Cottage vacation rentals in Medway

We came down here for my son's 22nd birthday. He has always wanted to visit Japan so when I saw this house, I really wanted to try it out and surprise him as it looks like a beautiful traditional Japanese country house. It was exactly that ! it was so beautiful and made with so much attention to details , so peaceful , with a beautiful Zen garden and wind chimes. You can see the care that Nam and his wife have put in creating this space. It was like an experience. We only stayed one night but we will definitely come back !

Our group of 7 friends and a dog had a lovely stay at the barn. We loved the social spaces, it was great that the garden is secure so Fergus was free to roam but also contained. The outdoor dining space is great to enjoy in the good weather and the indoor spaces are cosy. Loved the extra touches of fairy lights on and log burner lit on arrival, dressing gowns and slippers and plenty of towels was great. We had a day in nearby Whitstable, walked to a local pub for lunch another day. A great base. The only thing worth noting is that to get to the single beds you need to crawl so will only work for adults than can crawl. Very likely to return.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage, it was exactly as advertised and truly beautiful. We really enjoyed our time there, and the hot tub was a highlight, a perfect way to relax. As mentioned in the listing, the setting is quite open, so if you’re looking for complete privacy outdoors, that might be something to consider (also note the hot tub can’t be used past 8pm per house rules). It didn’t bother us at all, but worth noting for others. A couple of small things for future guests: 1. The hot tub switch is the big red one under the kitchen worktop on the left side, it would be helpful if this were labeled. 2. There is no Wi-Fi, even though it’s currently listed, not a big issue for us, but something to be aware of. 3. Towels are provided, but we’d suggest bringing a few extras, especially if you’re planning to use the hot tub often. Overall, we would absolutely recommend this place.

The cottage is beautiful, photos don't do it justice. Has everything you need. Log burner and hot tub made for a really relaxing stay. The views are wonderful. Local pub King's Arms serves excellent food nearby. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area.

This was an amazing property. It was very peaceful and beautiful! It was close enough to London driving but still in the countryside where it was relaxing and away from the busyiness. I would recommend this property to others!

A super relaxing stay at this lovely cottage. We visited nearby ightham mote and great comp garden. Graham was great in terms of checking that everything was all fine. Definitely would return.

We had a lovely stay! Our children enjoyed the secure garden space, which was also perfect for our dog. Everything in the house was clean and tidy, and well-thought-out. The kitchen is well-equipped and the beds were very comfortable. Thank you!

We had a family party nearby and stayed to be within easy distance of other family. We have stayed at Peter and Stella's before and would do so again. The garden is beautiful and the location peaceful. The house is within 7 minutes walking distance of Lenham, which is a picturesque and friendly village with a medieval centre. There are 2 pubs, a fish and chip shop, a chemist, post office and bakery. The house is fine for four people. It is comfortable and Peter and Stella live next door and are friendly and can help you have any questions.

We stayed at the annex for one night with our dog and it was perfect. A really cosy space, comfy bed and great for parking the car directly outside. The pub over the road was also lovely for a drink in the evening sunshine. Thank you Alex and Philippa 😊

Lovely little place! Gorgeous walk through woods on your doorstep, dog friendly, and lovely bedroom and bathroom! Nice garden area too, and parking right outside. There’s no oven or hob but the listing does explain that!

The Stable is located in a quiet side street a few minutes walk from the town centre. Beautifully furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Easily one of the nicest accommodations we've stayed in over the years.

We would like to say a big thank you. We had a fantastic weekend stay at this property. The garden was 100% safe for our dog and we found it nice and quiet, surrounded by nature and orchards. Mark had left lots of leaflets showing what's going on in the area, and was very kind to recommend places to visit and eat/drink. The accommodation was designed and decorated with alot of thought and attention to detail, to establish a very comfortable stay. We will certainly be visiting again.

A great stay in a charming little cottage in the centre of Cobham. Welcoming and cosy, it immediately felt like home. Location was fantastic with 3 pubs close by and a quirky little local store for most essentials. Cobham boasts beautiful countryside so we enjoyed some nice walks with the dog. All in all a relaxing couple of days in a perfect little cottage. Would love to return at some point!

Lovely place to stay for a week whilst visiting family who live locally. There are lots of over places to visit all within easy travel distance from the cottage. The Cottage was very cosy and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The views from the cottage over the Thames are amazing and a great way to start the morning by relaxing and enjoying a coffee. The kids enjoyed the games room and been able to play football on the field. Communication and instructions from the host was excellent throughout the week. We will definitely be back.

Julie is such a friendly and professional host. The accommodation was as described and suited our reasons for being in Chatham. Very comfortable. Excellent bed. Slept so well. Highly recommend.

The Old Tuck Shop is a fabulous place to stay. It's a charming piece of history that has been well maintained and is spotless inside. We found it really convenient for accessing everything we needed in Rochester (and nearby Chatham) on foot. The High Street with a range of shops and restaurants is a 5 minute walk away, along with the beautiful Cathedral and Castle. The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood and I would recommend it to anyone needing a base in Rochester. Note, the bedrooms are light and there is single glazing, so although I found it quiet at nights, light sleepers might benefit from an eye mask and ear plugs.

This cozy little property was exactly as described, and is tucked away in the most beautiful surrounds. Our lovely host, Laura, was easy to communicate with and made us feel right at home. The only down-side is the hum from the motorway (depending on the wind’s direction), but that can be easily drowned out by the jets from the private hot tub! ;) All in all, Point Lodge is a perfect escape from the world! I’ll definitely be returning!
