Vacation rentals with a washer and dryer in Makahuena Point

We wanted a space in the middle of Kauai with nearby beach, restaurants, and only 90 minute drive as far as you can go to either the Tunnels Beach or Polihale. We mostly traveled to the less touristy beaches during the day and spent the evenings swinging on the porch swings looking at the beach between the AirBNB and the Hyatt each evening. Great space for 2 with separate bedroom and living room for couples that get up at 2 different times and a washer dryer so we could bring clean clothes home. Great kitchen with all the upgraded supplies. 2 walkable coffee shops and restaurants less than a mile away. We stayed at the Four Seasons Maui the week before and although we really, really enjoyed the understated luxury, we liked Kauai and this space better. Thanks for a great week!

We’ve stayed in Baby’s Beach area and Koloa before but never at Kuhio Shores. We really enjoyed location and the unit! The stove wasn’t working properly so that was a bummer as it disrupted a couple meals we planned to make but they were very responsive and came to unit to assess situation. We would stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at Jim’s place. The condo had everything we needed and all that you’d need to have a great beach day (snorkels, umbrella, chairs, towels, etc). Easy check in and free parking. The facility across the road for a pool, outdoor gym, etc., was a nice touch and something we enjoyed utilizing. 10 min walk to the beach and a cute area for dinner, we recommend Keoki’s paradise for drinks. A 5 minute walk to a great breakfast cafe, little fish. Overall we would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing stay, the pictures don’t do it justice. My girlfriend and I stayed for the week and the location is just perfect you can leave your car and walk everywhere food shopping beach. It’s exactly what we wanted for such a great deal! Will come back forsure!

Great place. Comes with towels, amenities, and is walkable to the beach. Only the top room has AC so the rest of the house does get a little hot.

This place was even better than the pictures!!! We loved it here. 10 steps out the door and you can see the ocean. Can walk to shipwreck beach ... place was Clean and had a very comfy bed! The AC in the bedroom was amazing. If we ever come back to Kauai we would love to stay here again! Thanks kathy

An incredible, private and comfortable detached Ohana in a beautiful neighborhood. Conveniently located and walkable to numerous shops, restaurants and the ocean (beaches). This property is stunningly beautiful! It has a designer vibe yet is quite comfortable, incredibly well appointed, and centrally located. The communication with Aurora was amazing! She was super responsive and very informative! We have stayed in Airbnb’s all over the country and internationally and our family agreed that this was the nicest one we have stayed in and the best experience by far!

Nice spot for a family of 5 on an island adventure. the seacoast is a short walk and along the coast there is a hiking (or trail running) trails that can go 5+ miles. we never used the beach in front of the nearby hotel as it is rough, but walked to and snorkel at Poipu. the house has games, and a private backyard.

We loved our stay! We could have stayed 2 weeks. Loved the plunge pool feature and garden. Chilling out on the screen porch was so relaxing. We enjoyed making dinner in the modern kitchen and watching movies in the comfortable living room. Driving into Kapa’a was quick and easy either north or south route. Understand that Kauai is windy most of the time; the pool will have leaves fall into it all day. Just net them out before each dip.

We stayed our last night in Kauai at Jake's place, and it was nice to have somewhere very close to the beach while still feeling very private and peaceful. The only noises heard were the chickens. They have air conditioning as well, which made for a comfortable sleeping situation after having spent the last week in an un-air conditioned space that at times felt too warm and humid to be comfortable. We didn't make use of the kitchen, but it was a nice space. Not sure about the pans/dishes but the sitting area was comfortable. The bathrooms were nice a clean, and the beds were comfortable. We did book this last minute, and so we felt that the rate was well worth the amenities and comfort.

Jacob's place was wonderfully located! The rooms were spacious and can easily host a good group. He was communicative and provided good recommendations for nearby food and beaches. The chairs, wagon, towels, and other outdoor amenities were a major plus! Would definitely consider rebooking next time I'm in Kauai.

Giselle’s home was perfect for 6 persons. Each of the bedrooms were well appointed with comfortable mattresses, pillows and clean white linens. The bathrooms were well stocked with plenty of towels, soaps, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer. We cooked most of our meals. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking- appropriate pans, utensils, plenty of dishes and refrigerator storage containers. The dishwasher and washer and dryer came in very handy. Giselle has beach toys for children and there were spokes and flippers for snorkeling and two bicycles for a quicker ride to the beaches (which were many in number and very walkable.) Giselle gave us great information about the best beaches and we had a fascinating tour of Richard’s coffee roastery where he roasts and ships the coffee beans for his business: Kauai Roastery. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time here! We loved the location next to the Grand Hyatt and all that they have to offer. You can walk to shipwreck beach 5-10 min. Geralyn was very responsive to any questions we had during our stay. it was hard for us to find a place last minute that would accommodate 7 guests. this place worked out great it's just the right amount of beds. if you are looking to stay in Poipu/Koloa this is a great option. We loved all the beach gear available for use in the garage. Very convenient. Hope to be back again sometime in the future.

A welcoming hostess and responsive communication. The neighborhood happened to experience a water piping leakage, leading to suspension of water supply for a period of time as we checked in. Reema was able to provide timely solution that ensured us to have water access during the shortage and to retrieve what we left in the house timely. A very attentive and caring hostess. The unit is well located with quick access to many conveniences and beautiful beaches where you also get to see turtles sleeping in the morning by just a short walk. A highly recommended place to stay for its location and pricing.

Our family of 4 really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view of sunrise. Spacious, well stocked condo. Appreciated welcome goody basket filled with Hawaiian treats. Make sure to read instructions on how to open door. The downstairs living area does not have AC. We were there in early January and it was bearable but I think we would have been too hot in summer. The bedrooms were very comfortable with portable AC units. Management had very good and clear communication. We were worried about the nearby construction but we only heard them one morning around 8 as we were getting ready to leave for the day so it never bothered us but if you want to sleep in on weekdays, it might bother you. There is a public trail out back but the lanai is higher so you only see the people when you are sitting outside. Lots of people hike by at sunrise and sunset to see the view you get from the lanai in your PJs! Overall great convenient location and would definitely stay again!

We have visited Hawaii quite a few times, but really enjoyed our stay in your terrific Nihi Kai Villa. The views are absolutely amazing and your home had everything we needed for our adventurous visit to Kauai. Everything is so close! We spent lots of time surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, and attending a luau of course! Returning to the villa at the end of everyday was something we looked forward to. The available gas bbq's were also a nice availability we utilized on the few days we cooked at home. Overall we really enjoyed your place and will definitely be re-booking in the future! Mahalo

Kevin was a great host. I have never felt more comfortable at an Airbnb than at Kevin’s home. He gave incredible recommendations for restaurants and sight seeing. He went out of his way to accommodate us on our trip and is a very kind and respectful person. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Kauai. This place is a gem. Location, amenities, and the atmosphere are incredible. Great place to stay in Poipu Beach!

Incredible value for location! I searched for days trying to find affordable lodging for my family of 4 in Poipu. Although it’s not right on the beach it is in a very walkable location & not far from Poipu Beach. The athletic club it has access too is also pretty nice - the facility felt clean & well maintained. The only downsides for us was the bathroom & kitchen could use a little TLC (a deep clean and a few updates). But seriously, for the cost this place can’t be beat!

I had a wonderful stay at Merris’s place! The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had everything I needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. The location was perfect, and all the beach amenities were such a nice bonus. Merris was incredibly thoughtful, responsive, and welcoming from start to finish — truly a 5-star host. You can tell they care deeply about their guests’ experience. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island. Mahalo!

The place itself is great, exactly like the pictures and great location. Air conditioning, a great main bed and beach front can’t be beat. Bring: A small rental car Salt and pepper Your own coffee if you’re staying longer than 1 night Laundry detergent if you plan on doing more than 1 load of laundry All in all great experience and would stay again! All in a
