The black sand house is one of a kind. We spend the second half of our honeymoon staying in the home and will not soon forget the views, the charming town, and the serenity of the natural surroundings. Susana and Rita were delightful hosts. So impressed by their friendliness and great communication. They welcomed us with delicious local goodies and a bottle of wine. Truly felt like a luxury experience. We hope to be back one day!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Maria’s place!! The view was stunning, we loved the pool and it was so peaceful. The bottle of wine was a nice touch, and we had to it to celebrate our engagement! All of the restaurants in Ponto do Sol were amazing as well!

Without exaggeration: it was just incredibly beautiful and one of the most beautiful accommodations we have ever booked. Highly recommended, the apartment great, kitchen great (cooked a lot), the garden area with pool and amazing view great, the Putdoorküche great, beautiful plants and flowers everywhere. The hosts are warm, always available for questions, easy communication. We'd love to come back sometime. Absolutely fantastic!

We had a lovely stay! Very peaceful and relaxing location with beautiful scenery. Hire car is a must for getting around (if you ever want to leave) but very close to main roads so easy to get around the island. The hosts provided lots of helpful guides and recommendations: the sunshine bar & grill was perfect! The accomodation was clean and well equipped which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Madeira is a beautiful place with lots to explore and returning to this accomodation was a treat after long days!

This place in Madeira was hands down the most amazing Airbnb experience I’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly clean and thoughtfully organized. There was even an outdoor cabin with a washing machine, which was super convenient, especially when traveling with kids. But the highlight? The view. I’ve stayed in many places, but I’ve never seen a view like this from an Airbnb. Truly breathtaking — you could just sit and take it in for hours. The house is perfect for families, and the location couldn’t be better. You can easily reach every part of the island from here, making it a perfect base to explore beautiful Madeira. Communication with the host was also excellent — kind, responsive, and helpful throughout the entire stay. I can’t recommend this place enough. It was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.

We immediately felt at home in the accommodation. This is a really small oasis with a beautiful garden. After the hikes,we enjoyed cooling off in the pool and resting on the magnificent terrace. In the village, there are several restaurants for breakfast or dinner. We had the option of filling filtered water or also the possibility of washing our laundry. We would choose this fantastic place again any time. Just beautiful.

It was an incredible stay at an incredible place! Jardim do mar is a beautiful village, there is much to explore and see even if you don’t have a car. There are a lot of really cute and friendly cats and dogs in the area, much like all of Madeira. The location of UNI studios is fantastic, really close to both the village centre and the promenade by the ocean. Jota, the host, spotted us walking through the village with our luggage and kindly helped us to our unit :) he was helpful and available all throughout our stay and made sure everything was perfect. The unit itself is fully stocked with anything you could need, and is so clean! It’s also so aesthetically pleasing… It really feels like a breath of fresh air. There’s an herb garden with over 5 different types of mint and all these other healing herbs. There are retreats and events that happen at the communal pool, which you’re welcome to join. And the pool is a fantastic place to meet sunrises and sunsets. Thank you so much!

For anyone who wants a secluded beautiful home with amazing views look no further. This house is even better than described and so well equipped. We loved every moment and Fillip was a wonderful host, who was there to meet us and provide helpful recommendations. We ate at his fantastic restaurant and it was wonderful too. We were also very appreciative of the welcome gifts. A wonderful holiday in a beautiful area and amazing home.

We were very friendly received by Connie, who accompanied us, presented the accommodation and gave all the information we needed to have a pleasant stay. The accommodation is very well located, quiet, and offers stunning panoramic views of the mountain and the sea. Its large terrace allows you to rest in excellent conditions after the days of sightseeing. It is conveniently located for the various hikes, tours, restaurants and beaches that this beautiful island offers. We felt right at home. Rustic but very cozy. The location, the view over the mountains and into the clouds was simply magical and you couldn't get enough. Due to the fireplace in the living room and the great outdoor fireplace for cooking/grilling on the terrace, it was just perfect. It was also great that the firewood is free and plentiful. We will be happy to come back.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful villa! Everything was exactly as described: clean, comfortable, and very well equipped. The view was absolutely stunning, and the pool quickly became one of our favorite features. It truly felt like a home away from home. Communication with the hosts was smooth and pleasant throughout. Our stay at Rui's home in Faja Da Ovelha was beyond our expectations. If you are looking for a more secluded stay with views of your own this is the place. It's located not far from various hikes and you are just a small drive from areas like Sexial, natural pools, and the black sand beach. The cat was a much welcomed friend during our stay, we looked forward to seeing her each morning. We actually eloped during this stay right in the lower garden of the Airbnb, it was such a special day with a stunning backdrop. Rui was so kind to allow us to be able to do this and even brought the gardeners a few days before so everything was pristine. If you are thinking about booking ...do it...you won't regret it.
