Family-friendly vacation rentals in Matrei in Osttirol

Chalet of dreams! We had the most perfect stay at Lina’s place and it exceeded all expectations. Pristinely presented and amazing facilities. Only 15 mins drive to Kitzbuhl for skiing and it was then the perfect place to unwind with friends for a relaxing evening. Hot tub/pool/sauna were all amazing and such a joy to use after a day out. The chalet has everything you need and more and Lina is incredibly hospitable and thoughtful. Highly recommend to stay here, we loved it and really hope to come back at some point

We loved the house, beautifully furnished, all bedrooms perfect with good beds, high quality furniture, lovely living/eating space with cozy couch, well equipped kitchen. The house is modern and to the highest standard, very beautiful! The views on the Dolomite mountains are spectacular, nice terrace with bbq facing the special view and little garden behind the house w a jacuzzi !!! The hosts are super helpful and friendly (Claudine) and check-in and check-out was uncomplicated and professional. Two things which we had not anticipated was that the house is very much fitted into the center of the village (practical with super market across the street) and therefore sometimes a bit noisy from the road. The pool is across the street and part of a bigger apartment complex, so it is not private but quite busy and loud. Everything else was perfect! We would definitely come again, it is a beautiful place.

The place is beautiful! Great location and great chalet. Everything was really great. The only thing that irritated us a little was the check in and out times. Check-in is only from 4 pm.. whereby we could only arrive later due to work anyway, but check out 10 o'clock, is quite sporty.. Had this, not really on the screen and slept, then I contacted the host and explained that we slept in and would only check out around 10:30. 10:25 a man knocks on and goes to the chalet to clean the hot tub without further words. No hello or goodbye. Of course, you would have to pay attention to the times yourself when booking, which has gone down with us. Nevertheless, everything else was great and I can definitely recommend the place!

We rented Arthur's two large apartments with a total of 4 couples (2 kids). We had a great week! The apartments are very spacious and because each couple has their own bathroom, there was a lot of privacy! Also enough space in both apartments to dine/sit together with everyone. Walking distance to the slopes (tow lift Nives). There is storage space with heated elements for ski boots in the garage, but we chose to keep our belongings in the depot next to the ski lift. Within walking distance of the village, supermarket, restaurants, and so on. One of the bathrooms has been recently renovated, the photos show an old bathroom with bathtub, but this is now a very nice new bathroom. Arthur is a very friendly host, he is very responsive and very helpful. In short, we had a great week and booked again for next year!

We had a wonderful week. The cottage run by Maikel and Britt is beautiful and very well located in a mid-mountain setting (1350 m) located at the foot of the Hochkönig in a bucolic and relaxing setting. Maikel and Britt are very welcoming and friendly, always available for good advice. The cottage is very clean, spacious, well-equipped and tastefully decorated. The sauna is very useful after a good walk. The village of Mühlbarch am Hochkönig is located 5 km down in a small valley in the center of many hikes and also a family ski resort. We recommend it.

We had a wonderful two-night stay and wished we could stay longer! The host was nice and quick to respond. The apartment was super clean, cozy, and had an amazing rustic design that made it feel warm and special. It had everything we needed, and the location was perfect. We felt right at home and would love to stay there again!

Wow, wow, wow this place is so beautiful and magical. Views of the Dolomites straight out your window. Beautifully appointed cabin with everything you need. The spa and saunas are fantastic after a day of exploring this incredibly gorgeous part of our planet. Ilaria is the most welcoming host even offering fresh eggs and locally made cheese. This portion of our Italian holiday will remain etched in our memories forever.

We absolutely enjoyed the apartment with our two children (2 and 5). It is absolutely clean, child-friendly, and really has everything you could need. Especially the connection to the Falkensteiner Cristallo was great for us - there we could use the pools and children's pools and the children's program. Just perfect for families We definitely want to come back.

This place is beautiful, in the middle of a meadow, on the edge of a beautiful forest and with views of the mountains. We were able to show the farm animals to our daughter. In the large garden there are tables, loungers and even children's games. Thank you very much Marlène for hosting us!

We enjoyed the time out in Manfred's accommodation very much. If you want to spend a few more original days, which are no less relaxing, this is the place. Even the travel crib for our toddler fit in the bedroom. Manfred has modified the hut to offer the greatest possible "comfort" that is possible there. We would like to come back:).

We had a wonderful stay! Sabine was an excellent host—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. The house is beautiful, with a peaceful water stream, Dolomite views and cozy seating areas on every balcony. We also loved spending time with the adorable cat and the friendly dog. A truly charming place in Nova Ponente!

We had a very nice vacation in Elfriede's apartment. The apartment was very nice, everything tip-top and clean, everything you need was there. There was also a very nice large terrace. There is a small supermarket, a village café, a restaurant by the lake where you can eat well. Everything is easily accessible. Our dog also felt very comfortable. The two nights following our Italian holiday brought an incredible amount of peace and quiet. An absolutely relaxed, helpful and super nice host who was able to take care of a lot of our worries and we could just enjoy ourselves, even the dog relaxed, like never before in a foreign environment :) clearly - we will be back! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the short but relaxing break!

We stayed a short week in Sven's house. It is even more spacious, more atmospheric and tastefully decorated than in the photos. A very spacious living room and spacious bedrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bathroom is spacious and beautiful. The whole house is clean and tidy. The garden is not spacious but sufficiently large. You can enjoy the bird sounds. Enjoy the sun or sit cool in the shade. Sven's dog is very sweet and likes to say hello. That also applies to Caesar, the neighbor's friendly dog who likes to walk with you or stop by for a pat on the head. There is some activity on the farm next door. Certainly not all day. Wasn't disturbing to us either. We immediately felt comfortable, thanks in part to Sven's kindness!

The accommodation is cute, very pleasant, well equipped with in addition to what to occupy on rainy days (books, board games...) without counting the additional activities available (swimming pool, sauna, solarium, fitness, children's playroom, ping pong table). In addition, it is conveniently located at the crossroads of cities such as Munich, Salzburg and Innsbruck. Oberaudorf alone is worth the trip and especially since Tyrol is within reach to vary the excursions. We highly recommend this listing for a relaxing stay in Germany. It was a little piece of paradise.

The stay was very calm and peaceful surroundings. You just hear the sound of birds and mountains look like they also sleep in the night and you get up in the morning with fresh air from Nature. 100% Recommended.

Christiane was so accommodating. The are of Abtenau was beautiful and peaceful. She was very communicative even though we didn’t tell her we were going to be late checking in.

Francesca was a delightful host. We enjoyed talking with her when we checked in and she made our entire stay easy and enjoyable. The apartment was perfect for us. It had all of the necessities and is located right in the center of town. Francesca also made some restaurant recommendations.

Katrin's place is great for a getaway. She made us feel right at home quickly and provided lots of recommendations in the area. We will have to visit again as there were so many nice things to do. The house was cosy and the outdoor space was great to relax.

We were guests at Maria and Josef's for an extended hiking weekend. I can only agree with the previous reviews - we had a wonderful AirBnB experience in the best sense, as it was originally intended! You live on the upper floor of the detached house - enough privacy, but also "family connection"! Maria and Josef have a big heart, are very friendly, open and helpful and gave us great tips for our hikes. The rooms are spacious, super clean, furnished in a traditional style, you have a great view everywhere, the balcony offers space to eat. The location is very quiet and surrounded by nature, yet you can reach the village for shopping or the highway in a few minutes by car and can also reach more distant destinations quickly. There is a lot to explore in the area, from easy walks to challenging summit tours! We felt immediately comfortable and welcome and would come back without hesitation!

Warm welcome by Ms. Noessing. The apartment is exactly as described and represented in the photos. Peaceful location, beautiful view of the mountains, very well-kept garden and surroundings. The kitchen is well equipped. We arrived by car and did extensive hiking tours on the Seiseralm and adjacent villages. Tourist card was not available but no problem for us. We'd love to come back anytime.
