Family-friendly vacation rentals in Lake Austin

My wife and I enjoyed this place for our weekend getaway. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. Also, The Island Bar and Grill was great to have in the building. I’ll definitely recommend again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We most likely will be back and recommend others to stay here as well. The value was great for the place and view. There were a few minor wear and tears on items but we didn’t stay in the room long enough for it to affect our stay or opinion. I absolutely loved how spacious the balcony is, the seating areas, and the ability to see the pool and the lake at the same time. It was an amazing view. There were a few minor issues with plumbing in the garage but we weren’t near or at the room so honestly we wouldn’t have known anything about it if the host wouldn’t have communicated it. I believe this is a gem and I’ll definitely stay again.

Travis was an exceptional host. He was quick to communicate if anything was needed and offered multiple amenities. The space itself is very private, great for photos especially around the lake, it's just you and nature. If the weather wasn't so cold we definitely would've hit the water. Hadn't ever heard of spicewood before, but would come again! Thank you again Travis!

So amazing and perfect for our couples getaway. This place was beautiful and worth the experience. We were super surprised at the privacy we had. Yes there are other families there in the other houses but it felt as if we were alone with the whole place. We are so grateful and will genuinely miss the place. Trisha is so attentive and helpful. GREAT host overall. Definitely try this place out.

We've stayed here for both short and long visits - it's a great spot. Very convenient, walkable to popular restaurants, and centrally located for all that Austin has to offer.

The pictures did not do this place justice! It was way more beautiful in person! When you first drive in, you are greeted by the cute goats!!! It’s all enclosed and very relaxing and quiet! The cabin was adorable and very well kept! The only downside was the one scorpion we saw! 🤭 can’t stop nature though, and the place was totally worth the scorpion visit. Beautiful and would definitely go back, maybe even try the yurt next time!!!

Our family of 7 enjoyed our weekend stay at this lovely location. The house is spacious and has lots of options for entertainment and visiting. Hosts were very responsive and proactive i. Declaring exactly how to find the house. The kitchen was very clean and we were easily able to make several meals for the family.

We had a great stay at this home and really appreciated how communicative the host was-always quick to respond to any questions. The home felt very “lived in,” which we actually appreciated for a kid-friendly stay. The photos were accurate overall, though the exterior was more overgrown than expected and the trampoline looked a bit “play at your own risk.” That said, our kids had an amazing time with the seemingly endless toys, and it was a huge relief not having to bring bulky items like a stroller or a Pack ‘n Play, since they’re here. The beds were very comfortable, the A/C kept us cool during a hot Austin weekend, and having a good washer/dryer made life easier. The location is definitely a strong point—easy access to some great local spots, including Launderette and Bufalina, both of which we’d highly recommend. Check-out was simple. Our only real suggestion would be a deeper cleaning refresh to match the overall comfort and utility. This place is equipped for families!

This stay was exactly what we were looking for! We brought our two dogs, who absolutely loved the enclosed yard. Although the home was a bit on the smaller side for four people and two large dogs, we made it work and had an amazing time. Aaron was incredibly quick and helpful in all communications! Could not recommend enough!

This really neat place was great for a family of four! We were able to settle and rest between fun Austin events. The location provides easy access to downtown and cool east Austin spots. Everything was stocked, maintained and as advertised. The massive tree outside covers 4 different yards! Meg was quick to respond during booking and checkout. Recommend!

Really enjoyed our stay at Drew's place. The pool and outside area were awesome. The neighborhood was a short walk to south congress but also very quiet and peaceful. Drew was very communciative and flexible. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Austin. Thanks!

we felt like it was an absolute honor to stay in this artistic tribute to all things wonderful - whether a picture of a giraffe peering in the window to see what you are cooking, or a small plastic pig figurine looking down from above the shower. What an experience and we suspect each item displayed has a rich story that could go along with it. The artful displays provide a rich coziness to the experience in this large home. The owner keeps the place spotless and supplied with anything you might need. She is a super communicator and readily available to assist in any way. This is a place you do not want to miss - it is as unique as they come and very comfortable!

Exactly as described- a place to get lost in nature and unwind and relax. It was exactly what we were looking for!

We really enjoyed our stay! The home was clean, spacious, and perfect for our large group. It’s close to lots of attractions, which made getting around super easy. We loved the extra amenities — the cute little putt putt corner, pool, and outdoor dining area were huge highlights. The beautiful trees in the yard added such a nice, relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again!

Steven was super helpful and provided the best air bnb I’ve ever stayed at ! I stayed for the weekend with my girlfriend and another couple and the house he provided had everything we needed and more. I would recommend staying at Stevens and personally would stay again if given the opportunity

Hacienda was more than perfect for the bachelorette! The space was great for 7 of us girlies and very clean. Hosts were available if we ever needed anything, clear instructions on entering the bnb and even allowed us in a little early. Highly recommend this bnb for anyone visiting for a bachelorette or birthday! Easy drive to downtown or local restaurants as there’s everything you need nearby. Thank you for a great place!
