Wonderful stay and amazing host! The communication was excellent from start to finish. When I made a booking mistake, the host handled it with kindness and flexibility. The place was a bit tricky to find, but she has clear directions that she shares with you as soon as you book. She was also very accommodating with my check-in time, which I appreciated after coming straight from work. Although the cabin is attached to the main house, it’s separated by a locking door, and we had complete privacy. Walter and Winnie, the basset hounds, were adorable and friendly! I especially enjoyed birdwatching and seeing a group of deer in the valley at dusk—so peaceful. Cleanup instructions were simple, and even after we left, the host was kind and quick to answer questions about booking again. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Our family thrived at Liz’s cabin! The river was perfect for my younger kids—calm and shallow in most areas, great for first-time kayakers. For more adventure, we tried paddling upstream, which was a fun challenge and a great life lesson in perseverance! Downstream and around the cabin is smooth and peaceful, perfect for kids. I recommend bringing a cooler with simple meal ingredients. I packed sandwich supplies but wished I’d brought more—vodka pasta would be ideal here! I made a quick run into town for spaghetti, but options are limited (as Liz notes in her very helpful guide). We also had dinner at Pokegama Lakeside—great food, a beautiful lake view, and an authentic Native American canoe on display! Liz has created a truly magical place. The natural landscaping, cozy cabin details, and high-quality linens made it so comfortable. Thank you, Liz, for such a special stay!

Beautiful lake cabin. Had a lot of fun using the hot tub, kayaking, and sitting around the campfire. Stephanie is very responsive and checked in multiple times to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The cabin itself was kept very clean and very cozy. Would definitely stay again!

My husband and I stayed here with our two dogs. We had a lovely time relaxing and enjoying the scenic views, and our pups loved swimming in the pond. I plan to come back in the fall to enjoy the colors!

This was a truly spectacular place to stay, with beautiful surroundings, excellent amenities, and a very communicative host who accommodated all my needs perfectly. An extremely comfortable cabin and excellent for families. 10/10 and will be back.

This place is "ON" the Flambeau. Yard critters from whitetail, geese, ducks to turkey. Must try a pizza at the South Fork, walking distance.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this property. Convenient location for us to see our daughter easy access to the trails and some great recommendations also in their guidebook :-) perfectly comfortable.

So when we pulled up I thought we had the wrong address. I just assumed from the look of the place and the name that this was a stand alone cabin. It was exactly like the photos show and we had a great time being all together instead of in 3 different hotel rooms! Loved the poker table to play games!! Thank you so much!

We stayed at Casa Bella Rosa with a group of friends to escape everyday life, relax and enjoy each other's company. We hiked, visited wazee beach, shopped the town and dined at the classic Pizza Hut for nostalgia. This house was exactly what we needed. We really enjoyed the fact that we were secluded and surrounded by nature. The house has great outdoor areas to hang out. The game room and bar downstairs were where we spent every night. The "bistro", as we called it, was such a cute photo op. The bedrooms and beds were all very clean and nice. There are so many little touches all over the house that made our stay just that much better. A sound system or larger TV in the basement would kicked it up even higher. The couches and chairs throughout could also use updating, they didn't have much life left in the cushions. Those 2 details would make this place top tier. Beth was very responsive and helpful in making our stay comfortable. We will definitely considering staying here again!

We have been staying at Carisa's place for years and it's always an awesome experience. We love Galesville and the surrounding area. This year we were really excited to bring our 8 month old for the first time. Carisa provided a brand new pack and play, making it one less thing we had to bring. We felt super at home and can't wait to return!

We loved our 3rd stay at Mia’s Black Dog Lodge. It is very clean and well-supplied. The lodge fits our needs for a small ladies retreat perfectly.

Great place for our family reunion (10 adults and 1 kid)! Highly recommended for a peaceful retreat with beautiful surroundings right on the lake.

If there is one word I would use to describe Denise's home, it is peaceful. A quiet spot on a tree lined street in a really sweet little neighborhood. The location is close to Mayo, but so restful and relaxing - away from the downtown activity. Inside the house is not as fancy as some, but very clean and very comfortable with plenty of space. I am a very light sleeper, and Denise's place is a great sleeping house! So, so important if you're coming to Mayo. The longer you are there, the more you appreciate how special this place is. And Denise is truly responsive and caring. Overall such a great experience.

My son and I had a great stay at Serendipity! Bob and Lisa's place was a perfect getaway from the city. Bob and Lisa were great communicators and checked to make sure our stay was going well. The space itself was perfect for the 2 of us. The lake is right outside the door and we took advantage of the offered kayaks to get out on the water. We caught better than 50 fish right off the dock! We are already planning our return trip next summer!

Beautiful apartment, many Winona elements and the giant tub is amazing.

Perfect little cabin for a weekend getaway! Loved having a grill for our use and the screened in porch was perfect for bug free relaxing after a long day of riding! We will be back!!

Another great stay at Kevin's place. Kevin was very accommodating, responsive and helpful. We hope to stay again next year when we are in the area.

I would rate a 10 if it was an option. I stayed for over a week and Berni's place worked out perfect in so many ways. It had everything I needed including plenty of space to store my things in the kitchen and bedroom. The place and furniture were well taken care of and the linens were clean and fresh. The place flowed very well so I always felt like I was in a home versus a 'space'. The location was peaceful, very walk-able, close to a local trail that interconnected with the city, and I felt very safe in the area. Berni was an amazing host, very personable, and responded very quickly when I reached out to her. I felt very welcome (including the delicious bread she left for me at arrival) and she treated me more than a mere airbnb renter. She was quick to recommend places that may be of interest to me as well. I would definitely stay again. In fact, her place is going on the top of my list.

This was our 4th annual winter getaway to the cabin. We always enjoys the serenity of the cozy cabin and it's lake front views, which makes it perfect for ice fishing. After a day on the ice, we warm up in the sauna or by the fire, work on puzzles and enjoy home cooked meals in the fully equipped kitchen.

It was a beautiful stay!! The view on the deck was amazing in the mornings next to a cup of coffee. I would stay here again immediately. The open room floor plan was spectacular and super cozy. We had a few movie nights with some wine and it was so peaceful. Hardly any noise aside from the owls and birds at night which made it seem like we were deep in the woods. I would suggest this place to anyone that is going to be in pepin county. 10/10 host service as well. We felt safe and secure while also feeling like we were in our own world. Can’t say enough praises about jaclynn and her place. Beyond my expectations. Thank you Jaclynn!!!!!
