Family-friendly vacation rentals in Makahuena Point

Veronica’s condo was exactly what we needed to enjoy our Honeymoon in Kauai! The location was our favorite aspect, you could get to each side of the island within an hour and we did so many activities that the location was perfect. The condo itself is exactly as described and the pool and grounds are beautiful. The sunrises from the beach right out front are gorgeous and we really enjoyed all the chickens running around. We would absolutely stay with Veronica again in Kauai.

The condo is in a great location. We enjoyed being able to walk to the beach, restaurants and such. Such a beautiful area to stay. The condo could use a little deep cleaning but I realize the housekeeper has limited amount of time between guests.

We loved our week spent here! It is the perfect size for a couple and has everything you need to enjoy a week on Kauai. Host was very responsive and proactive about informing us of all the details we needed to know about our stay. Would definitely recommend staying here, we’ll be back for sure!

this is a great, modern, roomy, well equipped condo. the only negative thing we have is that the bedroom is close to a busy road so if you are a light sleeper or sensitive to noise you will probably not get a good nights sleep. we used ear plugs which helped.

We enjoyed our stay at the condo everything was clean and in fantastic condition. I would definitely recommend a stay here. Family of six and there was plenty of room for everyone. Thank you so much for the great communication and a beautiful safe place for a family vacation. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! Everything was exactly as described in the listing—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. The space was perfect for me and my wife to relax and enjoy our time in Hawaii. It’s located in one of the best areas of Kauai—Princeville—which made it even more special. We felt right at home and appreciated all the small touches that made our stay so easy and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained getaway!

The condo is in great location, nice clean beautiful garden, pool and beach. The walk along the beach to Hyatt and to Poipu beach are nice and great landscaping along the way. Only one thing that caught me unexpected is that I have to pay additional hotel fees for the front desk at check in ($1xx.xx) even though I thought I paid everything via airbnb site already. I should have asked Gordon about that, but I was in a rush and a hundred something for 7 nights is not too big so I was like... ok... and paid.

Annie and Greg, had amazing communication from prior to our stay until after our stay. They were very friendly and kind, answered any questions that we had, as well as responding very swiftly to things. There home was gorgeous, it had all the amenities you would need. If you needed anything else the grocery store was just up the street a quick walk or drive would it. My husband and I love staying in princeville when we go to kauai. We would absolutely stay here again, we loved their home. It was very clean and cozy. Even without AC the fans worked great and they also had an additional fan if you required extra air. the balcony had a great view too. We do wish we used the pool sooner it was so warm. You can walk down to the beach area or a quick drive. Annie and Greg make you feel so comfortable and offer amazing tips for your stay to be smooth. There was a power outage the moment we got there so things were a little confusing. Cleaning people arrived shortly after we communicated with Annie and we found out the whole area was without power. We went to Foodland, only 5 minutes away, to see if we could pick up any groceries there and then power came back on. So we were able to grab some snacks and dinner. Then get officially checked in. Annie was very responsive and let us know what was going on a best as she could. We were very comfortable there. Slept well. Listening to the rain showers or birds chirping. Highly recommend.

Our stay at Liuni's place was incredible! We rented a couple houses in the neighborhood for our group, and could not be happier with Luini's home and her and Tanya's support throughout our stay. Communication was amazing, the house was incredibly clean, amazing location, and had everything we needed. It's in the neighborhood of Queens Bath which is a must-see in Kauai and makes it SO easy because parking is not always accessible for that trail, but we could just walk to it! I highly recommend staying here. It is absolutely worth the price and was so nice to be able to sleep our group of 7. I am so grateful for this experience and Liuni and Tanya's kindness and flexibility with our group.

It’s easy to see why Cash is a Super host! His Princeville home is a fabulous place to visit. From the moment we walked in the door, we couldn’t believe our eyes! His view of the Pacific is awe inspiring! Much of our time was spent on the veranda. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner alfresco! His kitchen is fully stocked with items to easily prepare meals. The ac bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were great! It was as if he has 2 master bedrooms. Great for couples or families! Having beach equipment was very convenient. We even used his provided cooler for picnic lunches on the beach like Cash suggested. Truth be told on check-out day, we didn’t want to leave! Heaven on Earth!

Absolutely would stay at Jessica’s listing again. Fantastic host! She dropped off a fresh batch of beach towels for us without even us asking. Great host great location! 10/10 would recommend you won’t be disappointed.

We definitely loved this spot and was a great place to stay. They had everything you need in kitchen and plenty of fans to help keep the place cool. We loved waking up to the view and sitting on the patio with the ocean sounds. We would love to stay here again!

Tiana was a wonderful host and the home was perfect for our family's visit to Kauai! She was quick to respond to any questions we had and we even got to visit with her during the week when she brought us some fruit grown by her family! Great recommendations on different area beaches and activities. Loved the home, the spacious gathering places, A/C when needed (but not needed much!), and the location within walking distance of a number of beaches, which was perfect for us. Very clean. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. The boogie boards and beach equipment was super helpful (used every day!). Will definitely stay here again when we return (hopefully soon!).

What a wonderful stay! The condo was very spacious and clean. I have never seen a rental with such a well-equipped kitchen. Complete set of pans, rice cooker, pressure cooker, and so much more. The host was very responsive and friendly. There were local-made pastries and coffee waiting for us. It was greatly appreciated after a long day of travel. The location was perfect. The location was walkable to beaches. Great ocean view from the condo and patio. Reserved parking. This place is a gem. Don’t hesitate to book!

Great location, great room. We were in a renovated building. Very clean and modern. Nice setup for 2 couples or a family. Very friendly staff. Will definitely book again.

Ours was a lady minute booking and we appreciated the quick response. Located on the sunny side of the island.

Nice home, great for our family of 6. Each bedroom was the same size as the master, each with similar bathrooms which were big and spacious. Great home. Slightly older furniture but in good condition. Pool was nice and enjoyed having a hot tub. Would stay here again. Also is a very good location for poipu, on a golf course and neighborhood is great for walking and biking.

This location was perfect for how much you could walk to. Resort is quiet and friendly. Steve was very responsive. When questions arose throughout our stay. I would come back again. The cleanliness of the apartment was impressive. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of outdoor space and indoor space for two adults and two kids.
