Beachfront vacation rentals in Lapland

The cabin was great and Saara was very accommodating and responsive. The location was beautiful, and we were able to see the northern lights while standing on the frozen lake! The sauna was warm and cozy, and Rovaniemi was a short drive away. Thank you for hosting us, Saara!

Erittäin siisti ja viihtyisä mökki rauhallisessa sijainnissa lähellä Pudasjärven keskustaa.

Erinomaisella sijainnilla oleva toimiva koti. Majoittaja on erittäin avulias ja vastasi nopeasti kysymyksiini. Kauniit maisemat jokirannassa!

Oltiin perheen kanssa pääsiäislomalla Kuusamossa. Majoituimme Suvin mökillä joka tarjosi loistavat puitteet rauhoittumiselle. Viestittely Suvin kanssa oli joustavaa ja nopeaa. Mökillä oli puhdasta ja siistiä, sinne oli kiva tulla. Grillaaminen kodassa sekä rantasauna ja avanto aina päivän päätteeksi kruunasivat lomailun.

What a wonderful experience we had at the Riekonkieppi cottage. The perfect place for the full Lapland experience. The cottage, the sauna, the hottub, the kota, the quiet environment and the view on the lake. It was magical. We really enjoyed from the first to the last minute. Lotta the host was really helpful and friendly. We also booked a car and activities with her and everything was really good arranged. For a small family or friends, we can highly recommend this great cottage.

Wir haben es absolut geliebt! Die Hütte ist total heimelig und lädt zu gemütlichen Spielenachmittagen vor dem flackernden Ofen ein. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet, sogar Basislebensmittel wie Mehl, Tee, div. Gewürze, Nudeln, Reis, etc. waren vorhanden. Nicht unwichtig wenn der nächste Supermarkt 70km entfernt ist. Keine fünf Gehminuten ist der See entfernt, ein perfekter Ort zum Polarlichter schauen. Freie Sicht in alle Richtungen, sofern es die Wolken zulassen ;-) Keine nennenswerte Lichtverschmutzung in der Umgebung, ein Traum. Tero hat uns auf Anfrage diverse Aktivitäten empfohlen, wodurch wir Janne, den Rentierzüchter in Unari kennengelernt haben. Das war wirklich eine besondere Erfahrung, zwischen hunderten von Rentieren zu stehen, die sich wie wild ums Futter getummelt haben. Wir sind uns wie in einer Tierdoku vorgekommen ;-) Also wer es gerne abgeschieden mag, ist hier genau richtig :-D

Tainas and Taistos lovely little place is an amazing survival experience. We really enjoyed our retreat-like silent and peacefull visit. The cottages are small but if You are two people or even alone if You dare, outside and nature is the thing here. When the entertainment, buzyness, internet and restlessness is taken off your life for a while, You can deeply appriciate the silence and the nature and our origins once more.

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Haus war einfach unvergesslich! Die Lage am Fluss war absolut atemberaubend und die Aussicht auf die Natur rundum ließ uns jeden Tag aufs Neue staunen. Ein ganz besonderes Highlight war der Abend, an dem wir die Polarlichter direkt über dem Haus und dem angrenzenden Fluss sehen konnten – ein Anblick, den man wohl nur selten im Leben erlebt! Es war ein magischer Moment, den wir nie vergessen werden. Die Umgebung war unglaublich ruhig und privat – perfekt, um wirklich abzuschalten und die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Für uns war es die perfekte Auszeit, fernab vom hektischen Alltag. Die Fahrt zur nächsten Stadt und Einkaufsmöglichkeit dauert zwar etwa eine halbe Stunde, aber das war für uns überhaupt kein Problem, denn es hat sich absolut gelohnt, in dieser idyllischen Lage zu wohnen. Ein Auto ist hier definitiv notwendig, um die Region bequem zu erkunden. Alles in allem war es eine traumhafte Woche, die wir in vollen Zügen genossen haben.

Zeer mooie chalet waar we helemaal tot rust konden komen! We hadden enorm veel spijt dat we maar voor 1 nacht geboekt hadden. De host was ook zeer reactief en reageerde binnen de 5 minuten toen we een vraag hadden over de werking van de sauna. We bemerken slechts één minpuntje: er was maar heel weinig hout beschikbaar voor de open haard, hierdoor konden we maar heel even genieten van het vuur.

Als Familie mit 6 Personen und einem Kleinkind haben wir den Aufenthalt im großzügigen Ferienhaus genossen. Die küchenausstattung ließ keine Wünsche offen. Der Holzkamin und die geschmackvolle Möblierung trug zur behaglichen Atmosphäre bei. Die tolle Aussicht auf den See und die Beobachtung der Polarlichter vom Balkon und auch durch die großen Fenster, haben uns gefallen. Ilkka war sehr freundlich und zuverlässig, wir empfehlen ihn gerne weiter.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in Finnland. Die Unterkunft hatte zum entspannen eingeladen. Wir waren froh eine ruhige Umgebung zu haben, etwas außerhalb des Trubels. Wir können die Unterkunft nur empfehlen.

Linda and Semi's summer house is the best place for adults and kids to relax and play in summer. we stayed there for 2 days. The place provides countless recreational facilities. you can have suna, hot tub, fishing, paddling, table tennis, ... The rooms are clean. The kitchen is full-equipted. We had a great time there.

We had a lovely holiday in Sanna’s beautiful home. It was perfect for the whole family - even better than we had expected from the photos. The location was fantastic - only a few minutes drive to the town but so peaceful and right across the road from the lake. We enjoyed so many walks on the lake, ice fishing with the equipment Sanna provided, the hot tub and sauna and the youngest member of the family expended lots of energy on the bouncy castle in the basement. Sanna was so helpful with recommendations in advance. It has been a wonderful family holiday, aided by good weather, bright blue skies and great sights of the northern lights. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Disfrutar una navidad y año nuevo en un ambiente de nieve siempre fué un deseo. Más aún cuando vivimos encerrados por el Covid mucho tiempo. Por eso nos lanzamos a la aventura, viajar desde Chile a Finlandia, y tuvimos la suerte de encontrar esta pequeña casa, super acogedora, en la cual durante 30 días disfrutamos el invierno al norte de Finlandia. Anduvimos en trineo guiado por renos, caminamos kilometros (con cuidado) sobre el hielo y nieve sobre el mar, disfrutamos de noches de luna que iluminaban todo el paisaje de noche, los amaneceres de diferentes colores, nos insertamos en la vida cotidiana y disfrutamos de las comidas locales. También tuvimos la oportunidad de disfrutar las auroras boreales (no podíamos regresar si no las veíamos). Los espacios de dormir no son grandes pero suficientes. La cocina me encantó, tiene todo lo que se necesita así como el estar. No puedo dejar de lado el Hot-Tub que lo disfrutamos mucho, especialmente mientras estabamos a -21°C. Superó con creces las expectativas nuestras y Satu fué más que una excelente anfitriona. Realmente es un lugar maravilloso para disfrutar en familia.

Wenn man die Natur liebt und mal so richtig abschalten möchte, ist die Hütte ein absoluter Geheimtipp! Due kleine Schneeschuhwanderung zur Hütte im Winter ist inklusive und wirklich schön. Die Schneeschuhe und Schlitten standen alle am Parkplatz bereit für uns, und wir konnten dem Weg des Schneemobils zur Hütte problemlos folgen. Die Hütte ist sehr gemütlich, ein zentraler Kamin heizt schnell ein. Wir verbrachten gemütliche Abende am Kamin und im Kerzenlicht. Und dann wurde unser Aufenthalt mit den atemberaubenden Nordlichtern gekrönt. Alles in allem ein schöner Aufenthalt und wunderbar um allen Stress zurück zu lassen.

My stay at this Airbnb was nothing short of incredible! Outdoor activities were endless, from drilling the lake for ice fishing to exhilarating Nordic skiing. Opportunities for adventure continued with fat biking, snowshoeing, and unwinding in the authentic Finnish sauna. Spectacular scenery surrounded the property, making every moment feel like a winter paradise. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, ensuring a comfortable and unforgettable experience - highly recommend!

Villa suo-yrkänperä on upea, museomainen rauhan ja luonnon tyyssija. Metsästysmaat löytyvät läheltä ja paikassa saa todella nauttia rauhassa lomastaan. Kantovesi ja sähköttömyys sopivat tähän paikkaan. Aleksi on loistava majoittajat ja valmis auttamaan tarpeen tullen. Kaikki meni juuri kuten oli sovittukin.

We had an absolutely amazing week at the cabin. The surroundings were stunning and peaceful. The cabin itself was great, brand new and extremely warm and comfortable with everything you need. It was so easy to park the car and access the cabin. The sauna was fantastic and the views from every window of the beautiful forest and lake were unforgettable. Ritta was really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The location is idealic. Endless incredible walking trails within easy access. Ruka and Kuusamo are close by if you need a supermarket or restaurant. We rented a snow mobile in Ruka which was great and went to Pizzeria Ruka one night which was really good. I would definitely come back, Lapland is heaven and the most beautiful place I've been. We even saw the Northern Lights on our last night, a perfect end to our holiday!

We spent 10 days in this beautiful house in beautiful surroundings. The magnificent lake closeby, the remoteness and still having Pello and Rovaniemi at a good driving distance, the quietness and every morning that lovely view from all of the windows, the sauna, the crisp morning air, ....we look back at a fantastic time : we fell in love with Pello-Lappi. Thank you Aini and Risto and Hanna, for letting us spend time on your property ; it was a privilege. Thank you for the personal stories you shared, for your kindness, your friendlyness. We would love to be back and see the place in an other season.

Localisation : superbe endroit isolé près d'un lac. silence apaisant. Belle nature. Il faut être en voiture. Le logement est très cozy surtout le soir avec le type d'éclairage. Pour cuisiner, il y a un poêle à bois ancien avec plaque en fonte et à côté une plaque à induction. Donc si vous voulez cuisiner avec plus de 2 casseroles, l'induction ne suffit pas. Magnifique poêle de masse qui permet de belles flambées et facile d'utilisation. Un mode d'emploi très bien fait est fourni. Sauna à bois ce qui est plus agréable que le sauna électrique, super odeur de bois. On n'y prête pas attention sur le plan mais il faut passer par la terrasse donc l'extérieur pour aller du séjour à la salle de bain et wc. Cela se fait très bien même la nuit :) par -15°. C'est original et on se sent encore plus en Finlande !! Accessoires de cuisine en nombre suffisant, bonne literie. Rideaux occultants à toutes les fenêtres. On s'y sent bien. Nous recommandons ! 😊

Host gave detailed instructions for check in and was responsive to messages. The apartment is located just a short 1-2 minute drive away from the supermarket. House is cosy and there is an indoor sauna and outdoor tub available for use. Thank you Marita for the nice cosy place ◡̈
