Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Madeira Island

It is a beautiful place with lovely decor, amazing balcony and views, bus stop 1 min from the apartment. The host was nice and helpful. The whole place gets 100 points from us.

We just finished 2 magical days at Patricia’s home and cannot say enough incredible things of her place. The house itself is BEAUTIFUL, with an amazing pool and jaw dropping views. In addition to this she was so accommodating to us and made sure we were comfortable the entire time!!! Uber’s and Bolt’s are easy to call and extremely affordable. We did not want to leave and are already planning our next trip to her home!!

A very peaceful and private place to stay in Sao Vicente. Being spacious and having great views makes it a perfect place to rest between activities. Beds are comfortable and closets are fantastic. There was port, fruit, and cake waiting for us, which was a welcoming touch. It is about a 35 min drive to Funchal and closer to an hour to get to and from the airport. Less than hr to elsewhere on the island. Notes: 1) Access: To get to the restaurants and shops is a steep climb with stairs or road, so be prepared to drive down or get some exercise :) 2) Parking and layout: The gated 2-car port is on the roof of the home and is at the end of the street where there is viewpoint parking. It may be a little tight getting in and out if there are cars. You go down 1 floor to get to the bedrooms and one more floor to get to the living room/kitchen and pool. 3) Shopping: There is a grocery with long hours down at the shoreline (10 min walk). Scott’s place is a great place, not only because the back porch gave an EXCELLENT view, but there was a bus stop right outside the gate! Waking up and coming back to the gorgeous ocean view made our stay worth every penny!

Hello, José is a welcoming host. His accommodation is very clean and comfortable. We arrived at night and were treated to sandwiches with cake, some eggs, fruits and vegetables as well as cold milk. It was nice to stay at this listing. 😊

The stay was amazing, Jose was very cooperative and helped when we needed things to be fixed or done. He helped us check in very smoothly despite our flight being delayed. He is an amazing host, and the house is incredible.

We had an amazing stay at this adorable Santana cottage! The view was beyond stunning. The hosts are fantastic. They gave us a welcome basket and provided information about hikes and local restaurants.

The place was beautiful in a very quiet location with stunning views. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. The beach Calheta is 5 minutes by car easy to reach and highly recommended. We also loved the private parking. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are doing and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. The apartment is located near the airport, and it is quite convenient. This is a full-fledged apartment, equipped with all the necessary amenities, including an oven. Check-in was easy with the instructions sent. I was particularly pleased with the balcony, as it overlooks the ocean. The beach is nearby, there is a market on the beach where you can buy tuna, dorado and other fish at very pleasant prices. Host Mara responds promptly, is polite and sociable.

Great stay in Madeira in a rather well located, quiet and peaceful accommodation with an extraordinary view. Caring host, responds to requests and very good hosting. I highly recommend this listing!

It has been sometime since I stayed in a real home-y and cosy house like Betty's. Our whole group (two families with small children ) was very pleasantly surprised by this beautifully decorated home. There were many essentials as well as some offerings by the host readily available. The location(although not very close to the historic center) is fantastic as it is possible to walk to some famous rock pools and a beach, as well as many restaurants, a mall and a supermarket. Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

upon arrival we were very well received by Ana. She explained everything to us and we were even able to arrive a little early at the apartment. She gave us tips for sightseeing, dining, and also told us the nearest supermarket. Ana was at her best!!! The apartment is perfect, there is everything you need even more than we imagined. Thank you for everything! We were able to fully enjoy this beautiful island. And Gabriel spent almost all his evenings in the pool 😄 thank you again from all 3 of us

This apartment is in a great place, around the corner from the beach and at nice restaurants.

The stay at Juan’s House let us to relax in great atmosphere. The apartment is well equiped even including cofee machine. There is a view at ocean from taracce. It is very clean and very well prepared for guests.

Maria’s 8th-floor apartment was perfect! Super clean, spacious, and the balcony had amazing views of the marina, Santa Catarina park, and the city. It has two bedrooms — one with a double bed, the other with two singles — both with private bathrooms and closets. There are three bathrooms total, all spotless. The kitchen had everything, plus a dishwasher and coffee machine. Laura, who welcomed us, was so kind and helpful. She messaged me before arrival, arranged parking, explained everything in the apartment, and even brought us a big bottle of water and fresh coffee capsules the next day. She also gave great local tips. The building has great security and private parking. Honestly, the whole stay was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Madeira — close to everything!

The location is great, as there is a bus stop right in front of the building, with this bus you can easily get to Funchal within 15-20 minutes. Jose also offers an underground parking space. We were very warmly welcomed by Jose's mother, the communication was a bit difficult because she only speaks Portuguese and Spanish, but you could communicate well and we were shown the apartment and everything important. If you had any questions, Jose was always available and you got an answer from him within a few minutes. I would check back in anytime.

We stayed for a week with 4 in a very nice apartment. We enjoyed the 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Ideal for 2 couples. We highly recommend this clean and tastefully decorated accommodation. We enjoyed the individuality of the apartment and the outdoor space . It is up a hill but all good exercise ! The bus stop for the ride to Monte Palace Gardens is close by and makes a lovely day out . Carlos is welcoming and the apartment is lovely and clean .

The place is in an amazing location. 5-star reception. I'll be back!
