trails.

This is our 3rd time staying in one of Tatiana’s Airbnb’s & we will absolutely continue to book in the future. Easy check-in, great host communication, and location is perfect to be able to walk anywhere downtown Fort Bragg.

Easy check in and spotless! My son and I had a great stay! It was super close to restaurants and things to do. Highly recommend!

A great place for a family vacation. We had a single level property with a nice patio that lead to a huge grass common area and a play structure for the kids. Pool was also a short 1 minute walk, had a great hot tub, small wading pool for the kids, and a heated large pool. We spent almost all of our time there. Arcade games were also accessible in main lobby area. Room had AC and anything we needed to our own food. Grocery store was within 5 minute drive.

Terrific place. Attractive, super clean and comfortable and looked like the photos. It had a very pretty style and was well-maintained. Great location for walking downtown.

Our 3 night stay over Memorial weekend was delightful. We enjoyed the local restaurants and cooked in one night. We especially enjoyed the view from the living room and walking shower.

Great place with a short walk to the lake. The lobby has a pool table, arcade, etc. A flock of ducks roam around and comes up to the sliding glass door asking for bread which was pretty cool. Good place to stay!

We've stayed at this resort twice and it perfectly suits our needs. Suite is super clean. Kids LOVE the fantastic pool. Mom loves to jog on the lake and country roads in the morning. We had a bottom floor unit this time and we liked the porch area and bbq. Kids also played in the mini arcade for a bit and everyone appreciated the perfect AC. The strict 10:00am checkout takes some energy to accomplish as a family, but otherwise we feel this is the best place for our family to stay if we are in the Clear Lake area.

Family-oriented resort, with loads of amenities. Not much once you step off the property unless you drive into Lakeport.

The place is big enough for 5 to 6 people but I think there is a restriction. The bed in the living area can easily fit 2 and king bed can fit 3 people like us!! Very spacious kitchen and loving dining. Bonus was the laundry. Very helpful after a day in the pool…. Great stay!! Definitely will recommend!! If you want lake view you have to request earlier!! Just wanted to let you know!! That is what the resort told us!!

Such a great place. Next time we're in Clear Lake we will definitely stay again. The resort is beautiful with wonderful views and great amenities. Magalie was an excellent host. She communicated clearly and even checked on us to make sure we were doing well. We'll be back.
