Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Meares Island

Jay’s place was great! Beautiful setting in the forest. Loved the outdoor space and the some toys onsite was a nice touch for the kids. Would definitely recommend!

The Goose Barnacle was just wonderful. It is a perfect place to stay in Tofino. Easy access to everything nearby. It was clean, quiet and had everything you might need for your stay. Alex was great host! Would definitely stay here again if I ever get back to Tofino!

The pictures do not do this place justice. It is absolutely magical, in the perfect location, perched in the mountains yet right in the heart of town, with everything you could need. Highlights are the balcony with absolutely breathtaking views and an outdoor shower with these same views. Could not have asked for a better place to stay.

Norma's House was very comfortable, eclectic, and had a warm atmosphere. The main floor is very large with a big kitchen, and lots of space and seating in the living room. I also loved the large "mudroom/laundry room" at the back of the main floor which had loads of storage for all our food and coolers that we brought. The yard is very private with lots of seating on the deck. It is no longer a "4 min walk" to Cox Bay as the secret trail is no longer, but it is only a 10 min walk if you go down the driveway to Pacific Sands resort which also has lovely outdoor coffee shop that we enjoyed. It is also only a 5 minute drive to South Chesterman beach which we enjoyed. Also - there is not 3 bedrooms as advertised - there are 2 bedrooms and a landing upstairs. So the 3rd bed on the landing has really no privacy which should be mentioned. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and Tofino is always a pleasure.

10/10 would escape reality here again. We soaked in the hot tub like blissed-out sea otters, roasted s’mores like it was a competitive sport, and devoured a 3-course meal that somehow nailed it for both a carnivore and a vegan. Great Wi-Fi, so we could post it all in real-time while pretending to unplug. Pure magic. Highly recommend.

Great stay, great place, great host. Everything as described or better. Place was very nice and comfortable for 4 adults and 2 kids. Beach access right across the street, close to town, but also removed enough to give it a secluded and relaxing vibe. Outdoor shower was great to rinse off the kids (and adults) after the beach then jump into the sauna to dry off. EV charging was also a big plus for our Nissan Ariya and Tesla. Looking forward to returning when we get a chance.

We really enjoyed our stay at Emily’s place in Tofino. It’s a fabulous, open space and ideal for 2 couples. We found it very easy to find and only a short 10 / 12 minute walk from central Tofino and Tonquin Beach. House was fully equipped, clean and tidy. The beds super comfy and pleasingly cosy. It’s a super quiet area and even though a long term tenant lives below there were no noise disturbances at all. Parking is easy.

We had a fantastic stay at Erika and Marty’s home! The house is perfectly located—just a short walk to downtown, the beach, great restaurants, and bars. It’s also very well equipped with everything we needed, and the cozy atmosphere truly made us feel at home. Erika and Marty were wonderful hosts, and we’d definitely love to come back and enjoy more of what Tofino has to offer. Highly recommend!

This is truly one of the best places I’ve ever stayed! The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and made us feel completely at home. The location was quiet. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. So happy to have found Heather and Dan’s spot - it was the perfect place for our 4 nt stay in the Ucluelet/Tofino area! The space was comfortable, clean, cozy, and well appointed and thoughtfully designed. It’s a quick bike ride or drive to Ucluelet, and a nice 15ish minute walk to the Ucluelet Lighthouse Loop trail. Gorgeous spot just a minutes away from Mackenzie beach. The unit was huge, comfy, cozy and peaceful. It was great!

How often do you get to stay at an art gallery? We loved Pete’s place, and feel very fortunate to have been able to stay here. The location was quiet and safe, with easy access to the main town. This may sound odd, but I appreciated the lack of chemical scents in the apartment. The Tofino forest provides lots of amazing smells, so artificial air perfumes for “air fresheners” really aren’t needed. 😃 We look forward to returning!

Thank you ver much for accepting our last minute booking. Cozy studio apartment and close to the town and beaches. We cooked dinner on the kitchenette and we slept comfortably.

Such a great stay! It was honestly better than I expected - and I knew from all the reviews it would be good! The kitchen was fully stocked with spices, oils, small appliances, pans, bbq, lots of dishes and cutlery - which was perfect because we prepared most of our meals there. The place was spotless and smelled amazing when we arrived. The beds and couch were comfortable, and there was lots of extra pillows and blankets. The big bath tub was really nice to have for our toddler to take a bath every night. And the heated bathroom floors were such a nice touch! Host was responsive and helpful (we ran out of propane the first night on the bbq but she had an extra one waiting and ready!) The location was perfect, a short walk to Chesterman beach. It was a quiet location, close to town but we felt like we were tucked away up in the trees. Planning our next trip so we can stay again :)

Ee enjoyed our stay, the condo is in a great location close to restaurants, groceries and amenities. The loft had everything we needed for our 3 day stay. Ucluelet has great walking trails and is a lovely town.

Everything was just perfect, great location in Ucluelet, the apartment was super cozy, clean and provided beyond everything we needed. Check in and the communication with Rino were easy, he was an amazing host. I highly recommend Tom's Retreat!

Beautiful and walkable. Love this location and was able to share with aging parents, sister and hubby. So spacious and well equipped. Will be back.

We loved our stay here. The place was beautiful and was a fantastic location - close to the centre of Tofino but on the water with beautiful views! Kyle was super helpful and very responsive if we had any questions! Couldn’t recommend more!

Beautiful location on the marina. Loved sitting on the balcony watching the activity on the boats and the wildlife. (Deer were outside early one morning). Very clean, spacious home, with well stocked kitchen supplies and kitchen amenities. All the shops and stores in Ucluelet were walkable from this locale. Loved the Ucluelet Brewery, Pina store, and had a great morning out on the water whale watching. Our own 2 cents for what it's worth. Tofino is a great place to visit for the day, to beach, surf, etc, but Ucluelet is a better place to stay and wander the town.

I would absolutely stay here again. The beds were very comfortable, and the view was stunning. The hosts were extremely responsive and proactive, checking in to ensure everything was going smoothly and that we had everything we needed. They clearly know what they’re doing in the hospitality business!

This place was spectacular from the moment we walked in. The view alone was worth the money. There was plenty of space and it was walking distance to some beautiful hikes as well as the town of Ucluelet. Mark was flexible and easy to work with. He answered everything in a timely manner which made our experience even better.

We stayed at Marie place and it was just fab, exactly as the photos show and spotless . There were lots of eagles flying overhead all weekend and was a joy to sit and look at them . Marie was very easy to deal with and we would love to go back again some day , 10/10
