This house was renovated in 1991 using the beams of a thatched roof house.Why don't you spend a relaxing time in the living room of the plaster wall and the Japanese-style room of 8 tatami mats and 10 tatami mats as if you went home to the countryside with your family and friends? Looking up at Mt. Asama, the wide sky is filled with tumblers, the Ushida Space Observatory is nearby, and the air is beautiful. Starting with "Fuse Onsen" and "Kasuga Onsen", there are several hot springs if you use a car. You can also go to Karuizawa, Mt. Nobe and Kiyosato in a small hour by car, so you can climb to Mt. Yatsugatake and trek to Saku Kogen National Quasi-Park. It is a rice spot comparable to Niigata, local sake made with a thousand songs of water poured from Mt. Yatsugatake and Mt. Asama. There are "Pinkojizo", "Sueno Castle Toes" and "Nakajima Park" on the walking course. There is also a large supermarket "Tsuruya" in 15 minutes on foot, and a roadside station "Healthy Terrace Sakunami" in front of the Saku Minami IC, so you can enjoy local ingredients using home cooking utensils and seasonings. A log house surrounded by greenery, with a view of the Yatsugatake Mountains from the terrace. Fujimi Panorama Resort is a 5-minute drive. Skiing and snowboarding in the winter. In the summer, you can enjoy mountain climbing and mountain biking at Mt. Irusaka, where the flowers are in full bloom. Fujimi Kogen Resort is a 15-minute drive. The accommodation is perfect for families with children. It is very quiet because there are no houses around, and in the morning, the sound of small birds is lively. It is a distance from the station and supermarket, and a car is necessary. Be sure to have winter tires and chains in the winter. Please note that there is no air conditioner. There is a fan. The bedding is not a bed but a futon. Additional charges apply for 5 or more people, but up to 8 people can stay. Of the additional guests, children 2 years old and younger are free. This house is located right below Japanese alps, where you can enjoy outdoor in mountains, rivers and lakes throughout four seasons. We moved to this area from Tokyo because this area is not commercialized, but intact from urbanization. So if you are looking for something different than usual sightseeing, here could be the place to visit. This house used to be a ski ryokan, and we renovated it by ourselves with abandoned and local materials to maintain nice and old Japanese architectural taste.
