Our apartment is located 800 m above sea level and about 14 km from the center of Saalfeld. If you are looking for peace and time to rest and relax, you have come to the right place. When master baker Hans Lange settled here in Saalfed in 1546 with the secret Nuremberg gingerbread recipe, no one could have guessed that his business would continue for 19 generations. We, as the 20th generation, cannot bake as well as our ancestors, but we would like to welcome you instead to our former bakery shop and thus continue the family tradition in a slightly different form. Welcome to House of Wood, in the unique atmosphere of a natural log house. Here you will find a wonderful place to find peace and relaxation, go hiking and experience an incomparable starry sky. Our vacation home complex was built and designed with loving detail work over many years. It is located on the outskirts of our small village. Communication until check-in usually takes place through our daughter and co-host Sandra.

Welcome in the Thuringian Forest 🌲 our lovingly furnished bungalow offers everything your heart desires for nature lovers. Our property is located in the middle of nature on the outskirts of Dittrichshütte, a village at an altitude of 600 meters. It is very quiet with us as the road is hardly used. The accommodation is a great starting point for hikes and sporty mountain biking or motorcycle tours.

Our apartment is located in quiet forest surroundings but within walking distance to Sonneberg town centre. It is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers, with hundreds of kilometres of trails leading into the Thuringian Forest national park from our front door.
