This is a private rental accommodation located next to the historic site of the former Sanjo residence in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture. The former Sanjo family has prospered in the shipping, silk, and sake industries in Miyazu Castle since the Edo period. It was also the residence of the Edo shogunate patrol officer, and in the Meiji period, it was the residence of Prince Arisugawa Takahito and Prince Komatsu Takahito, and is now designated as an important cultural property by the country. We have rebuilt the annex as an inn, "Miyanaka Kanbei Honten". The name of the house is the same as the sake brewery at the time. The owner carefully selected high-quality flooring and tiles while maintaining the atmosphere of that time, and placed selected sofas, tables, and bar counters in the living room on the ground floor. We have created a space for you to relax and unwind. Please spend your time in a high-quality space while feeling the history and seasonal changes of Miyazu, a port town that has fascinated many people since ancient times. Guests staying at the property will receive a free ticket to the former residence of the Mikami family! You can use it on either your check-in or check-out date. We hope you enjoy the Edo atmosphere. The opening hours of the Former Sanjo Matsuya residence are from 9: 00 to 17: 00. (Admission reception is until 16: 30) Closed during the New Year's holidays (December 29 - January 3).

A 115-year-old Kyoto townhouse near Nijo Castle, a historic heritage site representing Kyoto, has been reborn as an accommodation facility with a delicate renovation by an architect. While the exterior retains the atmosphere of a historic Kyoto townhouse, the interior is a space that harmonizes Japanese tradition and modernity. When you enter the entrance, you can enjoy the seasonal nature of Kyoto's unique tsubo garden, which is like a cut-out of the scenery in the mountains. The facility is a Kyoto townhouse with elegant taste, decorated with paintings by Japanese painters and decorations by craftsmen. It can accommodate up to 9 people in a spacious 100 ㎡ space. It is spacious enough to relax with family or friends, and is the perfect place to "travel like you live in the ancient city of Kyoto". There is also a kids' space for children to enjoy, so families with children can also have a comfortable stay. Nijo Castle is within walking distance, but access to major tourist attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Arashiyama, Gion, and Kyoto Imperial Palace is also good from the bus stop right next to the facility. Located in the heart of Kyoto, but in a calm and quiet area, you can feel the traditional Kyoto atmosphere with the unique Kyoto townhouses and historical buildings around you. A building where you can stay while feeling the region

A property that had been vacant for about 3 years in the "Kami-Miyazu" area, which boasts countryside scenery and is about a 10-minute drive from the center of Miyazu, was renovated into a private rental accommodation. It is 10 minutes to the sea, 15 minutes to Amanohashidate, and 45 minutes to Ine no Funaya. It is not a particularly beautiful facility, but you can spend a relaxing time unique to the area. Basically, we don't serve food, but if you'd like, you can book a breakfast onigiri set at the nearby onigiri cafe, which is limited to our facility (for a fee) We can also introduce you to local people, BBQ, harvesting experiences, e-bike tours in the area, and more. Please check with me in advanced. BBQ is also available for rent as a set for ¥2,200. (Chairs, stove, charcoal, lighter, from preparation to cleaning up) Food is not included. Please bring your own. We do not allow BBQs outside of rentals. In the garage, in addition to BBQ, you can do bicycle and motorcycle maintenance without getting wet from the rain. You can store it in a locked building, so you can travel around Tango with peace of mind. Parking is available right behind the facility.

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
