Apartment vacation rentals in Machico

This is a beautiful place! The pictures did not do it justice. It was open and spacious, we felt relaxed the minute we stepped in! We traveled with our 3 adult children and we had plenty of space. There were a lot of extra touches-fresh flowers, a cooler to use, swim towels, complimentary cake and wine, and blankets for use out on the patio. The parking was convenient as we rented a car for travel on the island. We took the path to town and wish we would have done this earlier to enjoy the beach. We stayed here for 9 nights as a couple and were absolutely thrilled. Communication was excellent, even before the booking – friendly, smooth, and very helpful, which gave us a great feeling right from the start. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished with high-quality amenities – nothing was missing. A real highlight were the balconies and the stunning rooftop terrace – perfect for relaxing! We were also able to use the parking space after arranging it in advance, which was very convenient. Grocery stores and great restaurants are within walking distance – the location is ideal. We felt completely at home and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

We were welcomed immediately very friendly by Connie, who gave us great tips for the restaurants in the neighborhood and some fresh vegetables from the garden. Connie and Johnny are always available for any questions, yet you have total privacy. The view is amazing, day and night. All furniture is from the highest quality, fully equipped kitchen, a perfect bed and an awesome bath. Worth every cent, just book it and you will have a dream vacation!

I would definitely recommend it, for us the location was perfect 7 minutes from the airport for our flight which was leaving very early! The sound of the planes didn't bother us at all. In addition, the host left us local products to taste! Thank you!

This place is a real hit! The location is perfect – everything you need is in the immediate vicinity, and at the same time you can really relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. The views from the property are absolutely breathtaking – every day you can admire the beautiful landscapes that take your breath away. The interior is very well maintained, clean and well equipped – I did not miss anything during my stay. The owner took care of every detail, so you can feel at home. A big plus is that despite the planes flying nearby, they do not interfere with the rest – on the contrary, they add a unique atmosphere to this place. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for comfort, beautiful views and a great location! I'll definitely be back.

Very nice location, the views are stunning. The accommodation is very clean. The cat adds an interesting touch to the experience. However, you have to be very careful with your food, the ants were very present during our stay, do not leave food on the counters, the ants appear quite quickly.

We had a wonderful stay at this place! The apartment was clean, well furnished and equipped with everything you might need – from the kitchen to little touches that make the stay particularly enjoyable. The location is ideal: in a few minutes you can walk to the beach, and the city center is also easily accessible. For nature lovers, there are great hiking trails in the area that can be started directly from the property. Supermarkets and other shopping are just around the corner – very convenient! Overall a completely successful stay – we will be happy to come back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect Stay in Machico – Just Steps from the Beach! 10minutes from airport and 25 min from Funchal. I absolutely loved my stay at this apartment in Machico! The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk from the beautiful beach and close to restaurants, cafes, and local shops. If you love a quiet and peaceful city, then Machico is the best. The apartment itself was clean, modern, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen and cozy living space. Mercador ( grocery stores..shops) 7 min walk. The host miss Alina was incredibly welcoming and provided great recommendations for things to do in the area. Waking up to the ocean breeze and the sound of the waves was magical. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Madeira! 😊

Our stay at Filipe was just what we wanted.Very close to the airport and close to the beach.Totally recommend it and we will definitely come again.

Filipa was a great host and this is one of the best AirBnb’s we have stayed in. Great location, only a short walk into town and the area is surrounded by cafes, restaurants and a park just over the road. Great space with lots of attention to detail and very clean. We loved Funchal and will definitely be booking this accommodation again when we return. Thank you for such a great stay.

The accommodation was lovely and really felt like a traditional Portuguese village. I loved waking up to birds singing from one window and roosters from another — it made the stay feel very authentic. Everything was just as I expected. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything I needed to cook comfortably. It was also very convenient to have a washing machine, and as expected, there was a hairdryer available. The accommodation itself is spacious, and there is a large terrace, which was really enjoyable. Carolina was super friendly and helpful. Her instructions with pictures were very clear and made it easy for me to find the accommodation on my own. She was also very kind to allow me to check in earlier than the usual time, which I really appreciated. She gave me great advice and shared some useful links that I actually used during my stay. Overall, it was a wonderful stay — I’d definitely recommend this place!

The place was beautiful in a very quiet location with stunning views. Everything was clean and furnished with love so that you can only feel comfortable from the first moment. It had everything you need, we also loved the many kitchen utensils and the grill, which we used every day. The terrace with whirlpool, lounge, loungers and table were the highlight. We spent a lot of time in the accommodation because we felt so comfortable. The beach Calheta is 5 minutes by car easy to reach and highly recommended. We also loved the private parking. Bruno and Maria are very accommodating and also asked how we are doing and if we need anything. The location was perfect for us, very quiet, lots of privacy and yet we can get everywhere by car. We are glad we booked at this spot! The balcony was wonderful to have and everything was clean. What stood out the most was our very responsive host making sure we got all checked in even while her car was broken down on the side of the road! Despite the emergency, she responded to all our messages promptly and helped us check in. I was extra grateful when I woke up extremely sick from some bad fruit the night before and we were allowed a late check out until I recovered! We even left one of our passports at check out and she made sure the staff kept it safe for us. Very helpful owners, would recommend.

Betty is the top host! She welcomed us with open arms. Very fast to respond, friendly and helpful! We were able to check out in the afternoon and enjoyed our last lunch at home before leaving for the airport. The view of the mountains is breathtaking at day and night time. The apartment is absolutely huge. It was our 3rd visit to Madeira with our elderly mum. She got beautiful bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in shower. Betty also got an armchair for mum so she could relax on the balcony. We had such a comfortable and great stay! highly recommended!

upon arrival we were very well received by Ana. She explained everything to us and we were even able to arrive a little early at the apartment. She gave us tips for sightseeing, dining, and also told us the nearest supermarket. Ana was at her best!!! The apartment is perfect, there is everything you need even more than we imagined. Cristina was a wonderful host, always available with helpful tips and recommendations. The apartment was very clean and tidy, furnished, arranged and equipped in the best of taste. Stunning view, very quiet, even if very near to the expressway, and because of that perfect located to get everywhere easy and quick. Restaurants of all kind available within short driving time. Overall - very advisable!

If I could, I would give to this accomodation and Patricia way more stars :) The flat is perfect. Great location, ocean view, everything was clean, nice and neat. Also those little, but big, details - dimmable light, extra fluffy blanket (not going to spoil more:) Watching stars while in jacuzzi.. Just awesome :) And Patricia is amazing host. Always quick answer, helpful, proactive, friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much and I will definitely book this place again, if we ever come back :)
