Everything was excellent, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and set in a lovely quiet part of town. Carmo was a perfect host and I would happily always stay in her house on future visits to Madeira

We absolutely loved being right on the ocean! It was within feet of the house!- with the waves crashing and the patio where we ate all our meals, provided an excellent ambiance for our trip. We stayed 6 nights and were so glad we didn’t move around to other places. The promenade next to the house is very scenic and offered a one mile round trip walk along the ocean . Watching the surfers was also a plus.

Very well-equipped accommodation from the kitchen to the details, such as plaids for cool evenings, parasol for the beach, garden furniture, barbecue... a beautiful garden with beautiful sunset views...

Family home, nice in a very nice quiet village without a car. We fell in love with Jardim do Mar, its small alleys with its typical gardens! Thank you Sofia, we felt at home 😊🙏

Madeira is adorable and the place was too! The accommodation is superbly equipped, you have everything you need. The location is fantastic. In the bedrooms, there are small "windows" to fall asleep and wake up with the sound of the sea. Constantino was super nice, always helpful when we had questions about the island and he gave us great tips. Everything was clean, well-maintained and cozy. This Airbnb was worth every penny! We were more than satisfied!!! Thank you for this unforgettable time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BHF Residence. Odette was a wonderful host, checking in with us to make sure we had everything we needed and responding immediately to a mix up with our keys. The residence is located in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood with a view of the ocean, and easy access to restaurants and stores as well as some of the better hiking trails. The layout of the house is perfect for two couples, had all the amenities one would want and everything was super clean. Would highly recommend staying here.

It was a great stay. The house was very cozy and everything was available. You can quickly reach all the sights by car and can go directly from the house via a hiking trail to the village and the beach. We were more than satisfied! Johnny always responded quickly and was very helpful. Gladly come again

Had an amazing stay in Funchal. The house is beautiful, the photos do not do the view justice! Lovely quiet street perfect location only 10 minutes walk from the old town. The kitchen is also very well stocked with plenty of appliances and delf which was great appreciated. João was so helpful and kind, an amazing host that went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay. Highly recommend!!

I can't express how beautiful and peaceful this place was. It was worth every penny, you don't have to worry about anything. Everything is so well equipped, so clean, swimming pool with amazing views to Funchal. I come to Madeira every summer and it was at its best. I had my parents first time here and they absolutely loved it too. Maria was very kind and helpful from the time we booked the place. Hopefully to come back soon again.

This was by far the best AirBnB we’ve ever stayed in. Antonio was so helpful from the very beginning (he sent lots of info ahead of our arrival), made sure we could check in in the morning after our early flight and welcomed us personally at his lovely house with pool and all amenities one could look for (specifically in the kitchen and bathrooms, where we found all types of equipment, shampoo, tissues etc). The beds were comfortable, the view was stunning. We were a group of 6 and enjoyed cooking together (particularly barbecuing outdoors), but the house offered many peaceful corners for each of us to relax in, too. We also really appreciated Antonio‘s recommendations for hikes and other things to do on the island. Thanks a lot for everything!!

An all-round successful stay – we couldn't have asked for a better host! He was super friendly, always available and provided us with many great tips. Communication was smooth and each of our wishes were fulfilled. The place itself was a dream: very spacious, beautifully decorated, with a great view and a magnificent pool. We felt completely comfortable and would book again at any time!

The house was great and the outdoor area with the swimming pool and the barbeque was amazing. Most of our meals were there and we loved it! You definitely need a car to reach the house and to move around, but if you are ok with it, I totally recommend this place. Many great walks/levadas, the sandy beach of Calheta and the beautiful Paul do Mar are within easy reach with a car too.

What a nice place! We stayed at Danny’s place for 4 weeks! The place is big, really clean and well equipped. Danny is an amazing host, really responsive and friendly. Would 100% recommend!

The space was beautiful. We loved the decor and the large doors that brought brightness with a view of the beautiful courtyard with the pool. We were hosted very well by a very good host. What a nice touch! Susana also gave us several restaurant recommendations and communication was great. It took 8 minutes to drive to the city center. We found all the essentials to cook well. The accommodation was clean, but I can't ignore the shower. There was mold and, personally, despite the scent that had been added, I found the smell of dampness and mold unpleasant. Everything else was impeccable!

So most of the things were as described. the bathroom smell was resolved once opened up everything to air out. Parking was a issue a few times but we were gone most of the days driving the island. When we returned we had parking. Our critical thing but not huge was bed frame is a bit squeaky so when I would move wold wake my wife. and with jet lag was a issue not being back to sleep. The tricky thing to get in is key correct orientation. The little dot/bump on the key is to be in the 12 o'clock position, then like a commercial lock turn full rotations to have bolts open. this was a little tricky first time in the dark. other than that we had a fantastically good time here and would highly recommend for those that love the sea air and waves putting you to sleep. one more thing the restaurant nearby does party on Sat nite till 2am hahaha but we knew that as well.

Clean. Cute decor. Epic view. Provided sufficient towels, kitchen spices, oil and vinegar. Hot water was abundant. No window coverings. Bring eye mask. Lumpy and sloped mattress in main bedroom. Could be a quite a walk from parking especially in high season as you have to park further and further. No toaster. Oven works, it just takes a lot longer. Lighting is a mixed bag. Some stark blue fluorescent, some warm. Poor lighting in bathrooms. Lots of little flies that swarm in a circle inside if you have the doors open. No fans.

Beautiful, newly renovated place. Pleasing and soothing colors. Fabulous view and ocean sound. Excellent water pressure (best shower of the four places we stayed!) and very comfortable bed. Like so much of Portugal, narrow and somewhat steep stairs, but not problematic. Easy walk to market and restaurants. Short drives (20 minutes) to lots of hiking, and about a 35 minute drive to Funchal. We had a great time here, and highly recommend for a couple!

Great place, very clean, modern, with AMAZING balcony, extremely nice host who gave us recommendations and was very helpful from very beginning to the very end. I recommend it from bottom of my heart ❤️

Carlos is a very good host. The house is beautiful with all the amenities that make you feel at home and on vacation at the same time. The location is very good to easily reach all activities in the north of the island. A quiet location overlooking the sea with very beautiful sunsets. Looking forward to the next visit to Carlos' place.

This is my favorite air bnb ice ever stayed in! The house is wonderful and the bed is comfy. The pool and the views were out of this world! It was so nice to drink morning coffee and look at the ocean and the mountains. Sophia, who takes care of the grounds and cleaning, was so kind and helpful! The fridge was stocked with eggs, fruits, and cheese and there was a fresh bread delivery every morning. Sophia even did our laundry for us. It was the best stay ever and there are delicious restaurants within walking distance. I had a tricky time getting into the property because my cellphone didn’t have service and I couldn’t connect to the WiFi because I wasn’t in range. So I couldn’t use the app on my phone to get in. The host was very responsive and let me in and I was able to use the house key for the remainder of the trip. Definitely book this place, you’ll love it!

Everything was perfect! The host was super friendly. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, the place was clean and exactly as described. When we had a small issue, the host responded quickly and solved it right away. Check-out was just as easy. Would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful week in Madeira, which was mainly due to this great accommodation. We traveled with five, four adults and our almost three-year-old son. Yes, the accommodation is very close to the airport's runway, but that didn't bother us at all. On the contrary, for our son it was an absolute highlight every time a plane arrived. In our opinion, the place is superbly located. A state-of-the-art supermarket is located directly opposite, where there is really everything your heart desires. The airport is only 3 minutes away by car; one of the few sandy beaches in Madeira (located in Machico) can be reached in only 5 minutes by car; Funchal is 20 minutes away; Pico de Arieiro is 30 minutes away. The hosts are super warm and there is nothing missing there. The place actually looks exactly like the pictures, fantastically beautiful. All in all, a smooth 10 out of 10!

Wonderful base for Madeira; away from the main tourist accommodations so felt like a home away from home. Close enough to walk into Funchal (maybe get the bus back as it’s basically up hill all the way). Sao Martinho was about 30-60mins walk/10 min drive (further towards coast) downhill, so depending on fitness maybe a bit longer as some uphill. Close enough to local eateries and a supermarket. The accommodation had everything we needed. The hosts were lovely, responsive and very helpful! We appreciated them staying in touch whilst we were there via Whats App. We would definitely stay there again.
