This house is amazing. Breakfast while overlooking the horse pasture, dinner out on the back deck. Everything in the house was spotless! The shower was so great. It had good water pressure! The beds were so comfy, I got the best sleep here. Better than I've gotten in a long time! The pool was clean. My kids enjoyed it, even though it was chilly out! They also enjoyed the games in the garage. My kids loved the popcorn machine, what a fun touch! The location is perfect. It's out in the country, but close enough to other towns that a run to the store doesn't take all day. It's very close to several Rend Lake Day Use Areas, which makes going out fun and easy! 10/10 Will stay again.

Loved staying at this location. So close to restaurants and shops and outdoor adventures. Very quiet. Amazing views of stars. Plenty of sleeping spaces. Very responsive and helpful host!

It was well worth the $! I had an amaziiiiing weekend! It’s absolutely beautiful- inside and out! The pool was SUCH a good time, I could’ve stayed in it for days! We grilled out and swam, it’s an unbelievably fun & peaceful experience. The host was extremely responsive, helpful and checked in making sure we had everything the whole stay. I would recommend it for sure! If I could give it 6 stars I would! I will definitely be staying here again!!!

We chose to take this trip for our daughters birthday weekend a perfect setting to get away and have the option to camp, fish, swim and able to relax around a peaceful fire while eating smores. The camper had everything we needed very nice and spacious. The beds were very comfy. The area was nice and quiet. We caught fish from the dock. The family was welcoming to the pool area. And cant forget the friendly Pugley. He was for sure a bonus he loves to play fetch.

We stayed at Cassi’s for the 2024 eclipse. The location was so peaceful. We brought our 32’ camper and she said “go anywhere in the back” so we set up in view of the pond. There were 8 others guests in tents. They were all so friendly. The kids loved playing with the dogs and kept talking about Aero and Zep all day after left. (I just realized that those dogs are probably named after Aerosmith and Led Zeppelin) Next time there’s an eclipse that cuts across Cassi’s yard you should definitely stay here! Or if you just want a nice place that’s not far from home.

What a great place. We used it for graduation at SIU (a little more than 30 mins away). Super clean and well appointed. Jen was amazing communicating the entire time. We would absolutely stay here again.

I absolutely LOVED my stay here. The host were extremely helpful we had a bit of a hiccup with my account being hacked and we were able to work right through it together. The area was so beautiful and just 20 minutes away there is a nice little city that is easily accessible full of restaurants, grocery stores and anything else you may need. Not only that but the hiking trails near by are incredible almost reminded me of being home in Colorado. The only thing I wish is that I stayed longer! I will be back for a much longer stay.

Fantastic week staying in this cabin in the Shawnee National Forest. Great location for quickly getting to various highlights in the region. The log cabin is outfitted very well with Native American decor and has a great kitchen and outdoor grill with a Kroger less than 10 minutes away. The hot tub and fire pit were great for unwinding at night. We look forward to returning for more hikes and vineyards in the area in the fall and would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay at Kevin’s place. The home was spotless, comfy and private. We especially enjoyed rocking on the front porch with our evening wine, and the little songbird who visited the wreath on the front door each early evening and serenaded us with a beautiful song. The last night of our stay we enjoyed a deep sleep thanks to the sound of the rain on the metal roof. Close to hiking and wineries. Recommend you visit and stay at Kevin’s!

Kris was an awesome host. We loved having access to the lake. Southern IL is a remote and peaceful place. We went to state parks and wineries during the week. We loved our stay.

We've stayed at several places on Lake of Egypt and this was one of the best! Very spacious, great location, very well stocked! Some Airbnbs don't provide enough of the basics like toilet paper, but this home was very well stocked with more than we could have hoped for (even body wash, shampoo and conditioner, if needed). Great view and easy access by car or boat.

Laura was absolutely amazing during our stay. Owl's Nest is cozy and welcoming with a great fenced in yard for dogs! Everything was clean and tidy with lots of amenities. We really appreciated the snack basket after a long drive and loved that dog treats were included as well. It did rain before we got there so the mosquitos were out. Bring bug spray if you plan on going hiking in the beautiful parks around the property!

Kevin’s place was PERFECT!! Super cozy & CLEAN! Our family loved the peaceful, secluded location. Kevin quickly responded any time I had a question and gave us several good recommendations. Our pups felt right at home too. We look forward to staying here again!

David was clear and prompt in communication. The house provided us with all the essentials plus an array of coffee options. It was great to relax and feel disconnected .

The Airbnb was cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Being so close to the lake was a huge bonus. The host was responsive and thoughtful, making the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!
