Beach house vacation rentals in Malindi

Our stay at Villa Mkauju was absolutely fantastic! The villa is stunning, offering tranquility and comfort. A big thank you to the wonderful staff who were incredibly attentive and made us feel at home. Special thanks to the owner for maintaining such a beautiful property. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a luxury getaway in Malindi. Can't wait to return!

This place is definitely worth your time looking at. I thought I’d miss being right at the beach, but honestly, we looked forward to coming ‘home’ to Joseph and David and the calm, quiet, cool of Ruby House. We spent time reading, playing games, reconnecting and resting, as well as swimming and bobbing in the creek - listening and watching birds. It is so peaceful - chatting with fishermen, and just taking in the surroundings. We went for a few day trips- the Gede ruins are well worth an hour of your time, sand dunes north of malindi were great. And we LOVED Garoda Beach - much less seaweed and less busy. I could not speak more highly of the staff - they were present but not, flexible, understanding and really wanted to help make your time enjoyable. The rooms were so comfortable. I think it may be a little hot in the very hot month, but it gets a lovely breeze and there is always the one room to escape into for an afternoon nap if necessary - but we didn’t need to do this. Joanna’s place was amazing. My daughter with 6 friends went there and Joanna was very supportive and welcoming. The house is large, breezy, in great conditions, with large en suite rooms. The girls had a cook who helped prepare breakfast and dinner for a very reasonable prize , the pool was cleaned daily and the place was excellent for groups of families or friends. I would highly recommend and we will definitely go back !

WOW!! What a fabulous trip had by all!! 8 adults and 1 baby stayed for 10 nights at Shuma house. We had an incredible trip. Shuma is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful, you really feel at one with nature here!. Shuma house itself is stunning, plenty of space for everyone, all the rooms are quirky, spacious and full of personality. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating, and all work incredibly hard to ensure we are well fed and looked after. Martin, Shumas chef cooked us the most delicious meals night after night! Lots of choice and flexibility with meal choices/timings/allergies etc. Robert was amazing and tended to our every need, especially our daughter Elkies needs! Thank you all so much for making our trip to Shuma House absolutely fabulous! It was an emotional goodbye, but it certainly wont be the last!! We will be back!! Thank you! 🤩

This is our 5th visit to The Beach House. We keep coming back for a bunch of reasons. Rehema, Ali and the rest of the staff are the best. The location right on the water with perfect views is unbeatable. Communication with Rory is consistently great. The top porch is some of my favorite square footage on the planet. And … have I mentioned how terrific Rehema is?

This is a wonderful home and we had a fabulous time. We came as 2 families of 4 (from London) + grandparents (from Nairobi) - so 10 of us in total. The house is beautiful - very charming and comfortable - and spills out onto the beach (via a private gated entrance). The kids loved playing in the small private pool and having daily walks out onto the reef in low-tide. The stretch of coastline the house is on is idyllic - about 20 min drive from Watamu town. The chef and staff are very attentive. We're all vegetarian and they handled that pretty well (though naturally they're more accustomed to a meat/seafood menu). As a family/group holiday venue, this is highly recommended.

Emma's house was beautiful. so many places to sit and have great views, lovely coastal forest path to the beach which was not too busy. we were so well looked after by Saidi, Mariam and Ngumbaos. Highly recommended

In the heat of Watamu, the garden is a jewel and the pool in the middle is a must! We really enjoyed our stay at Jeremy and Laura's cottage with our 2 little ones (6 months and 2 years). The house itself is vintage with optional air conditioned at night. It can be really hot during the day so the pool is just a perfect option to refresh yourselves (it's shaded until 11am and from 4pm). Daniel, the house manager, was always willing to help and discreet, though he is working around the house on the plot all day from 8 to 5pm. He was even in capacity to help us find a young lady to supervise our babies so that we could enjoy our evenings out. Apart from the pool and the sublime garden, one other great added values of the cottage is definitely its location (very central) as there are many very good restaurant options at tuktuk distance - Jeremy shall share lots of tips prior to your arrival! I think we tried all of them ;)

My stay here was lovely. The staff were always responsive and so kind. The apartment was gorgeous and wonderful. Had a slight snag with power but they quickly responded to it which adds to the great customer service they had.

Adrienne's house is perfect for a stay with friends or family. Conveniently located near Garoda beach, with direct access to the beach. (5min walking distance) The house is beautiful, with well-organized and practical indoor and outdoor spaces. The pool is great ! Each bedroom has air conditioning, a ceiling fan, and a private bathroom.

Daniele's place was a wonderful and memorable experience for us. The staff members are super friendly, thumbs up to the security guard ;Tete and Michael. The cleaners Jacky and Amina, they are very friendly and helpful. Daniele's place was very clean and free of clutter. Many places to have activities and are all so close to each other. We will definitely come.

Loved our stay! Very responsive and lovely hosts. Great location and very safe with around the clock security. Ann was very accommodating and we will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful experience at Geoffrey's Airbnb. The location is perfect-centrally situated, making it incredibly easy to access all the places we planned to visit in Watamu. Check-in was a breeze, and Geoffrey was an excellent host, always avallable to help and quick to respond to any questions we had. The added perks of the on-site restaurant and pool made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend staying here for a relaxed and convenient trip!

Me and my family had a great stay, Caroline property is absolutely amazing and I will definitely be back again, we felt right at home.

Really, really close to the best part of Watamu beach. Can't beat the location. It is adjacent to a hotel so you can also take advantage of what they have to offer.

Farida's place is amazing! This will be my new go-to place in Malindi. It's very beautiful, the grounds have the most beautiful flowers and the pool is lovely. Everything was perfect about this place including the fact that it's a 2 minute walk to the beach. The most amazing part of the trip was the absolute fabulous chef Patrick and the housekeeper Kanze. They spoilt us and we loved it! We look forward to coming back.

Agnes was the most amazing host anyone could ask for. She gave us great tips on where to eat and what to do in the surrounding area. She even went out of her way to post my passport back to me after I left it there (an absolute life saver!!) Her house is lovely and spacious and 2 minutes from the beach. The beds are all super comfy and all come with mozzie nets. There was some shortage of water, but she provided us with plenty of bottles of mineral water. I would definitely recommend Agnes’ place ❤️❤️

Beautiful Villa, very clean immersed in a fantastic garden cared for in every detail, the pool is very clean and always ready. Sergio was always active and gave us all the instructions to get there and for all the questions asked. The Villa is inside a very safe community gate with 24/7 security staff. In Malindi he suggested a very nice beach club and given directions to restaurants, I suggest this beautiful Villa and we will definitely be back soon and for longer with friends! Thanks for everything and see you soon!!

This place was great! Loved the privacy, cleanliness, and location. Easy access to the main road and getting into town. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to a friend!!

Exceptional five star experience from the initial contact till the check out.... Jacob was a super helpful from Sun rise to Sun set, Kevin was on point through out our visit .... And we will come back to that peaceful oasis of true relaxation
